  • why cant my dell mini 10 with 1.6 ghz 1g ram and 160g hd run as good as yours?

  • can u play wow on a acer aspire 5315?

  • Comment removed

  • Sure I play on acer 5315 with no problems, just make sure u have least 1 or 2gb of ram

  • I'm using the A150 model with the 10.1 inch screen and I can play wow minimum lag unless in Org and get decent frames while in normal areas. Be advise this is at minimum graphics. Still I have been away from my desktop for 2 months now and it does the job just fine. I am now a major Acer fan... Great laptop

  • i may get crucified for this but can an acer run conquer online?

msg me the answer cause i dont check my comments

  • how do u actually play the game wivout a diskdrive? dnt wna sound noobish but i relli wna kno, do i plug a diskdrive in or can i play it online or sumfin pls reply asap =]

  • you just buy a dvd rw external drive and plug it into the usb port, Just look external dvdrw drives on google. u can get a god one for around $50- $70

  • u can also download the game legally from their homepage for free.

  • you can also share a disk drive on your network and download it that way too...

  • you can download the game online. you could install with a external disk drive or you could instal by copying your world of warcraft folder from another computer

  • your a fuckin retard the disc dont need to be in to play its not a fuckin xbox

  • Fraps destroys the FPS..

  • hey im on a dell vostro, and i have an avg, 15-20 fps not in towns, like 15 questing out in outlands, how will it be in northerend?

  • Get a program called GMAbooster, it gives you a better performance, roughly about 20-25% faster. With a tradeoff of a slightly slower battery life.

  • there is a much easier way to get wow on one of this sweet mini laptops

i assume you have a main computer with wow b4 getting this mini laptop, . download winrar and compress wow into 5-7 gig files. then get a memory stick of 5-8 gig of memroy, transfer the parts. install winrar on the mini laptop, extract the files, and your good to go

  • woah I'm really impressed

  • would my acer aspire 5515 work on world of warcraft???

  • WoW that's pretty good for a business laptop

  • Please Reply ;) thanks

i'm thinking of getting this Acer Aspire One A150L. and i was wondering, say i buy it and i get everything up and running... now it's time to download WoW.. can i just go straight to the website, download everything, then start playing right? i won't need to install anything to the laptop will i?

    PLEASE REPLY, THANK YOU!

  • Yes, u can download it without any other programs

  • thank you :)

  • @foekvaboen

    hi men..

    a question..

can you run wrath of the lich king on this Acer?

  • @alucard666111 I play Wrath of the Lich king on my asus eee pc 1005ha.

    1gig of ram

    1.66 gigahertz processor

    160 gigabyte hardrive

And the world's crappiest graphics card (integrated graphics (video card and motherboard in one)

    I average 11 fps.

Make sure you do your research and get one with a real graphics card though if you are going to play wow on this.

  • That will be a multiple gig download. There are a couple of ways around that.

    Buy an external DVD drive.

Map a DVD drive from another computer over the network.

Copy an existing installation from another computer using your network or external storage. When you get the WoW folder on the One, run the repair program in the folder. You will have to create your own icons, and it doesn't always work.

  • hey i just got mine last night and i found out that it docent have a cd or dvd drive what can i do to upload WoW into it does it lag a lot

p.s. i don't want to download it from the internet or should i just return it and get a regular laptop

  • i have regretad buying this PC some but i didnt buy it as a main pc as i have 1 desktop and 1 laptop from before, just bought it for the size(and it looked interesting^^)

  • Four options:

    Download multiple Gigs from internet.

    Buy an external DVD drive.

Map a DVD drive from another computer over the network.

Copy an existing installation from another computer using your network or external storage. When you get the WoW folder on the One, run the repair program in the folder. You will have to create your own icons, and it doesn't always work.

  • thanks for that,

so it IS possible to download it from the website onto this specific netbook?

you know what i mean, right? the top option: ''Download multiple Gigs from internet.''

but then someone called 'Runescene' then commented saying that you needed a external hard drive. but he said for Linex. and mine isn't a Linex, it's coming as a Windows XP edition. so i guess i could use the internet. but external hard drive maybe is easier?

  • If you are buying one with XP, ignore Runscenes post.

I haven't used this specific netbook, but I just installed WoW to an old Thinkpad with worse specs, except for monitor size. I used an external DVD burner for the install.

Go to WorldofwarcraftDotCom. After you set up your account, you will have the option to download. The other options are much much faster though if you have the means and will be useful for other programs.

  • You must buy an external DvD drive, to download world of warcraft.

You mmust first however go onto the internet and download ubuntu for linux. (I have done this)

Then you must download a program called wine.

Using the add/remove program you can download Java and all that sort of stuff.

using the external dvd drive you must download WoW.

  • You don't have to buy an external CD. The client can be downloaded. Or you could mount a drive from another computer on your network.

Ubuntu is awesome, but if you plan on playing WoW on one of these often, I would opt for XP. The game will run much faster in its native operating system. There is plenty of space on the HD to dual boot if you wanted. If fact, unless there is a significant price difference, buying one with XP pre-installed would be a better value since Ubuntu is free.

  • you can download wow on the website.

  • does that mean its crappely slow in main citys? plz reply!

  • Yes,im affraid it does espially after the expansion pack

  • how slow ? coz im gettin an acer aspire 1 4 xmas and i no 4 a fact dat my mum just bought me wow 2 put on it =0

  • in main cities, instances and BGs the avarage FPS is around 2-8(8 is very lucky)

  • kk thnks !

  • How could he use fraps on a netbook?

  • The first thing u do is to install fraps then u use it LOL!!!! ur question is moronic!!!!!

  • This is Really Fast!

    i Will buy it.

  • dude, he sped the vid up -.-

  • i did not speed up the video if i did the 60% flying mount wouldnt fly as a 60% flying mount lol

  • im thinking about getting wow and i know for a fact im gettin an aspire one, im not 100% sure about the specs but i know its 1.6 ghz. 160 gig HDD, and 1 gig of ram. is that gonna make a difference with the lag you say there is in main cities? tbh ive never played wow =P

  • The PC this was recorded on is the same as the one ur gonna get, so im guessing there wont be a difference.

  • tbh pointless , Lagg in a MMo sucks you need to be running nice and smooth to play imo.

  • would i be able to play an mmorpg such as tibia/wow/guildwars/RS2? on this?='/ i have the 1.6gz, 120GB, 1GB RAM, DDR, model

  • i dont know about other games then WoW, but it can be played(laggy)

  • ItchyBottoms,

if you can run wow, you obviously can run tibia and rs2. as for guild wars, yes you can run it too.

  • I just got this laptop. And wow runs below 10 fps in Orgrimmar / Iron Forge.

I got all my settings on low and updated my graphics drivers.

    Any tips?

  • no sorry dont have any good tips but try to run as few programs as possible, and have it in fullscreen with the lowest settings:D

  • You can see my video response... I've heard that if you run Windows Media Player in the background it makes things load into the memory faster, but I think this is an outdated solution. I have the 1.5 GB of ram installed in mine and IT doesn't even help much. I've also heard if you lower your monitor refresh rate it can help, but sadly the laptop doesn't allow this. I've found no solutions except 1. DON'T RAID on it 2. DON'T PvP on it 3. USE IT ONLY for grinding levels/skills/gold solo. :)

  • Try and lower the screen resolution, I saw a video of a guy putting wow on an eeepc and he used some program to help it run. Its still up on youtube.

  • is this the aoa 150-1507 and is it good in stormwind because com i am useing now lags the whole time in stormwind

  • i mean 1570

  • How can you install the game in it?

  • i installed it on a desktop-pc and copied the files in C:\ and put then on the Acer:)

  • nice ...

wonder how it goes in bgs .. have you tried ? what about main citys ?

    thanks !

  • in bgs the max ur going to get about 15 and thats with alot of tweaking on the graphics options...its the same in maincitys(if there alot of players:)

  • oh i see

    thanks for replying :D

  • no problem:D

  • Fraps tends to slow down the game some while you run it because it's capturing video and storing to hard-drive so the game should run a bit better than video is showing right?

  • yes it actualy runs quite well without fraps

    (10-25FPS)

  • I can tell the draw distance is turned down some, is that only graphic setting turned down?

And the video card drivers for Aspire one, is there newer ones or anything you can do to make it run faster? tweaked drivers?

  • there is none that im aware of but ur welcome to look for ur self

  • cool thanks, i'm really wanting to get this laptop

  • can you play wow on a Acer Aspire One Intel Atom Processor N270 1.60GHz Netbook? Because I only have around $400 for a laptop and an acer aspire is all I can afford.

  • u can play but it will probably be some lagg

  • Whats your fps without fraps running like..? at the place you were(or a random place in outland)

also could you inform if your playing on LOWEST graffical settings or ?

  • The FPS is actually quite low (around 7-17) but its still pretty playable.

the graphic is on the lowest, in full screen and no other applications.

it works totally fine for travelling and single fighting:D
