if you want to get the good finds take your dog out for a walk through out the neighborhood the evening before the garbage runs if you don't have a dog have some of your friends and family members scope out the neighborhood when they are out walking or driving around and have them call and tell you the location its at and then go get it thats what i used to do and i used to do pretty good too.
go to cleveland ohio and pick in the ohio city area they throw brand new stuff out there if not new its like new or valuable like one time i found a rolex in a box of stuff somebody threw outand another time i found forign change and a container of jewelery which contained a 10 karat gold ring with a genuine tigers eye in it and it was worth like three hundred bucks and a antique brooch and old mickey mouse button which i still have,
lol... watched your video & went out scoping garage in my 1996 t-bird : ) found 5 bikes, 1 washing machine, 2 grilles, a mirror, 3 brand new packages of bed sheets in a store dumpster they cut the face of the packages with razors but of damaged the top sheets ... lol so, i got new pillow cases & fitted sheets & and new pillow top sheet : ) 6 t.v.'s figured i'd take out the insides a couple store shelving units & 3 boxes of 50 maybe 4 foot long new fluorescent lights bulbs i need a truck : )

(sold typically 40% markup as "scrap") as for the go carts, most yards will payout Less Than Trailer Load (LTL) but will sell themselves at Trailer Load (TL) at about a 40% markup for mixed/steel or "Dirty" aluminum so if you really want something bad just ask, afterall they are there to make money though a few may lecture you about usuability & be jackasses so persist.

Yeah there is a lot of people proling around on trash day out here. About 2 days ago we found at least 12 water heaters piled alonside a remodeled apartment complex. If I was a scaper I would take it. All I know is that hey are fuckin heavy as hell.lol. I am just a dumpster diver so I know nothing about the worth of scrap at all. I see more scrapers then dumpster divers around here so I guess thats new. If I cant sell it,lay on it,eat it or wear it I generaly dont care for it.LMFAO.
what happened was the prices went to 12 dollars per 100 pounds then they started dropping since that. now there at 3 dollars but they will go up so i stock pile scrap in the woods. copper you can get like 1 dollar a pound and car batters like .66 aluminum is like .30 right now thats pretty good im saving up bikes hehehe to do it you really good but need a truck or a trailer.
i had an old, working crt that i wanted to get rid of, and the charities wouldn't even take it. what are you going to do with the ones that you trash picked? i was thinking that i might make a small fish tank.
Sell them and make more money to buy a house!
