Thank god for the retro stations-RTV and Antenna tv cause after ADAM-12 ceased Production in 75 i never saw it again in sydnication(in Fresno Ca) rediscovering it all over again
I remember watching ADAM 12 in prime time, then the afternoon. I love how they go from incident to incident...usually when they are about to eat. I had the pleasure of interviewing Mr. milner on my Public Access series REQUIRED VIEWING (1979 - 2007). I hope you don't mind me mentioning that you can see it by typing into search: route 66 festival part 1. your clip brought back some great memories. Mr. Milner was as nice as could be, even nicer. check it out, and, thanks.

wore the badge as a reserve officer for 22 yrs and yes this was the best damn cop show period.I grew up on this and there have been plenty of cop shows but only 1-Adam 12!!!
Cool. What steering wheel does it have. I'd rather the contoured version (which came standard with the Satellite Custom Sedan, the Satellite Regent Wagon and the Satellite Sebring coupe)over the one in the A-12 Satellite.
Of the 5 cars used for Adam-12, I'm partial to the 1971 Plymouth Satellite used in the fourth season. There were 5. The '67 Belvedere used in the pilot, the '68 and '69 Belvederes used in the first 3 seasons. the aforemention Satellite used in the fourth season and the '72 Matador used from Season 5 to the end.
No sweat, just get some screen capture images, and give them to any competent commercial artist. They can reproduce the artwork and then there are now loads of choices for printing the decals digitally.
Piece 'o Cake.
And if the LAPD complains about their ID, I'd just modify the text to "Metro PD" or whatever. Not a real biggie if all you do is trailer it or drive it to some local car shows or whatever.
True, but that would mean that you would have to change the entire door art, because it involves the seal of the City of Los Angeles, and the canister top lights were an LAPD exclusive. But, who knows, they might decide to let you get away with it, as long as you don't drive it around as a public vehicle.
The announcer is veteran New York voice-over Norman Rose, and this promo was probably seen on local NBC affiliates, with audio space at the end for the local announcer's reminder to- "Watch 'ADAM-12', tonight at 8, on WSTE, Channel 24...".
It was a great eposide; though it was not a 2 parter, but it should have! I have not seen that eposide in years. I would love it if someone had a copy of "The Search" and post it here!
In my old cassettes recorded from tv I have this one from during it's NBC run on KHON Honolulu from around 1973. The open part looks like that Wednesday Night promo from fall 1972 if you've ever seen it with Adam-12. Search am the Mystery Movie.
Cool promo! It appears that a lot of the scenes in the promo come from season four: the last few clips are from the episode "The Search" when Pete Malloy chases a robbery suspect in Griffith Park and totals the patrol car, leaving him injured and Jim Reed having to find him.

This promo had to be at least after the 4th season, because the clip at the end comes from an episode from that season.

Hey, more "I love Lucy" on TV land. How about 50 more shows instead of 30?

I love this show! I wish TV Land would bring it back. :)

I am restoring a 1971 Plymouth Satellite currently to be a Adam 12 clone. Looking forward to it being completed.

Better work hard at it, because I don't think that the Los Angeles Police will give up the decals for the doors.

Yeah, and at the end of this promo, the 71 goes bounding into the woods, and mysteriously changes into a 69 there for a moment!
More of Jack Webb "who cares about the continuity, we need to save money!" Happens on the show once in awhile too, pretty funny.

Remember the episode that came from, bud? I do . . . the episode was entitled "The Search," where Malloy takes a dive off a cliff.

On these kinds of promos they often use clips from the season before. Thanks for posting these files.
