i like Weezer's original version better.

His voice in this version is nice, very pleasant, but the girl with all of the effects and volume is overpowering and distracting.

and the added power to his voice towards the end is nice but it would have been better if the instrumentation somehow got stronger too, because it seems like he's just sort of yelling uselessly. like, only the vocals got stronger, but the entire song itself didn't pick up.

i give credit where its due, and im a die hard =w= fan. this is a well put together cover, and while its vocals and music give a great tribute to the orginal, i dont think anything can surpass rivers and the gang.

Actually, it's split into two different songs by Rivers Cuomo and Matt Sharp- Jamie, and Jamie II, also called Mrs. Young.

Jamie II/Mrs. Young was later rewritten by Matt Sharp, and used for The Rentals' first album.
