  • The music to this song sounds like a slower version of The Jackson's "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground"!!!!

  • @rosamaryful It does!

  • I LOVE EL but why he always FUCKIN UP?

  • My Jam right here!!

  • nossa que saudade!!!bons tempos!!!!

  • around the 2:25 mark. nice..giving me a Herbie Hancock vibe

  • Why this song reminds me of "Shake your Body" from the The Jackson?

  • @hildergarn - I was setting here thinking that as well, you have to remember this family is very close to the Jackson family and I believe they'll be in each other lives as long as Janet and James have a daughter together which could be a life time.

  • @hildergarn I though that it was just me,lol

  • I love James' voice! It's so cute and he sounds like a baby. :) El on the other hand... WOW! loved the beginning when he bursted out that first line! That man know he is so fine!!! :D This song is HOT! So loving it!

  • I love El's "wooooooo" in the middle! :)

  • Is this on youtube with a video? Or is this one it?

  • I pumped the entire album my senior year in high school - every song... hot! This family was so underrated - M. J. was just too much to overcome.

  • It seemed like they sampled the Jacksons song. That's my only explanation I can think of.

  • You can tell that they were produced by Berry Gordy. Just like the Jacksons,u can hear the similarities in the rythmn and music.Sounds somewhat like, (Shake Your Body down to the Ground)...

  • Wow. That's all I can say. This is better than everything on the radio.

  • "i wantcha to to be my lady" catchy rythmn !

  • love this song!!!!!!

  • I wonder if it was ever awkward for Bunny to sing any of these songs with her brothers, since the group was majority of boys, a lot of their songs was in a way pin-ponted to girls. Just a thought.

  • @Aariyan096 i feel the same way lol i hope none of those lyrics were pointed towards her (song wise) lol i don't think they liked eachother like that or nothin but im jus sayin it would be akward for them

  • @jbjsmj I never knew someone replied, lol, I'm sure they didn't. It was a funny thought of mine.

  • @Aariyan096 Sorry about that. I approve comments (to cut down on spam and porn links) and when more than one person responds at the same time, YouTube only informs me one response. Then weeks (or months later) I find a pending comment :( I wish they'd fix that.

  • @38106chick Oh, I see now. Thanx.

  • in a special way is a amazing album.

  • who starts off the song? is that El woaah damn he so good.

  • @lovelyCaramelful mmhmm you got that right! yes he is! :D

  • Debarge did knew how to make the people dance.....MORE FANTASTIC ´80´s music at my channel!!!!

  • Are you kidding? This music is about as close to "soul" as Pearl Jam.

  • My sister BF turn me on this album the moment I heard the first track which is this sound I immediately went to Music Plus (remember that record chain store) and purchase the album. As a matter a fact I still have the album.

  • @not2shy2say If you don't see your comment immediately, there's no need to post multiple times. I have it set up this way because I review all of posts to weed out spam. Thanks.

  • I'll tell you! Debarge and their producers sure didn't hide the fact that this beat is "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground"...lol

  • lol..yea thats wat i was thinkin too

  • Not really BUT it does sound very similar to it but not exactly which admittely you do hear some relation to that song

  • @mrsklmiller you are so right!!!! listen to chico debarge's talk to me and janet jackson's what have you done for me lately and listen to the surprisingly equal sound!!! terrible, but good music!!!!!

  • aaamazing songg

  • DEBARGE

  • @ JAZMiN3D3BARG3 i know right! cuz i wuz like i definately know dat wuz james in da beginnin, but dat sounded just like el in da end! so glad u understood dat! Bout time! lol! Dont dey all sound different do?!!! Cuz james voice is real strong, (he can sing falsetto too but its different...). Randy's is kinda high. El's is realll high, bobby's is real, real high, and Chico's is a sexy alto/supreno. I dont really know how tommy sound. =-)

    Holla!

  • The 50's to the 90's were at their best in RB music. Good music is gone nowadays maybe except for Alicia Keys, Jazmine Sullivan, Trey Songz, and maybe Neyo. Even Usher somehow lost it.

  • So is James the one that sung lead for Switch or was that Bobby?

  • @JHOLMES113 Bobby was the one who sang lead for switch

  • I went to the debarge concert in 1984 James sang the lead vocals.

  • James, El and their brother Bobby sound so much alike!

  • james was wa nice singer too..people dont know cuz they voices sound alike..they thnk its all el

  • i think michael jackson used that beat also. i dont know the tell but it went"lets dance lets shout move your body onto the ground"

  • he made that in 1978

    this is 1983

  • The song was done by "The Jacksons" 1978 off the Destiny Album......the song "Shake Your Body Down To The Ground..I don't think MJ needed to use anybodys beat for his songs>>>

  • Hey everybody, when you see a "Comment Pending" next to your comment, there's no need to post multiple times. I have it set up this way because I review all of posts to weed out spam. Thanks.

  • @JAZMiN3D3BARG3 ... You are exactly right. I'm glad someone else here has a good ear like me.

  • @JAZMiN3D3BARG3 ok good for u,claps! some of us are really young and wasnt around back then.like me,im still learning their voices,im not even in my twenties.
