Obama used it in the health care bill. It was used in the health care law. What is Obamas doing to R country. Dhimmitude, Never heard the word Till now. Google it, It's on page 107 of the healthcare bill. It is a REAL word. Dhimmitude Dhimmitude: the Muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations conquered through jihad. It is the TAXING of non-muslims in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of converting conquered remnants to Islam.
The bill forces you to get health, forces you....How is this freedom ??? It will be affordable...Has anything that the government got involved in, cheap and affordable ???? You people will see in time how fucked up it will..But then maybe not, you dip shits voted him in...
Barak's Health Care Legislation... Will you back his administration's?? Visit my utube channel and Discover exactly why Y0UR thoughts means something !!!
I wounder how many American citizens were aware of the evil and deceit behind the new healthcare bill. This new bill made RFID microchip implantation law through the healthcare system. In 6 months time, All/any American citizens will be required to have an RFID microchip surgically implanted within thier bodies in order to use the healthcare system. Amazing!! I beleive we all need to come close to Jesus Christ and build a relationship with him, our saviour, and look to him for redemption.
you morons out there that think this heathcare deal is a good thing for america are FUCKING IDIOTS!! obama is merely trying to turn this country to a socialistic nation. hes gonna bankrupt medicare, put small business OUT of business. and not to mention all the "SMALL PRINT" in this bill includes hiring 12,000 more IRS agents (probably needed to help count all the extra tax money that the gov is gonna wring out of americans) YOU PEOPLE WHO VOTED FOR THIS SCOUNDREL ARE A BUNCH OF DUMBASSES!!
My guess is that you can afford healthcare. If you could consider, thinking outside your little bubble, I hope that you can understand that 46 million americans, your countrymen, can't afford healthcare, and that my friend is nothing to be proud of. I'm from Sweden, and i'm not fund of my society in many ways. We hhave the highest taxes in the world. please reconsider your radical statement. There are people that prefere, not dying.
My daughter is suffering from 101 degree fever, you are telling me youre on a break!!!
To all parents, look into the eyes of your little girls and boys. Are you ready for socialized healthcare? 3-5 hours waiting time, toilet seats stain with feces, people coughing around your kids. Get the picture?
Welcome to assembly line medical services. Now serving patient #484888
Mommy, I am hungry. I want to go home. (3+ hours waiting , too much to endure for a sick child. Sincerely, Line Staff)
i can see the headlines around the WORLD: IMPEACH OBAMA: HE WANTS HEALTH CARE FOR ALL OF AMERICA'S CITIZENS. laughing at US. the MAN is not trying to start a war with the RUSSIANS. not buying his wife a new fur coat with our money. not trying to start another CIVIL WAR. he is attempting to make HC affordable/available for EVERYONE. and for THIS you want his head chopped off?
Pelosi stated we need to pass the health care bill to see what's in it. The very heart of the Republic is now in jeopardy. A singular, specific, proposed bill has very specific requirements for compliance/passage with the recording of members votes in both houses. No policies have ever been enacted without the passage of specific statutes. This is the greatest Constitutional crisis in our nations history, no laws, just tyrannical rule.
Ok, so how do you want to fix the health care industry? Give us your thoughts on how to fix it, and stop spewing questionable talking points and say what you think will fix it. People here just keep on repeating things they hear from Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh and the rest of the talking heads on fox news but no one ever really says anything of substance. Think for yourselves please. I guess I'm the idiot for thinking I can find a substantive conversation going on youtube.
Ok... Please tell me what you think they should be doing with regards to fixing health care. How do they stop 14k people from losing insurance everyday? How do they stop insurance companies from raising their rates 40% in 1 day? How do they prevent 45k people from dieing annually because of the lack of health insurance? How do they stop insurance companies from discriminating against preexisting conditions in patients? Please explain to us how you would fix these.
I agree with you and im no liberal, people like Eradicate liberalism don't get it, won't get it and can't get it. if Bin Laden was caught under Obamas watch some conservatives would still complain. So why now are they against big spending Bush didn't veto any republican bills rammed through and the recession started under the last administration. The reason your getting only Obama blaming is because they have no answer for what they started. They need to start smelling the poop they shovel.
The unconstitutional implementation of this process is effectively imposing Marshall Law. We are looking at collusion between separate branches of government to conspire to circumvent the law. This is lawlessness of the highest order! Patriots be prepared!
How can you criticize what Obama has done when you can't offer an alternative?
This just tells me that you just want to criticize Obama for the sake of criticizing him. Not because you have a better plan but just because you don't like him.
I'll ask you again. What do you think Obama should have done to pull us out of the recession?
@rasgua2000 you are trying to be RATIONAL with IRRATIONAL people. THEY will NEVER get it or admit the TRUTH: the ONLY reason they don't want the HC bill passed is because THEY dont want to give credit to an UPPITY, ARROGANT, INTELLIGENT, GOODLOOKING 'NIGGER' PRESIDENT. not just REPS. some DEMO-RATS do not want the HIStory books to read that he got it RIGHT, when so many have FAILED. that's the BOTTOM LINE.
Varmittyawza, what do you want Obama to do? Or is the only thing you and your conservative compadres capable of is complaining? I haven't seen a single republican that is opposed to the current reform ideas coming up with a proposal of their own.
I can't say that I agree with everything Obama stands for. I don't agree with his stance on abortion or welfare for illegal immigrants, though I must admit I don't know too much about those issues, but when it comes to his economic and foreign policy, I don't know of anyone else, republican or democrat that could have done a better job. With regards to health care, I think he has not taken enough of a leadership role in the debate, I do think that the bill he posted online is not bad at all.
ohdumba 155 present votes in 6 months as senator...voted yes to reducing jail time for drug dealers.supported drivers licenses and welfare benefits for illegals.voted yes to partial birth abortions.supports reading rights to terrorists.soaked taxpayers 800 billion on a jobs bill in 09=results 4 million jobs lost in 09.ohdumba=0.end of story.
varmittyawza: We were debating the Afghan campaign promise of then Senator Obama. I'll take your last response as "WRONG AGAIN."
varmittyawza: You stated, "800 billion on a jobs bill in 09=results 4 million jobs lost in 09."
AGAIN.....110 members of your own party are out there touting job growth and economic growth from the Stimulus. thinkprogress(dot)org/2010/02/17/stimulus-hypocrisy-101
@usam1981 you make no sense whatsoever. How can you consider sending 30k soldiers and committing us more deeply into the Afghan war a political move? If there is anything he did that you can call a political move, it would be his vote against sending troops. You think he is going to suddenly pull out all the troops he sent there and be like "Gotcha! That wasn't my plan all along! Psych!!!"? Thats like calling a swing for the bleachers a bunt.
I don't think we should hold it against anyone for wanting to know where the exit is before getting in going into anything. Don't you think that is just prudent?
The media doesn't get ratings by tauting anyones achievements. That is why we never hear about the good side of anything. That is just the nature of the media cycle. Look things up for yourself.
i have a few very basic questions for all the ohDUMBa groupies that voted in this trainwreck.what has ohDUMBa done EVER to advance our nation?please list like his top2 acomplishments besides winning elections.what are they?and i do realize that its totally bush's fault that ohDUMBa is inept/useless and unqualified,so dont go there.i have studied his empty career and all i found was that he produces WORDS.he loves to CHAT.he enjoyes SPEECHES.anything else?
1.) Eliminating wasteful spending. In fact, the Washington Times reported on January 14 that Obama won "60 % of his proposed cuts" and also managed "to get Congress to ax several programs that had bedeviled Bush for years."
2.) The Stimulus will ultimately create 2.5 MILLION JOBS. Even the conservative American Enterprise Institute found that the stimulus had boosted the U.S. economy by 4%.
deepelem90 thank you for letting me know what ohDUMBa will do=at some point.i rest my case.and again i know he produces WORDS i just cant find anything more than speeches n chats with doofis ohDUMBa.nice try with the chris mathews bullshit on the GOP.the reason that is stupid is that ohDUMBa was the CHANGE guy, remember?so if he is no different than bush and the GOP than hes another nothing=right?he was to be HOPE right?well amigo hes been=HYPE.end of story.
@Lewfrost. Obama has pushed a 12% positive swing in our economy. He has repaired our damaged global reputation, his approach towards Iraq has push to a more politically unified nation, and right now the US is enjoying the most success it has ever had in Afghanistan. All these things were headed in the opposite direction when Bush left. Our economy was at -6% growth, Iraq was militarily stable but politically unstable, and Afghanistan was mired down with now positive movement.
You can accuse Obama of a lot of things but being dumb is not one of them. The top brass of our military has said that Obama is one of the most thought full and deliberate presidents that has ever worked with them.
LEWFROST2: If you are afraid of the factual answer then don't ask the question.
3.) According to the CBO, federal taxes will amount to just 15.5 percent of GDP this year. Thats 2.2 percent of GDP less than last year, 3.3 percent less than in 2007, and 1.8 percent less than the lowest percentage recorded during the Reagan years.
If you Righties believed your own rhetoric, you would be congratulating Obama for being one of the greatest tax cutters in history.
DEEPelem+RASQua2000 thank you bringing true light to ohDUMBa and his pittifull record.i am a simple man and i see 2009 as=4 million jobs lost, unemployment went from 8% to 10% and the value of the dollar dropping 20%.if that is a HEALTHY ECONOMY than by all means give praise and in 2012 vote for ohDUMBa.on afghanistan=it took ohdumba 4 months and 10 staff meetings to finally agree with 5 star general mcrystal that he picked to serve him to send 30,000 more troops.ohdumba=0.
varmittyawza: If your going to trash Obama's 12% economic turnaround it would behoove you to make sure your party isn't out there boasting about the job creation and economic growth the Stimulus provides for their districts.
varmittyawza: You stated, "it took ohdumba 4 months and 10 staff meetings to finally agree with 5 star general mcrystal that he picked to serve him to send 30,000 more troops."
YES. It is called strategy.
Moreover, the Government Accountability Office concluded that the Bush administration had no strategy to deal with the al-Qaeda and Taliban safe-haven along the Afghan border.
Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, stated that Obama has put forth the first real Afghanistan strategy in decades.
ne last thing elem my man.the country disagrees with you.11-2 is soon upon us.you shall witness why VA,NJ+MA went GOP and why retirements are happening in record fashion.ohdumba has destroyed his party.1 short yr and the party is very much over.
As I understood it, Obamas defense of his Objection to the surge was that there was no comprehensive exit plan. There was no plan on how to politically stabilize the Iraqi government when the surge was enacted. Basically we sent more troops but didn't have plan on how to establish a stable Iraqi government, which meant that we would be stuck in Iraq indefinitely. With regards to Iraq, that was the biggest policy change he enacted upon assuming the presidency.
well thank god ohdumba is a true MILITARY GIANT.our president mr.ohdumba was against THE SURGE and voted NO to funding our troops.never in history has a president THOUGHT about providing troops in a time war it was simply done as my money is n 5 star general mcrystal and his expertise not ohdumba a military joke.but lets go with your argument deepelem babe.4 months/10 meetings to AGREE with the general you picked.and it took biden and hillary to help too.thank god mcrystal has these 3 GIANTS.
varmittyawza: You stated, "Obama was against THE SURGE and voted NO to funding our troops."
WRONG AGAIN: President Barack Obama issued an order Feb. 17, 2009, to send two additional brigades to Afghanistan.
"This increase is necessary to stabilize a deteriorating situation in Afghanistan, which has not received the strategic attention, direction and resources it urgently requires," Obama said.
[politifact(dot)com Wednesday, January 20th, 2010]
varmittyawza: Not only did Obama campaign on increased presence in Afghanistan:
Obama Voted for and McCain Voted Against HR2863.
- In 2005, Obama voted for and McCain voted against providing $360.8 million for armored tactical wheeled vehicles for units deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan. [HR 2863, Vote 248, 10/5/05, Passed 56-43: R 13-42 D 42-1 I 1-0]
Ah, Obama voted NO against sending more people to Iraq and afganistan BEFORE he became president, one of the handfull of things he voted other than present on in his entire time as senator, and only allowed it when he became president as a political move.
By the way. The only people affected by that fine are those who can afford to pay for insurance but refuse to get it. Basically these are the people who use the ER as their primary health care provider. If you really can't afford to pay for insurance then you will qualify for Medicaid and you wouldn't be fined for anything.
Bottom line if all these people who are apposed to health care don't want it damn it don't take it. Obama should have scrapped the bill and asked both sides is 6 to 8 weeks good enough time to come up with a plan and in that time we'll come back together and iron this thing out. I don't want to here all this big government shit because all these assholes that are whining now kept a tight lip when the last administration was raping the country. Cancel your coverage if it's no big deal.
In the bill, it says you don't get a CHOICE, we have read it. If you don't get the healthcare before the next tax period, you will get FINED, and given the governments choice of health care.
What you fail to realize is that by allowing people to go uninsured, we are paying a higher amount than that what those fines incur.
The ER does not turn you away when you need emergency service even if you don't have insurance. This is basically an unpaid for entitlement. The cost of a medical staple is $10 but in a hospital it can cost up to $1000. That is because hospitals have to cover the expenses they spend on people who don't have insurance.
Your right, now that you brought that to light I do remember hearing something about that from the president himself sometime back. I stand corrected.
Seems to me that the only way to prevent insurance agencies from going bankrupt when solving the problem of preexisting conditions is to mandate health care. If you don't mandate health care to everyone then costs for insurers would sky rocket. People will only then sign up for insurance when they need it then opt out after they are cured. This is why reps cant address the issue of preexisting conditions in the Boehner bill. This is also why reform can't be done incrementally.
Its absolutely amazing to me. The debate is to have the Government seize control of our healthcare or keep it private....why is it a question. The Federal government has NO right what so ever to do this, and it isn't an option (with out a constitutional amendment.) The best way to deal with this is to remember that it isn't an option in the first place. We all live in the U.S., and live under agreed upon rules, either accept them or have them changed...don't circumvent.
detest4321: You stated, "The debate is to have the Government seize control of our healthcare or keep it private.
60% Of our current system is already paid for by the taxpayer. JUST like the Military, FIre Department, Police Department, NASA, Medicare, Medicaid, V.A., Justice, ETC....
Given you love some socialism why don't you distinguish what socialism you suckle from and what socialism you hate?
Perfect example for everyone. A real statement was made about the constitutionality of the situation and a non sense argument was replied. Your argument is that the system has been so corrupted by misguided diplomats already that what will one more program hurt? Seriously? Putting fire and police into that mix is a ploy, those are state/city/county and military is constitutional. The form of socialism I hate is in every form.
detest44321: You stated, "Your argument is that the system has been so corrupted by misguided diplomats already that what will one more program hurt?"
WRONG
Since you are talking about the unconstitutionality of health care reform why don't you answer my question.....and distinguish between the constitutionality of police, fire, Medicare, Medicaid & NASA.
Police and fire are part of the protection of the people part of the job of government listed in the constitution, medicare, medicade and Nasa are not.
you guys just don't get it insurance is nuts hospital costs are thru the roof everybody is loosing insurance or getting their coverage lowered and you guys are blaming Obama tell everyone how to fix this instead of pointing so called failures
The republicans have given tons of ideas. Problem is, the Democrats only want their bill, and they have ignored every bill or amendment the republicans have offered, that is not being Bipartisan if you ask me.
That is actually not true. A lot of their ideas are modified republican ideas. Through out the whole summit only one republican had anything to offer in terms of ideas to add to the bill. The rest of them just said scrap it and do it over.
I never really had a bad opinion of Boehner before yesterday. I thought he was like most other people who had philisophies that were just contradictory to the Dems but after yesterday I realized that he is a power hungry insincere ideologue.
I'm not advocating this (and no one else is either)but if you did pay for all the current hospital visits for all the uninsured in America it would cost 60 billion or a 0.34% in income taxes. If you make 60,000/year you'd pay an extra $50/year. I don't think that is the issue. It's the rest of the 2.2 trillion that people are fighting over.
We pay for uninsured now(premiums and taxes), they just get very little for it and we pay way more than we should. A third of the uninsured pay out of pocket even though they get charged 3 times as much by hospitals. The health care industry is bankrupting the country and some people just want to play political patty-cake.
We need health care reform NOW , not sometime in 2013 or 14.
If that can't be done, then we need Medicare Expansion Immediately.
Citizens 55 and older should be given the opportunity to buy into Medicare. As originally proposed by Senator Lieberman, before the insurance companies bought him off and he changed his mind.
The Key Phrase Here Is Buy-In. The proposal, would give seniors 55 - 64 the opportunity to BUY Medicare. Paying a monthly premium out of their own pocket.
Since this age group, typically has pre-existing conditions, companies refuse to sell them insurance. This would give them the opportunity to "BUY" it from the government.
This self funding proposal originally had serious bipartisan support - until the health care companies, fearing competition, started to campaign against it.
Our country is broke because of over spending, free hand outs, special interest, shipping jobs overseas, not drilling for our own oil and natural gas.
We are headed for a Depression my friend, just like Greece.

i have a very basic/simple question.what has ohDUMBa ever done in his entire empty career that advanced our country EVER?can you ohDUMBa groupies and fans name a major bill, major law or SOMETHING he has done for anybody?i totally get that he produces WORDS,SPEECHES,DEBATES AND MORE WORDS.but any actual progress by him is like=0 RIGHT???
@varmittyawza the patriots act, the war in afghanistan, the war in Iraq, lower taxes for the rich, wall street bail out... these are all of Obama's achievments!... oh wait...
oh yea let me see bush sent us into bankruptcy after the country was doing good when cliton was in office the gas went up dollar went down we went to war and pissed off alot of our allies due to republics want to fight everyone alot of my military friends are dead. Hmm the republics did us any good the rich got richer and the cost of living went up what world some of you been living in the past couple of years!!!
the US debt under obama has climbed to unimaginable heights.
obama has spent more money then all previous administrations from 1789 till now - combined! the national debt is greater then any other debt by any nation in human history!
First of all Obamas big spending includes part of the Bush 700 billion bailouts. Lets not forget when Obama took office the country was already messed up. Bush signed tarp, the bailouts and did nothing while Merrill Lynch, AIG, Fanny and Freddie were up to no good and you wanna talk about unemployment, when Obama took office over a 100,000 people were unemployed, Jan 2010 only 10,000 jobs lost. Bush no veto of any bill by congress and lets not forget two wars. Yeah! it's all on Obama.
Bush spent 350 billion of Tarp, Obama spent the remaining 350 on idiotic things like GM and Chrysler. Nearly all of the Tarp funds have been paid back WITH INTEREST other than GM and a few others. Bush's unemployment RATE was for most of his presidency around 5%. Bush actually tried to reform Fanny and Freddy many times but fell on deaf ears, Bill Clinton set the bomb at the end of his presidency, and it blew up at the end of Bush's. Get your facts straight.
@EradicateLiberalism You ought get your facts straight, first, instead of pulling em out of your ass. Auto-maker bailouts were $25B, not $350B as you implied. Bush left office with 7.5% unemployment which climbed to 9% by June 09, long before any of Obama's policies took effect, and topped out at 10.0% a few months later. It's called inertia.
Unemployment right now is similar to the early Reagan administration. He wasn't to blame for it then, and neither is Obama now. Give him some time.
Look, the $350B is pretty much history, I just said that bailing out GM and Chrysler is ridiculous and not what it was intended for. If Obama is such a budget hawk then why doesn't he return the remainder of it? No matter how bad the economy gets liberals still believe in spending their way out of a recession, and all that has happened is it has been prolonged just like FDR. Obama may not be the blame of the recession but he has definitely made it much longer and worse.
Also there is no such thing as inertia when it comes to unemployment, its about economic uncertainty and people not sure what Obama is going to impose on them next.
@EradicateLiberalism first of all people throw out this notion Obama spent more than any other president in history, well that's not true. Bush was the first person to outspend all previous presidents then Obama and as I stated part of his big price tag includes the first bailout. Clinton left Bush a 128 billion surplus and unemployment was 4.0%. Under Bush 4.5% and remained steady. Then the housing crises and all the other bank problems was the beginning of this economy crises. Facts checked.
Look, Clinton left a surplus and that was fine and dandy, alot due to Gingrich and the republican congress, but big whoop, 4.5% unemployment? Thats a half a percent. And a actually Bush spent a litlle LESS than all of the previous presidents in the last 30 years as a percentage of the GDP, as opposed to Obama who has spent OVER 3 TIMES Bush's WORST year, so your statement is actually wrong. He could've still spent less, but largely due to a 9/11 attack, hurricane Katrina, dot com bubble + 2 wars
@ Eradicate: You stated, "Bush spent a litlle LESS than all of the previous presidents in the last 30 years as a percentage of the GDP."
WRONG: There have been 6 times since WW II where the National Debt as a percent of GDP operated in the RED. Nixon/Ford 1973-1977; Reagan both terms; Bush Senior; Bush Junior both terms. ALL REPUBLICANS!!!!
wikipedia(dot)org/wiki
Zfacts(dot)com/p/318
What you mean to post is Reagan and Bush senior spent more as a percent of GDP.
If you are basing your facts on wickedpedia where anyone can manipulate the info, then there's no point in continuing the conversation. The point is liberals complain about Bush's spending over the last eight years, when it has actually been less than the average president as a percentage of GDP. Yes the spending during the Bush administration increased the Nat. Debt from 3.3 to 6.3 Trilion, but Obama will have increased it by $3.3 Tril. in his first 20 months!
@ Eradicate: You stated, "the Bush administration increased the Nat. Debt from 3.3 to 6.3 Trilion.
NOPE: When Bush took office, the national debt was $5.73 trillion. When he left, it was $10.7 trillion. That's a difference of $4.97 trillion. [treasurydirect(dot)gov]
Moreover, $1.8 trillion of the current deficit was determined by Bushs policies, not Obamas.
[Bruce Bartlett, former domestic policy adviser to Reagan and Treasury Official under President Bush Senior]
What does "neocon" even mean? Being a conservative is still the same as it was 20-30 years ago, there's no "new" conservertism. Sounds like you've been listening to Keith Olberdork a little too much. By the way, Iraq has been a success, which I'm sure Obama will try to take credit for
EradicateLiberalism, so nice you think Clinton leaving a surplus is just big whoop to you but that's the type of response you'll get from a Hannity minded person such as yourself. Try to follow the bouncing ball, first Gingrich had nothing to do with the surplus he was the house speaker not the treasurer also why shouldn't Obama take credit for Iraq since Bush said the future of Iraq is in the hands of the next president and if the bail outs are a failure it started with Bush.
We need a third party. Obama is horrible. His bail outs went straight to the same people who bought and payed for his election.
The housing bubble was created by dusting off the old community reinvestment act of the 70's, and further made worse wile Slobbering Barney Frank was sleeping with Fanny and Freddy.
95% of these politicians are bad. They pit Americans against each other in class, and racial warfare so they get more power, and money. Remember it was once the democratic-republican party.
first of all the country was handed to him fucked up from ur republic party via bush so for you to sit there and think its gonna get better over night is stupid on your part concidering it wasnt fucked up over night
If I remember right We lost so many jobs under Bush because of free trade agreements passed by clinton. The housing market went to shit because of democrat policy saying everyone gets a lone even if you cant pay it. I hate Bush but the blame lies with the Democrats. We are paying higher taxes now while we are clawing to feed are familys, even paying taxes on food. Gas is increasing again. What has changed besides we are more in debt and deeper in war and worse off? Obama=marxism=fail
actually, the employment under bush was considered "full."
we lost jobs after the housing bubble burst. unemployment under obama has climbed to 10%, and the most current job numbers show that we have a surge in lost jobs. in some states unemployment is well over 10%.
Give blame were blame is due. Bush gave massive tax breaks to go over seas with your company. Unemployment started its rise under him. Conservative, I think not, biggest spending president in history not including deffense budget. Don't get me wrong I'm no fan of democrats at all. Obama will go down as the biggest spender in history spending as much as Bush did in 8 years in 4. I think if the leaders of my country regardless of party get it wrong, we should call them on it.
obama is spending money on the american people. by investing money in the country it will lead to growth and more revenue. same thing as what happend when fdr came in during the great depression. the republican aproach was to just leave it be but the democratic aproach was to do somethign about it. its not bad to take action even if its not alwais popular.
Do you realise that FDR made things worse during the depression. If he was so popular, why do you think that the american people passed a law to make sure no president could do more than two terms after he left. Obama has made nothing better. How many jobs has he created or saved when the job rate is still going down, Hmm. He can't continue to spend like a alchaholic with money.
I'm scared that you believe that. Obama is not spending money on the American people, hes spending the American peoples money. What investments did he make? Do you know? GM, Chrysler, pretty much handing money to the banks the failed stimulus? Quote ''if we pass this stimulus unemployment will not go over 8%''. This is not action. The Rebublican aproach is tax cuts across the board, that leads to growth. Nothing Obama has done has amounted to any real growth, just more taxes.
In my opinion, across the board tax cuts are not ideal. In a recession, people tighten their belts. If you give people more of their money back, the tendency is not to spend it but to save it. Tax cuts for small businesses how ever will probably work differently because this group operates below its profit margins in bad times. A tax cut will lower their net profit margin thus allowing them to spend the same amount of money even with less business. This tax cut is part of the stimulus.
In your opinion wich history would speak to the contrary. When people have less money is when they tighten belts. I can't uderstand for the life of me why people think goverment spends our money better than us. It's no secret how much they loose and waste. Tax cuts for small business is good but only part of the problem. About the tax cuts in the stimulus, so small it was unoticed, just put in so they can say they did it. Look at the state of your country and then say any of this worked.
@monokesan When in a recession it is just normal that consumer confidence is down. If I have an extra $300 as part of a tax cut, I am not going to go out and buy a better model TV if I already have one that is working. I will try to save that money simply because work hours are low and I will need to save every penny I can just in case work hours get even lower, or worse, I lose my job. I would like to hear your explanation as to how this is not what history shows us.
I need not look farther back than Bush. Bush stimulus showed more growth than Obamas, the problem is it should have been larger. Obama with triple the stimulus only showed growth in the goverment sector. (one of few Bush acomplishments). See you are thinking that everyone is money savey and would save this money and some will but most will put it back into the market. Why do you so readily hand your money over to the people who caused the problem. The peoples money is best spent by the people.
There has been a 12% swing in economic growth under Obama. From -6% when he entered office to +6% currently. A 12% positive change in economic growth is not something that happens by accident. When Clinton left office there was a +5% growth in the economy. By the time Bush left there was -6% growth in the economy. If you do the math, taking in to account that Obama has only been in office for less than 2 years, his policies are, percentage wise, exponentially better than Bush's.
You wanna hear something that is fair and balanced, both stimulus programs by both presidents have failed to some degree. The Republican tax approach was geared to helping the rich and they were in control when this storm was coming so what growth did they produce. Understand it takes longer to clean up a mess than to make one. Obamas plan was full of shit and side deals just like Bush but what are we gona do give this same situation to the party that got us here. They both lie, cheat and steal.
I agree they both do lie, cheat, and steal. You can only pick the better of two devils. Tricle down economics and free market have made America great, the wellfare state has broken it, you choose.
This is how this crap started last year. Now, one year later, they're having ANOTHER health care summit on Feb. 25th. The Obama admin just goes in circles. A month ago they said "okay, we get the message, Americans are worried about jobs" right after Scott Brown was elected. After talking about jobs for a few weeks, here we are right back on this idiotic health care foul up!
Here we go again. What happened to starting from scratch? They are trying to ram the same thing down our throats created with bribes and special interest deals.
it about time to do a free health care in states.. it sick how people act towards the poor population it makes you feel better when there people aroud that are poor and cant afford shit and u all feel like: ye u bum go get a job im rich im the shit.. adn so on. its sad that your whole country was build on jelausy hate crime envy. makes u fell good when u drive by a bum in your bmw doesnt it? makes your day.. thats what democracy is all about the PRIDE.. its fuckin shame
No surprise that California, one of the richest but most liberal state, especially in fiscal term, is on the edge of bankruptcy. Now Californian socialist model with its highest tax rate, strictest enviromental protection rules, and very generous welfare and healthcare systems is copied by Obama administration with its ambitious, costly health care reform of one trillion dollars for everybody including 12 milliions illegal immigrants who would be naturalized under Obama immigration reform.
"And also, the people who are enrolled in our Medicare plan like it better. The satisfaction ratings are higher in our Medicare program, a government-run program, than in private insurance. But they don't want you to remember that or to know that, and they want to scare you into thinking that through the anecdotes they tell you, that any government-run system, particularly those in Canada, and UK, and France that the people are very unhappy."
"We obtained a copy of the game plan that was adopted by the industry's trade association, AHIP. And it spells out the industry strategies in gold letters. It says, "Highlight horror stories of government-run systems." " I knew that 47 million people were uninsured, but I didn't put faces with that number." - "The hottest places in hell are reserved for those who, in times of MORAL CRISIS, maintain a neutrality. " - Robert Kennedy pbs(dot)org/moyers/journal/07102009/watch2.html
no words 2 begin 2 explain liberal agenda. ZERO logic exist in "obama world" so the bulk of humanity is worried out of their minds. i love how every fool riding around town has recently removed bumper stickers from care and will now deny every voting for his ass. conservatives predicted he would go after this crap but nobody wanted 2 hear it. all we can do is rally and hope like hell this falls through.
It is kind of amazing some "people" think health costs are like buying a car or any other commercial proposition (eg: all the insurance co-sponsored posts on Youtube by varying "people"). You can plan to buy a car or a house: it's your own responsibility and your money allocation--but you can't plan a medical affliction. Not the same. I simply note one anti-health plan person on Ytube had her two fave videos as a) a revolver shooting into a tank, and b) a clip of Milton F'man on "Greed". True!!
Americans died fighting a civil war over the idea of a Union Of States. We aren't separate entities, we are in a cooperative. We are supposed to help each other. When a hurricane hits N.Orleans, we band together to help our fellow citizens. When we are attacked in NYC, we band together in the common good. When we have little to survive in our old age we have each other. Lets cooperate and create a good fund through cooperation to create a health care system that WE run. That is government.
People don't seem to realize that when the government doesn't have a lot of power, then some one else does. The power over YOU is still available. Would you rather have your health care run by an accept all non profit government system, or a greedy expensive for profit health care system. I am not saying the government should be all powerful, but they should at least be equal to big business when it comes to what we need. In the end you have more power over Gov than you do business.
Profit is a motivator, to excel in medical research and for Doctors and Nurses which is why a lot of foreign doctors come here, we have the Highest quality health care in the world.
If you want to fix it then think tort reform to cut down on frivolous lawsuits on Doctors, and allow citizens to go over the state border for health care plans to create competition.
For the government to do this it will have to raise a lot taxes, print money (inflation),or borrow and go more in debt,or rashion.
We don't have the best health care in the world. Ask any doctor, and they'll tell you health care is absolute shit now. Insurance companies have such a stranglehold on hospitals now that even the most basic and necessary treatments are denied.
If you want to know why doctors here are paid ridiculously more than in other countries, why your hospital bills are so high, why a single bag of saline solution costs hundreds, do your damn research. The bill here is the solution, not the problem.
I said one of the Highest quality, we have lower cancer death rates and other diseases then Canada and most of Europe, where there are Waiting lists for major surgeries, and procedures.
And they are not happy about their health care because their economies are not shit because of it and you have a panel who decides what happens to you. Government is NOT the answer it is the problem.
Joulesbeef, dead last? are you a fucking joke? what kind of idiotic statement is that? Americas problem is their diet not their medical care, yes there needs to be improvements but getting the government involved will screw up everything seeing as they only cost us MORE not less and are less effective then companies who will lose money if they do poorly.
The problem is Medicare. The government forces hospitals and doctors to take less 97cents on the dollar of true costs or medicare patients. Costs are shifted to the rest of us.
Im a third year resident in the ER. We do have by far the best health care system in the world hands down. Not sure who has filled your head with shit. USA physicians are paid on the high end because we are the best. European physicians go to school for four years and we do eight plus residency.
Why is med care so high? Worthless dead beats suing. We need tort reform. I was instructed from day one in the ER to order every test and scan imaginable in order to cover my ass from pieces of shit looking to sue. You need to do some research before making blind comments. Good day
Why did Canada's President come to the USA for a heart operation instead of having it done in his country?
I travel the entire world and I assure you that we have the best health care in the world. In the USA you get treated right away. In other countries it looks like a line of cattle waiting on a doctor.
I have friends that fly from England to be treated here in America.
Can we improve health care? Sure. Tort reform, punish fraud and buying insurance across state lines.
Because we have the best doctors in the world, but I don't see how that applies here.
The whole reform issue revolves around the finances of healthcare, not over who has the smartest/best doctors. Even if our doctors are all geniuses, they're useless if no one can afford to go to them.
If the goverment would get out of the way and allow tort reform and buying insurance across state lines, insurance cost would drop 15 percent tomorrow.
If we went to a Fair Tax or Flat Tax and made the USA a tax haven, people would come from all over the world to create business, and people would have jobs and could afford insurance.
Insurance is not a right in the constitution.
We have created a society of free loaders and people who don't take responsibility for their actions.
Go to school for 10 plus years of very hard study and make 10 bucks an hour then you will understand. Who will do it? Yhis billl has nothing to do with helping people its more about controlling your life. Its pure socialism and stands against everything are country was founded on. Nothing is free and in the end you will pay the price.
The only revolt is from the Insurance companies, and the right-wing stooges that take their money to do the fake protests with the bused-in scripted plants at the town hall meetings. Olb'n and Maddow, and all the liberal blogs have exposed these protesters as bused-in fake plants, yet Ingraham still pretends it's real outrage from real people.
Another Government run program that is going to cost way way more than the numbers they are giving out. God help our children that will be owing their pay to a foreign country.
Look at this News Headline: "Conservative Activist Gets In Fight At Town Hall, Now Asking For Medical Donations...He Doesn't Have Health Care"
This is the KIND of people we are dealing with here. Sore losers from Nov. 4th, manipulated by Corporate Mafia and G"No!"P into fighting ferociously against THEIR OWN interest just because they've got to be anti-Obama!
Perfect example. We have government running schools and the poor and middle class are stuck with shit schools. Obama doesn't send his kids to government run schools because he knows the government does a shit job running things.
We don't want health care to end up like government run schools
Right on Sick! hey man these right wing nuts r running around like chickens with their heads cut off arent they? they're only adding to the problem by scaring other Americans with that socialist takeover bologna.

Google it, It's on page 107 of the healthcare bill. It is a REAL word. Dhimmitude Dhimmitude: the Muslim system of controlling non-muslim populations conquered through jihad.

How do they stop insurance companies from raising their rates 40% in 1 day? How do they prevent 45k people from dieing annually because of the lack of health insurance? How do they stop insurance companies from discriminating against preexisting conditions in patients? Please explain to us how you would fix these.

The reason your getting only Obama blaming is because they have no answer for what they started. They need to start smelling the poop they shovel.

Cancel your coverage if it's no big deal.
ronpc 1 year ago
In the bill, it says you don't get a CHOICE, we have read it. If you don't get the healthcare before the next tax period, you will get FINED, and given the governments choice of health care.
usam1981 1 year ago
What you fail to realize is that by allowing people to go uninsured, we are paying a higher amount than that what those fines incur.
The ER does not turn you away when you need emergency service even if you don't have insurance. This is basically an unpaid for entitlement. The cost of a medical staple is $10 but in a hospital it can cost up to $1000. That is because hospitals have to cover the expenses they spend on people who don't have insurance.
rasgua2000 1 year ago
Your right, now that you brought that to light I do remember hearing something about that from the president himself sometime back. I stand corrected.
ronpc 1 year ago
Seems to me that the only way to prevent insurance agencies from going bankrupt when solving the problem of preexisting conditions is to mandate health care. If you don't mandate health care to everyone then costs for insurers would sky rocket. People will only then sign up for insurance when they need it then opt out after they are cured. This is why reps cant address the issue of preexisting conditions in the Boehner bill. This is also why reform can't be done incrementally.
rasgua2000 1 year ago
Its absolutely amazing to me. The debate is to have the Government seize control of our healthcare or keep it private....why is it a question. The Federal government has NO right what so ever to do this, and it isn't an option (with out a constitutional amendment.) The best way to deal with this is to remember that it isn't an option in the first place. We all live in the U.S., and live under agreed upon rules, either accept them or have them changed...don't circumvent.

MoeFoeChateau 1 year ago
We pay for uninsured now(premiums and taxes), they just get very little for it and we pay way more than we should. A third of the uninsured pay out of pocket even though they get charged 3 times as much by hospitals. The health care industry is bankrupting the country and some people just want to play political patty-cake.
MoeFoeChateau 1 year ago
We need health care reform NOW , not sometime in 2013 or 14.
If that can't be done, then we need Medicare Expansion Immediately.
Citizens 55 and older should be given the opportunity to buy into Medicare. As originally proposed by Senator Lieberman, before the insurance companies bought him off and he changed his mind.
EDDIEO101 1 year ago
...and how should we pay for that?
i'd like everyone to have free lollipops, but when you have spent all the money, where does it come from?
magdamagda999 1 year ago
The Key Phrase Here Is Buy-In. The proposal, would give seniors 55 - 64 the opportunity to BUY Medicare. Paying a monthly premium out of their own pocket.
Since this age group, typically has pre-existing conditions, companies refuse to sell them insurance. This would give them the opportunity to "BUY" it from the government.
This self funding proposal originally had serious bipartisan support - until the health care companies, fearing competition, started to campaign against it.

You shouldn't be surprised that people here don't know what the Lieberman plan was. It's not like this is the most well read group.

Where is the money coming from?
Our country is broke because of over spending, free hand outs, special interest, shipping jobs overseas, not drilling for our own oil and natural gas.
We are headed for a Depression my friend, just like Greece.
Wait and see.

Yeah! it's all on Obama.
ronpc 1 year ago
Bush spent 350 billion of Tarp, Obama spent the remaining 350 on idiotic things like GM and Chrysler. Nearly all of the Tarp funds have been paid back WITH INTEREST other than GM and a few others. Bush's unemployment RATE was for most of his presidency around 5%. Bush actually tried to reform Fanny and Freddy many times but fell on deaf ears, Bill Clinton set the bomb at the end of his presidency, and it blew up at the end of Bush's. Get your facts straight.
EradicateLiberalism 1 year ago
@EradicateLiberalism You ought get your facts straight, first, instead of pulling em out of your ass. Auto-maker bailouts were $25B, not $350B as you implied. Bush left office with 7.5% unemployment which climbed to 9% by June 09, long before any of Obama's policies took effect, and topped out at 10.0% a few months later. It's called inertia.
Unemployment right now is similar to the early Reagan administration. He wasn't to blame for it then, and neither is Obama now. Give him some time.
scharb 1 year ago
Look, the $350B is pretty much history, I just said that bailing out GM and Chrysler is ridiculous and not what it was intended for. If Obama is such a budget hawk then why doesn't he return the remainder of it? No matter how bad the economy gets liberals still believe in spending their way out of a recession, and all that has happened is it has been prolonged just like FDR. Obama may not be the blame of the recession but he has definitely made it much longer and worse.

Also there is no such thing as inertia when it comes to unemployment, its about economic uncertainty and people not sure what Obama is going to impose on them next.
EradicateLiberalism 1 year ago
@EradicateLiberalism first of all people throw out this notion Obama spent more than any other president in history, well that's not true. Bush was the first person to outspend all previous presidents then Obama and as I stated part of his big price tag includes the first bailout. Clinton left Bush a 128 billion surplus and unemployment was 4.0%. Under Bush 4.5% and remained steady. Then the housing crises and all the other bank problems was the beginning of this economy crises. Facts checked.
ronpc 1 year ago
Look, Clinton left a surplus and that was fine and dandy, alot due to Gingrich and the republican congress, but big whoop, 4.5% unemployment? Thats a half a percent. And a actually Bush spent a litlle LESS than all of the previous presidents in the last 30 years as a percentage of the GDP, as opposed to Obama who has spent OVER 3 TIMES Bush's WORST year, so your statement is actually wrong. He could've still spent less, but largely due to a 9/11 attack, hurricane Katrina, dot com bubble + 2 wars
EradicateLiberalism 1 year ago
DeepElem90 1 year ago
If you are basing your facts on wickedpedia where anyone can manipulate the info, then there's no point in continuing the conversation. The point is liberals complain about Bush's spending over the last eight years, when it has actually been less than the average president as a percentage of GDP. Yes the spending during the Bush administration increased the Nat. Debt from 3.3 to 6.3 Trilion, but Obama will have increased it by $3.3 Tril. in his first 20 months!
EradicateLiberalism 1 year ago
@ Eradicate: You stated, "the Bush administration increased the Nat. Debt from 3.3 to 6.3 Trilion.
NOPE: When Bush took office, the national debt was $5.73 trillion. When he left, it was $10.7 trillion. That's a difference of $4.97 trillion. [treasurydirect(dot)gov]
Moreover, $1.8 trillion of the current deficit was determined by Bushs policies, not Obamas.
[Bruce Bartlett, former domestic policy adviser to Reagan and Treasury Official under President Bush Senior]

@ Eradicate: You stated, "He could've still spent less, but largely due to a 9/11 attack, hurricane Katrina, dot com bubble + 2 wars."
WRONG AGAIN: Even backing out the two failed Neocon wars, Bush and the Republican Congress assisted the budget bloat.
Inflation-adjusted spending on the combined budgets of the 101 largest programs they vowed to eliminate in 1995 has grown by 33%.
[Cato Institute]
DeepElem90 1 year ago
What does "neocon" even mean? Being a conservative is still the same as it was 20-30 years ago, there's no "new" conservertism. Sounds like you've been listening to Keith Olberdork a little too much. By the way, Iraq has been a success, which I'm sure Obama will try to take credit for
EradicateLiberalism 1 year ago
EradicateLiberalism, so nice you think Clinton leaving a surplus is just big whoop to you but that's the type of response you'll get from a Hannity minded person such as yourself. Try to follow the bouncing ball, first Gingrich had nothing to do with the surplus he was the house speaker not the treasurer also why shouldn't Obama take credit for Iraq since Bush said the future of Iraq is in the hands of the next president and if the bail outs are a failure it started with Bush.
ronpc 1 year ago 4
We need a third party. Obama is horrible. His bail outs went straight to the same people who bought and payed for his election.
The housing bubble was created by dusting off the old community reinvestment act of the 70's, and further made worse wile Slobbering Barney Frank was sleeping with Fanny and Freddy.
95% of these politicians are bad. They pit Americans against each other in class, and racial warfare so they get more power, and money. Remember it was once the democratic-republican party.

actually, the employment under bush was considered "full."
we lost jobs after the housing bubble burst. unemployment under obama has climbed to 10%, and the most current job numbers show that we have a surge in lost jobs. in some states unemployment is well over 10%.
magdamagda999 1 year ago
Give blame were blame is due. Bush gave massive tax breaks to go over seas with your company. Unemployment started its rise under him. Conservative, I think not, biggest spending president in history not including deffense budget. Don't get me wrong I'm no fan of democrats at all. Obama will go down as the biggest spender in history spending as much as Bush did in 8 years in 4. I think if the leaders of my country regardless of party get it wrong, we should call them on it.

obama is spending money on the american people. by investing money in the country it will lead to growth and more revenue. same thing as what happend when fdr came in during the great depression. the republican aproach was to just leave it be but the democratic aproach was to do somethign about it. its not bad to take action even if its not alwais popular.
fortew3 1 year ago
Do you realise that FDR made things worse during the depression. If he was so popular, why do you think that the american people passed a law to make sure no president could do more than two terms after he left. Obama has made nothing better. How many jobs has he created or saved when the job rate is still going down, Hmm. He can't continue to spend like a alchaholic with money.
usam1981 1 year ago
I'm scared that you believe that. Obama is not spending money on the American people, hes spending the American peoples money. What investments did he make? Do you know? GM, Chrysler, pretty much handing money to the banks the failed stimulus? Quote ''if we pass this stimulus unemployment will not go over 8%''. This is not action. The Rebublican aproach is tax cuts across the board, that leads to growth. Nothing Obama has done has amounted to any real growth, just more taxes.
Monokesan 1 year ago
In my opinion, across the board tax cuts are not ideal. In a recession, people tighten their belts. If you give people more of their money back, the tendency is not to spend it but to save it. Tax cuts for small businesses how ever will probably work differently because this group operates below its profit margins in bad times. A tax cut will lower their net profit margin thus allowing them to spend the same amount of money even with less business. This tax cut is part of the stimulus.
rasgua2000 1 year ago
In your opinion wich history would speak to the contrary. When people have less money is when they tighten belts. I can't uderstand for the life of me why people think goverment spends our money better than us. It's no secret how much they loose and waste. Tax cuts for small business is good but only part of the problem. About the tax cuts in the stimulus, so small it was unoticed, just put in so they can say they did it. Look at the state of your country and then say any of this worked.
Monokesan 1 year ago
@monokesan When in a recession it is just normal that consumer confidence is down. If I have an extra $300 as part of a tax cut, I am not going to go out and buy a better model TV if I already have one that is working. I will try to save that money simply because work hours are low and I will need to save every penny I can just in case work hours get even lower, or worse, I lose my job. I would like to hear your explanation as to how this is not what history shows us.
rasgua2000 1 year ago

If you do the math, taking in to account that Obama has only been in office for less than 2 years, his policies are, percentage wise, exponentially better than Bush's.
rasgua2000 1 year ago
You wanna hear something that is fair and balanced, both stimulus programs by both presidents have failed to some degree. The Republican tax approach was geared to helping the rich and they were in control when this storm was coming so what growth did they produce. Understand it takes longer to clean up a mess than to make one. Obamas plan was full of shit and side deals just like Bush but what are we gona do give this same situation to the party that got us here. They both lie, cheat and steal.

I travel the entire world and I assure you that we have the best health care in the world. In the USA you get treated right away. In other countries it looks like a line of cattle waiting on a doctor.
I have friends that fly from England to be treated here in America.
Can we improve health care? Sure. Tort reform, punish fraud and buying insurance across state lines.
davidrobinsonmagic 1 year ago
Because we have the best doctors in the world, but I don't see how that applies here.
The whole reform issue revolves around the finances of healthcare, not over who has the smartest/best doctors. Even if our doctors are all geniuses, they're useless if no one can afford to go to them.
r31ncarnat3d 1 year ago
If the goverment would get out of the way and allow tort reform and buying insurance across state lines, insurance cost would drop 15 percent tomorrow.
If we went to a Fair Tax or Flat Tax and made the USA a tax haven, people would come from all over the world to create business, and people would have jobs and could afford insurance.
Insurance is not a right in the constitution.

God help our children that will be owing their pay to a foreign country.

if our children make it that far. we have to look out for us here and now, or else we'll never be capable to really help our own

Perfect example. We have government running schools and the poor and middle class are stuck with shit schools. Obama doesn't send his kids to government run schools because he knows the government does a shit job running things.
We don't want health care to end up like government run schools
