I think anyone who says Skins is still a typical teenage show mainly about mindless sex and drug taking after watching series 2 should be shot. Series 2 was so intense and so dark. I mean i loved how Tony changed from being peoples most hated to peoples most liked character. The ending really infuriated me but yeah the whole series brought me close to tears. I think they had to recast them because 3 series of the same brilliant cast is abit too much but yeah

why did it infuriate you ??? I thought episode 10 was brill =] The reason why they have a different cast is because they have 2 years of college and then the characters go to uni. In all the series of Skins to come (hopefully many !!) there will be 2 series with one cast and then a new cast for 2 series so on so forth.

I'm not really sure how I feel about series 2, to be honest.

I mean, I loved how darker it was (and this trailer is the best promo for a TV show I've ever seen), but it all felt a bit rushed. Storylines that could have been developed a lot further and deeper, such as Maxxie's stalker and Jal's pregnancy/dealing with Chris's death...

In terms of a new cast, I think in a way they had no choice. I'd feel a lot less confident about it if it wasn't for Effy, though. She's been brilliant.
