30 years ago the ceo earned 3-10x the wage of the average worker, now it is over 100x. 55% of Americans earn under 25k a year yet the amount of millionaires increaded 18% this year. It's so amazingly tangential: they're protesting Sotheby's, an auction house, by interfering with people eating dinner in a restaurant owned by someone who is on the Sotheby's board of directors. None of the people actually being disturbed has any apparent connection to the organization being protested -- there are just a bunch of people getting a drink after work, or having dinner, being pointlessly harassed. If you cause further trouble, they do have the right to fight back, in some cases with lethal force. Think about it. 30 years ago the ceo earned 3-10x the wage of the average worker, now it is over 100x. 55% of Americans earn under 25k a year yet the amount of millionaires increaded 18% this year. I believe in rewarding hard work but seriously we cant continue policy that keeps increasing the supply and lowering the demand for labour. Right now we have highly skilled and educated people fighting for jobs that wont lift them above the poverty line. Is this really ideal?
