Lol i remember the first time i killed one of these at lvl 50. Me and a druid named atomant i think was his name. WE had to kite it why everyone attacked it. Lol it took us like 5 hours to figure out they had to be kitied.

I was a cad ass game though. I played eq eqoa eq2 wow swg and a few other mmos and the only one better than eqoa was eq1.

WoW tends to try and tune there game to a wider audience, and make things alot easier to get more people to play. It is fun, but for hardcore players, it can be lame.

kinda miss it, on the server i was on, we was 4 players left then we took all mobs we cold find and kill then we had a little party and did newer return was boring at last (after all left) but it is an good game i miss maybe they make an remake of it with better grapic and stuff like that for ps3 or ps4 :P if they do i will be there from day one. i forgot the server i was on but i think the name was something with the name hammer (i forgot)

By the way, he's not running FROM them, as much as they have the tank run him around (in the begging you will see that he is rooted and the tank is taunting him)

Pally, SK, War, (assuming sk/war had ds/heal bp and blood/bellow path) Pretty much any healer, mage with GN..maybe BE but would need outside buffs, Alc, bard maybe if he has CoN and a good amount of food items on him. Actually, any class that has a substantial form of heal can pretty much solo him now. A dread would be a nice XP mob if it weren't for the super huge HP.

@305sFinestt If you played it when it first came out, maybe you would think differently. It was the best mmorpg of its time for consoles, and even better than PC mmorpgs in certain areas, though not all of course.

You'll never know because you were not there from the beginning to see it as your own first mmorpg, and to see everything in the game itself. Seeing one video or even all videos online will never be even close to enough to understand everything that was cool about EQOA.

This game is one of my Favorite MMORPGs period. Mainly because it was my first, and it brought me into these type of games. It was fun and I still think of quitting WoW and leaving my 2 70s just to go back and play this for awhile. There was sooooo much you could do on here I only seen half the game before I moved on to Final Fantasy 11.

@Northax Ya it was cool. But to be honest it did suck tell siliskor came out than it got good. Than came isle of dread and Aof. Lol before silikor it was weak. Vox and skahyra where the only raid mobs and everyone spent all there time trying to get full rubicon and epics that were weak
