  • Those platform trucks R a waste of money and time. Buy the time u set up and do your walk around the building is fully involved.

  • love the rig! My career dept has a central states POS that was built behind a grain silo i believe. Pierce FTW

  • Medford nj??

  • @joemagliari

Medford, NJ has a 75' quint. I think this is Medford. OR.

  • My dept. sets-up the outriggers, etc and raises the ladder out of the cradle and clear of the cab then the guys that will be in it walk on the ladder to the bucket with what ever tools needed(k12, chainsaw, axes, thermals, etc) and then we move the ladder elsewhere instead of spending time spinning it around and lowering it to the ground like in the vid. Something you guys might try...

  • my company does this

    1. check sides on the way to the back from the cab then check the other side

    2. (no plates unless grass) throw down the jacks

    3. put in the pins

    4. get the ladder up on overdrive because someone is waiting for that thing

  • @Freshknight7 we also have a seagrave

  • @Freshknight7 Man you really need to put the plates down on Asphalt as well. Asphalt can not hold the weight of that truck. Concrete is ok but not recommended...

  • @AlexNAFD ok cool thanks for the tip stay safe

  • @Freshknight7 No Prob. We have a parking lot with 4 square holes in it from the last time our guys forgot the plates. Stay safe :)

  • Im just trying to understand why the pins are placed inward facing the apparatus ? Being on a Truck myself always, pins outside. Also why wait until you have your outriggers out before throwing the ground pads ? All of my guys on my Truck have ability to place them right the first time before the outriggers come out.....

  • Great vid....

  • nice truck, how many feet? im 14 and a part of the junior firefighting program, we had a ladder drill and we got to climb it if we wanted, ours is 110ft, i got to the top....intense...

  • thank you very much for the informative video. I live in Medford and love your videos! Thank you for sharing Brent Dewey Medford

  • Nice job guys!
