The guys who start these big businesses that end up as such huge juggernauts, or invent great things and get very rich usually aren't. They had a brilliant idea but unfortunately usually little social savvy. I bet he eventually gets fucked by the law for a lot of money.
When my uncle married his first wife, their agreement was that they would both work but she would do her work under the table (she ran a salon out of their home.) This was for tax purposes. So on paper, he was the sole earner. When they divorced 20 years later and it was time to divvy up the marriage resources, it came back to bite him in a major way.
