  • Guys, the drum is a darbuka....a north African drum....places. like Egypt. Also Turkey and Greece in those areas. The one he is playing appears to be a Turkish style

  • This is sweet! I'm a lead guitarist as well as a darbuka player! I freaking love Jerry! One of my biggest idols! I try to mimic his playing in every way!

  • i mean the album version

  • can someone upload the garcia grisman version of this please

  • the version I'm thinking of is like nine + minutes... ????

  • @BWilliamsAA7237 around 16 min

  • w/ the stand up bass solo? or is this it?

  • where's the version from the shady grove album? or a studio one?

  • Djembe is West African in origin. It just doesn't sound the same when non-Africans play it.

  • @blewj shut up critter boy, your fucking ignorant

  • It's a talking drum, not a djembe.

    But thank you for playing.

  • The Drum is African Djembe..more North African style and played

  • anyone know what kind of drums he's using?

  • what instrument is that exactly?

  • mandolin

  • African drum? My sis plays somthing like that. IT sounds kinda the same...

  • I like this version!

  • I have been searching for this song for like 5 years....yes!

  • @konfederate6277144 You need to hear the full version... it blows my mind... on Garcia/Grisman... which is their self titled first release from 1991. That whole album is incredible, but Arabia is undeniable!

  • The bassist is James Kerwin
