I have the Dime o Flame, and a les with emg's and I perfer the sound of the dean. I love the Dean Dime o flame, has a faster rosewood fret board, and in my opinion has a cleaner, sound with the high output dime buckers

@simondcr Haha I don't think so - EMGs are great if you want lots of power and the same tone that every other guitar with EMGs has. If you want some great pickups then you should look at Bare Knuckles.

And the bad sound in this video is because I was using a 10 watt beginner's practice amp and only the microphone on my camera

@simondcr I love the emgs in my guitars for heavy riffing but for subtlety and a broader range of soft/ hard dynamics they aren't so good- too compressed. A good passive pickup would probably be better overall, but for the Zakk sound you do need emgs.

i think its good.its not your guitar dude its the amp.i use to use a s101.its sounded to groggy in my amp.then i used my b.c rich warlock and it sounded a little better.i went out and bought a 15 watt tube amp and it sounds bad ass on both guitars,great point of view.4 and a half stars.

yeah you can always tell its a novice player when they blame tone on a guitar. Learning how to dial in an amp is an art by itself. Once you get that itch for tone chasing you learn pretty quick that the amp is the main thing after all its what shapes your tone. Eq is everything. I have a Dean Dimeslime and sounds as good as my LP. I played a First Act that had the frets glued on not pressed in and still managed to get a good tone. Amp/speakers/Eq and a lil knowledge is a crucial part of any rig
