The reason everything is done through a corporation, is to grant limited/unlimited immunity from responsibility, as well as to cause contractual obligations that can be controlled through statutory jurisdiction, since without such jurisdiction the government would have no lawful control over the people. Government's proper job is to protect peoples property and rights. It is not supposed to control people, only corporations.

I have links to ONS ads from when they were recruiting. Most give 15 August as end of contract date, another gives 19 August. It may be that you were just unlucky to get caught in the 'mopping up'. Imo I don't think anyone who has had no contact at all, including correspondence should get a visit from now on. Hopefully all visits will stop.
