  • Great record!

  • thanks for posting.Steve Gibbons Band was on ATV Television 'OTT' & poss 'Saturday Stay Back' circa '82 which I missed..any Midlands folk still got it stashed in their loft?

    LFJ

  • I used to have this album, Down in the bunker, by Steve Gibbons!!!!....It GOT NICKED!-like most of my brilliant music collection-Hmphh!!!- & I really liked it too!!!I didnt think I'd find it on here-but Yay! Cheers lots for putting this up-

Playing it, bought some good memories back. :))

  • @SHErocks1929 down in the buker is available from rgf records

  • You can hear people screaming for this song on the Live at the Robin album.

Wonder why they never played it. seems v ery popular, was it not an original gibbons band song?

  • My old man used to play this and 'Down in the bunker ' when i was about 6.....loved it then n still do...quality !

  • If this was Revolver, then it was shown on ATV not BBC.

  • I love this song.

  • Still alive ???? Saw him last night in Morecambe... great gig , great band , great bloke. Drinking with him/them 'till late after the gig... real gent.

  • Is Steve still alive? I saw him live in a pub in Dudley about ten years ago, the show was great, but poor old Steve looked well past his sell by date.

  • I disagree, saw him Cropredy afew years ago and was quite taken with him despite being about 40 years younger than him!! He's DEFINITELY still got it

  • The song`s construction reminds me of The Who`s Magic Bus - so coincidence they both feature bus in the title

  • coincidence ? nah more like a bandwagon as jump on the band wagon . totally copied most of the who song

  • I actually saw Steve in Sweden this year, not my taste of music but he was pretty good. He had a band with some locals and some others, well "no spitting on the bus" was the best song in my opinion at the gig.

  • where was the venue in sweden? i am a brummie, living in sweden and would have loved to have seen him.

  • Drömfabriken in Sandviken

  • thank you for uploading this great tune, and to anyone who has anything at all to possibly upload with Steve Gibbons please please do

  • Much underrated artist!

  • Saw him perform this with Peggy and PJ Wright at Cropredy this year. Awesome. He has such charisma

  • Great stuff

Steve Gibbons appears in North London at

    Real Music Club/New Bull & Butcher N20 on Sat 19th July 2008

    A real classy perfomer

  • saw them 1980 at glasgow uni one of the best

live bands ever- deserved more recognition

  • Every musician/band/music fan of today should be sat down and shown this clip....this IS music!!

  • my kid brother did this song and tore the roof off the house.Love it and it will always remind me of Tommy John.Peace my friend and you watch them buggers on that bus

  • Lookin for "One of the Boys" - any ideas?

  • Cracking...is this the show that was on one satdy teatime? Or was that college rock or something? If I remember rightly it was a 1 hour concert shown at around tea time...would make a great post if any1 has it????
