@CultLeader1million Yeah! It was a heck of a find because it is an original sealed pressing. Just one of those flukes you find in a small store sometimes lol.
i recently got a beatles abbey road record, but it has one skip on it. do you ever have that problem with any of the records you bought? hope that's not a stupid question. great vid as always man.
Kiss Alive II was my first album. I'm grangma asking me what I wanted for Christmas and I showed her this album. To my surprise, She bought it for me.
nice Metallica and Slayer you showed;still looking to find that Slayer one on vinyl, lucky you!! enjoyed watching your answers to RockingLUPA's thread! cheers,Marcel
Alison Krause and Union Station are amazing. Great Bluegrass music. Do you have Raising Sand by Robert Plant and Alison Krause? It's an amazing record and I think you'd love it, especially since you like Gillian Welch.
@fatcatbuzz Yeah I know. It's just that I already have a lot of their albums and didn't want to buy that set and sell doubles and all that. I kinda of rather have the original releases if at all possilbe, so it seems a little more "fun" to do it this way.
Thanks for watching my friend! Great to hear from you.
@mrhoffame Yeah, I haven't bought the box set for the same reason you mentioned. I have the first 4 records including Decade of Aggression, so I'm not in a hurry to buy the box set as well. But, I'll get it sooner or later just to have it. Are you big Anthrax fan as well?
@fatcatbuzz Oh yeah. Love the Big 4 period! They gotta a show coming up pretty soon in NY. Really wish I could make it. I can't wait until they finally get a Norh American tour set up. I mean geeez...how great a show can it be when your choices for a opener is Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer, or Metallica (knowing it is Megadeth lol). That is like someone telling you that you won 4 million dollars and asking if you want the first million in 10s or 20s lol It's awesome either way lol.
@mrhoffame That would be a really great show. In a lot of ways, I want to see Anthrax the most because to watch the original band is something of a rarity ( I think Danny Spitz won't be on this leg of that tour). I live here in Korea right now, so I'm missing a lot of concerts. I saw the Smashing Pumpkins here in Korea (it's only Billy Corgan now) and it was a awesome show, but that's the only concert I've seen here so far. I miss concerts, my guitar and my vinyl. Can't wait to get home. hahaha
Hi there mrhoffame! Thank you so very much 4 your videomessage in which you reply to my first thread!! I'm sort of....very PROUD!! ;-) Actually your videos were the first ones I started watching in the vinyl community and I still do enjoy watching them! So it's really awesome you also are the first one who leaves a comment to my first thread, yeah!!! Really cool!! I will send you a pm because of the After The Silence cd ok? Kind regards, Ingrid/RockingLUPA, The Netherlands
@mrhoffame That's nonsense. I just think 240p is horrible quality. It's nice to have at least 480p capability. The audio is always fuzzy sounding in 240p and the video itself looks pixilated and grainy. I'm just saying it might be worth using a better camera since you're popular on YouTube and have lots of subscribers.
@The1970sInfatuate Easy big fella! I was just joking around lol. I'm not sure how it comes across on your end, but I don't see the flaws you see for some reason. On my computer that is. I don't get the pixils or the distortion in sound when I watch the playback on youtube so it hard for me to relate to what you see.
Great video as always mate. I was wondering if you could help me out, I really love your open mindedness when it comes to music, I mainly listen to thrash and various other sub genres of metal. I was wondering if you could recommend a few jazz or blues records, from what i've heard of jazz fusion I really like it. Cheers man, keep it up.
Excellent video man, really enjoyed this. I don't think I can remember the very first record I bought...I wish I could. I got a big stack with a record player as a gift then I was off and running. That's like ten years ago. I must say though, I only REALLY caught the bug in the last 3-4 years. Like that Ventures find. Also, Ray Charles was absolutely brilliant- no doubt about it!. Take care my friend, hope all is well.
The 80s are the best man. What's your opinion on the 2011 Duran Duran album? Just ordered it.

I think the St Anger box set on orange vinyls is out of order by now...only 1000 copies were made.
Fake collectors who bought this are already selling this one with a 50% margin on e bay.

Wow keep these coming i love them i hope to post some stuff up soon of my own (much much smaller) collection to help keep the scene alive!
