@quique510 as an american that loves cars from all countries I haft to say you have a general misunderstanding of american cars. Yes plenty of examples of under powered V8s but we also built things like the Ford 427 cammer 657hp at 7500 rpm and 575 ft/lbs of torque at 4,200 rpm. I can make a list of amazing engines built by american car manufactures thats just one from 1964. The first production SOHC V8 if  i am not mistaken you could order it from any ford parts counter back then

The engine size is 3,5 liters. V10, 800hp @ 14000rpm i think.

Wasn't a turbo engine I think so it would rev about 17000rpm.
