The trick for the hole in the stomach is masking. Take a picture of the Lego man normal, then without moving the camera, shoot just the background. Then edit the pictures using a photo editor like Photoshop or gimp

@tricksman456 It's a process called stop motion. In a nutshell it is moving the LEGO, take a picture, move the LEGO take a picture, and so on. It takes a long time and can be up to 15 frames per second. I hope that answered your question. ;)
