I had cancer that metastasised though a lot of my organs, and was lucky enough to have a great team of doctors and nurses for my chemo and surgery. It is a really long road to recovery and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Yes, there is a lot they can do, but two years in and out of hospital (more in than out) and a couple more years getting your strength back is not worth it for a bit of a tan.
