  • I downloaded this album for free a few months back, but my computer wiped all my music. I had the chance to transfer it from my ipod but decided to pay full price for it instead because it is that good.

  • That amazing moment when you realise that your band leader played in this recording...

  • @rabbidluigi Wait what?

    I am jelly.

  • @Oudaen Martin Hathaway, plays the alto sax. Check on Wikipedia.

  • who the fuck is gonna buy adam lambert's new cd? buy a radiohead cd.

  • Is the intro in the very beginning part of Kid A? its very cool, and whats that music at the very end of this song?

  • @FacultyBob 1. Yes, yes it is 2. From my opinion, it sounds that it's ripped from a movie but really can't tell what movie

  • @Sikisija oh thanks^

  • my sister came into my room and i was jamming out to this song...she called it terrible...and skipped it on my iPod. it shuffled to jason derulo.

as i type this i am tieing a noose.

  • @instawolf shut the fuck up

  • Comment removed

  • @MagicRastaBubbles technically i was never speaking so.........

  • @instawolf why do you have jason derulo on your ipod...

  • @MagicRastaBubbles *facepalm* He JUST answered that, you idiot.

  • @Riotmaker888 and?

  • @instawolf Why the fuck do you have Jason derulo on your iPod to begin with?

  • @OctavACoS my sister's music?

  • I love how Radiohead's most famous bassline wasn't even played by Colin, it's Thom in the recording.

  • Saxophone (y)

  • Man, i like to know that i'm not insane, because there are people that like the same things i like: Music, Ideas... Nice to hear the National Anthem

  • Standing in silence for the National Anthem everyday!? Reciting your allegiance to your country?!

What the hell is wrong with the rest of the world, thats indoctrination!

  • Kid A or Yankee Hotel Foxtrot??

  • @SuperPunchout3 Born This Way

  • @SuperPunchout3 Kid A. Kid A. Always and forever, Kid A.

  • World anthem.

  • This is the 21st century's jazz.

  • @Unnamed0909

jazz is the 21st century's jazz

  • Wish this was the UK's national anthem. I'd love to see the Queen march out to Greenwood's bass groove.

  • @5AU5AGEROLL Lol, me too mate. Another good one though; Kym Jong ill stepping out of a limo and putting sunglasses on in slow motion.

  • "It's holding on", not "What's going on".

  • Long live Charles Mingus!!!!!

  • Who said he hates this? WHOOOOOOO?????

  • Best song ever?

No wait...there are other 3459649304 best songs ever and they're all by Radiohead.

  • Loads of the albums you post on here are my favourite albums CommunistNihilist. Respect.

  • @rob032 CommunistNihillist is the fucking man

  • sweet music. The drums and bass rule this anthem

  • Colin is so underrated think of his bass lines like the national anthem, all i need, airbag and lotus flower. He is very good at what he does

  • @CTeamAwsome What about where I end and you begin.

  • @CreeprThaReaper haha couldn't name them all ;)

  • @CTeamAwsome It's Thom who plays bass on this track :-)

  • @buckley42m O ya thats rue man haha thanks but in the live version Thom plays his SG and Colin plays the bass

  • @CTeamAwsome I agree, but this bassline is by Thom Yorke. I really like the one on Staircase also.

  • @Unnamed0909 Yes that ones also very good. Radiohead is always twisting their music to fit their taste. Best Band Ever :D

  • @CTeamAwsome I concur.

  • The very beginning of this song always reminds me of "Pigs (3 Different Ones)" by Pink Floyd.

  • @Vladmiracle actually it does lol they did say the inspiration was Pink Floyd

  • @Vladmiracle radiohead is the modern day pink floyd if there was one

  • @mrdrprof

I think that Roger Waters would fit perfectly into Radiohead

  • @Vladmiracle omigosh thats what it reminded me of too! Hah :)

  • @Vladmiracle I knew i heard that sound somewhere, haha my fav band using the intro from one my fav albums :)

  • @Vladmiracle Also, the "Woo"s used in Gorillaz song "The Swagga" sound like the "Woo" 20 seconds in on "Pigs"

  • most turgid bassline of all time

  • Their songs always have something to do with world corruption! ;D thats why i wuv them :D

  • Anyone who thinks Kid A is a foreshadowing of 9/11 is just stupid.

  • IS THIS GENIUS OR WHAT GUYS??....It trancends all genres and styles.....it's everything....thats the point........it's everything.....about....to...E.X.P.L.O.D.E.....it's your national anthem........and it is most certainly your life...

  • I love Kid A, Except for this one song.

  • @greenftj 'cept for the fact that this is a British band. AND, during the War of 1812, when the National Anthem was written, we were at war with Great Britain. Just sayin

  • Sounds like Mingus!

  • Damn, I love that bass and all the instruments that break out into a chaotic fever! I think this song is about how fear can bring people together and yet, through this fear, chaos erupts and confusion and desperation hangs in the air. A nation controlled by fear; the perfect national anthem. :)

  • @greenftj

they're from England haha not the US

  • best song on the album

  • I want to live in the world where this is the official national anthem, and instead of putting your hand over your heart while listening you just spaz out like Thom Yorke does on stage.

  • @copaceticetal hahahaha fuck yer

  • @copaceticetal Haha, imagine being in school and standing for five minutes and fifty-two seconds every day in silence.

  • @theotherbatman The pledge of allegiance isn't the same thing as the national anthem you dumb fuck.

  • @Zoso709 I come from Canada where we stand for the national anthem everyday, dumb fuck.

  • @theotherbatman Listen douche, this song is referring to America not Canada. Look up the lyrics.

  • @Zoso709 I don't care what it's about, it's called "the National Anthem" & it was a joke. You incorrectly corrected me & swore at me, learn some manners. You just screwed up because you assume everyone's from the United States.

  • @theotherbatman I'm not obligated to show manners to a stranger from a different country on the internet. Or a stranger on the internet in general. And you screwed up because you tried to make a joke that wasn't funny and completely idiotic. Hence the lack of likes / responses to your comment.

  • @theotherbatman It's about 9/11 supposedly.

  • @copaceticetal haha! Yes!

  • ahhhhh, since ive read the inspiration for this (i think the novel anthem) its changed my view on the lyrics! it is a great song: the bassline is so sexy and rough sounding and the drums have an amazing beat to it- not to mention eds lovely LA LA LAs at 1:57 ! plus at the end everything just goes insane... EVERYONE HAS GOT FEAR!

  • Radiohead is such a musical exprience...

  • Probably gonna get flamed for this, but this is easily my least favorite Radiohead song. Still just can't get into it, even after a good 20 listens on Kid A. Meh.

  • @kmart43210

    It's my favorite.

This is wild, it's almost like people have different taste or something.

  • ugghh i really wish i had never heard lupe's version of this, now i can't dissociate this song from lupe fiasco and everytning about him. i actually like lupe but i hate it when people sample songs that are relatively well-known. it just ruins it forever tbh, just like lupe did to float on. make it stop, be more creative in your sampling. gosh

  • @willferris34 This song is well known to who? I doubt all of Lupe's listeners are into Radiohead like that. Just saying man....

  • @LadyofWar1980 it's well know to fans of radiohead, and there are alot of those. and i imagine a fair amount of radiohead fans may also be lupe fans. i know i am, which is why i wish i had never heard the lupe version of this. the same goes for show goes on, now if i ever hear the modest mouse original i can't help but to hear the inferior lupe version too.

  • @willferris34

EXACTLY! What he did to float on was a disgrace to the song and same with this song as well.

  • Live with the fact everyone will have different opinions in music.

  • What idiot disliked?

  • No-one hear mentions Lupe Fiasco song that samples this? It may be a rap song but it is still legitimately good.

  • @HunterOsk

    Lupe is a schmuck.

Constructus and Talib are where it's at.

  • @mrfudgeyhead You sir have enlightened me. Me gusta.

  • song is the shit when you're high cruising through the city on a board

  • wow, Never cared for this band but i think this is their all time best album o_O

  • Sweet bass line good drumming shame about the vocals and crappy horns

  • @TheHeathdog The brass was supposed to sound like that. And how dare you call Thom Yorke a bad singer?!

  • @Unnamed0909 yAH REALLY WHAT A WANKER

  • Comment removed

  • guaranteed to get u pumped up, what a fucking bassline, makes me wanna beat the shit outta some communist motherfuckers. they should maybe play this on england footy playas ipods, rather than lady gaga or whatever that trannys called.

    one love

  • This should be the real National Anthem. Fuck Francis Scott Key. Jonny forever!

  • @greenftj I second that. Actually Francis Scott Key only wrote the lyrics to the US National Anthem, the tune was borrowed from an 18th century English drinking song, but yeah.

  • @papagriz33 actually, the album was purposely experimental because they wanted it to be wierd enough that a wide audience wouldnt like it so that they could get out of their recording contract. hope this clears things up :/

  • @papagriz33

    Pretentious cunt.

  • @papagriz33 At least they don't videotape themselves singing Happy Birthday to their dogs. And even if they did, they don't fucking post it on YouTube.

  • This is such an awesome song. . . I heard it was made to sound like a traffic jam

  • @GianTheMan91 Fuck off cunt

  • @BRussellspouts you really sound like a fucking idiot, how about this, you keep to your shitty unimagintive bands, and we will listen to what we think is good. FAIR?

  • @Aspartan3 Do you have me confused with GIanTheMan91?

  • @BRussellspouts probably..... sorry about that

  • @GianTheMan91 .QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE SUCH DICK!!!

  • @Aspartan3 BOOOOOOO!!!!

  • The best song Charles Mingus never recorded.

  • Okay I can't wait to blast this in the car with my joint.

  • ohhhhhh helllll yeaahhhh....love this song

  • God DAMN this album changed everything!

  • this album is great! I absolutely love it. :)

  • Thom Yorke actually played the bass for the song...

  • This album makes me feel as good or better than Miles Davis album Kind of Blue

  • The kid who disliked this definitely isn't Kid A

  • Charles Mingus

  • @CaptainPommby haha, You and I have the same idea.

  • @GianTheMan91 what did he say about it?

  • @GianTheMan91 Trollface!

  • @GianTheMan91 I get that you don't like Radiohead, but I think we would all appreciate it if you stopped posting garbage on Radiohead videos. You're just being juvenile.

  • Sounds like time traveling to the 40's while high off your ass!

  • pretty obnoxious if you ask me

  • this song is epic but i have to admit I really don't like brass instruments in th sort of music I listen to... pity. Nothin against it really but i just don't like listenin to it and it throws me off. don't tell me i'm not apreciating good music, cuz I know it's good. but that's just my opinion.

  • i wonder how fucked someone would be if they listened to this song after taking LSD.

  • DAT BASS

    and that ondes martenot.

  • @CaptainPengu Ondes martenot!

(Wait, someone else knows what it is? I'm composing for it, and have to switch the part to piano because no-one knows what it is so no-one can find it...)

  • my friends mom says this sounds like "one of those songs you play late at parties and everyone's like 'uhhh' because they're so tired" fucking bitch

  • Love the "abuse" of the trombones, saxophones and other instruments in this song!!

most posetive abuse that I know of :)

    Radiohead - can't hate them!!!!

  • What's that noise at the end?

Sounds like something out of the 1940's

  • the lava moves if you look close enough

  • I heard the influence of Charles Mingus in this one (Jonny)

  • this song makes me feel awesome

  • pink floyd of 21 st century or maybe better...

  • All bass players should thank Radiohead to make songs for them. The drums are so awesome, and the guitar background is beautiful. The voice is psychedilic. The saxophon and stuff makes musical genre meet, and the effects of Johnny Greenwood completly makes me feel in an other world. And one guy still dislikes that.

PS : Sorry for the bad english, I'm french XD

  • OMG! This album is 10 years old! I remember as if it was today the first time I listened it. I'm getting old :(

  • It really sounds like jazz to me....

    Liked it!

  • Greatest outro of any song ever

  • HAPPY 10TH BIRTHDAY, KID A!

  • @11joshman Not nearly enough.

  • It kinda makes me think ima a tuff guy, walking down the street, gettin all kinds of looks. and not giving a damn what people say

  • @Cruze5000 haha this comments gas tuff boy wanna batter ya hey

  • @karler ???

  • @karler .....what the f*ck does that mean?

  • Miles Davis would have dug this.

  • @krono965 If peeing your pants is cool, consider me Miles Davis.

  • @Adamn00 Consider me Steve McQueen.

  • Most underated song on the album... people don't love it nearly enough

  • @LolRadioheadlol it recieved extensive radio play on modern rock radio

    is that enough?

  • This album is fucking brilliant

  • The best album of the last years

  • The vuvuzela kind of fits :P

  • this song is really fucking cool. i just picture dudes in sun glasses and really cool tuxedos with 12-gauges in their hands walking down a street in slow-mo. maybe im just too high

  • @musterdsandwich

your too high..i think they're uzis...

  • johnny greenwoods my nigga

  • @prain25 haha dats my nigga too on blood bruh bruh

  • Trippy jazz rock?

  • jazz? someone please help, im confused..

  • @trancePK radiohead transcends all attempts to label or categorize they are their own beast

  • but it hurts my ears QQ

  • @trancePK

    it's alternative.

  • The part where the horns come in. It's more like free jazz/avante garde.

I kinda dig it. Avante garde drives me nuts but they made it work in this song. I respect the fact they even went there. That takes balls!

  • @LadyofWar1980 some say they foretold a new era- one of alternative creative uncertainty.

  • @LadyofWar1980 some say they foretold a new era- one of alternative creative uncertainty.
