  • I Really Like The Video From Your An interview with Tammy Erickson, President of The Concours Institute. Tammy has co-authored four Harvard Business Review articles and the books

  • Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing An interview with Tammy Erickson, President of The Concours Institute. Tammy has co-authored four Harvard Business Review articles and the books "Retire Retirement

  • Were all doomed.

  • Ano to?

  • moms and dads accompanying the kids on interviews?! WOW how lame is that?! jesus christ we've been fucking BABIED our whole lives!!!

  • Are we on generation Y now? I thought I was in generation X. anyway. This one is useful in handling business.

  • Generation x = September 11th 2001 was a bad thing

    Generation y= September 11th 2001 was a spiritual awakening

  • Gen Xers are the LARGEST U.S. generational population. They're born between the years 1961 - 1981. The total U.S. Gen X population is 93,000,000 people. See New York Times bestselling book titled "Generations" by experts Strauss and Howe (page 318).

    H&S project the Millennials, born 1982 – 2002, at 76,000,000 people in the U.S. (updated to 90-95m) -- p. 336

    Baby Boomers, 1943-1960, are at 79,000,000 people in the U.S. p. 300

The "Silent" generation is at 49,000,000 people in the U.S. p. 280

  • i was born in '92, so what generation am i??? i was 9 when 9/11 happened.

  • @tatum635 gen y! you barely made it! ;) congratulations!

  • @tatum635 Pretty sure you're Y because you grew up in the 90's and, for the most part, remember the 90's. I think that people who grew up in and remember the 90's are a separate generation because we have a distinctly different view of the world. We grew up without the Cold War and largely benefited from the booming 90's economy. 9/11 acted as an awakening that there was evil in the world, and everything just went downhill from there.

  • I'm from an X-to-Y transition era.. so I got experiences from both era's.

I can remember 9/11, but also the fall of the berlin wall.

I like movies like TOPGUN and Platoon.. but also like the Matrix and pirates of the caribbean.

From where I see it, Y picks up things where X left them... and after that, Z will eventually pickup where Y left things.

It's not a bad thing thing to rely on technological and social development as long as the original ways are not forgotten.

  • trying to do an assignment on this: does anybody know of any sources of those with a perspective that gen y is naive

  • They are afraid of generation X, because X is smarter then boomers and Y. So they are afraid of competition, so this fat bitch is doing propaganda against Xers. Thats why she will fly out of her job and benefits, when X gen takes over!

  • The title should be "HOW TO MANAGE the bad Baby Boomer" Generation !!!

The title should be "HOW TO MANAGE the bad Baby Boomer" Generation !!!

The title should be "HOW TO MANAGE the bad Baby Boomer" Generation !!!

  • HBR case study - The team that wasn't - Part 1, JBIMS (Mumbai)

  • This lady is an asshole. It's not that gen y is arrogant or self-centered. The problem is that the top 1% of the U.S. owns 60% of the wealth. The top 20% owns 85% of the wealth, with the bottom 20% owning .03% of the wealth. As a working-class citizen I will demand as much as I can from a company and do my best to sabotage them.

  • dam she is so right about my generation which is Y....

  • Seems to me when I was young, The same thing was said about Gen X. We were lazy, spoiled, slackers (remember that one?) our parents hated our music. I heard my peers bitching about their hours and they wanted more flexibility. One of the main differences with this generation is the technology. I don't like a lot their music but that's probably the old fart in me coming out. I say give them time, they will find their way.

  • @NoPartyAffilliation gen x is lazy due to the death of River Phoenix, to this day they havent moved on......how is one supposed to THINK about the future when ur TEEN IDOL dies at 23 from drugs...that told us to do drugs and od like him

  • @sylicone221 River Phoenix? What the fuck does River Phoenix have to do with anything?

  • @davidjradich he's the reason gen x decided to just do drugs and not do shit in life! lol.....

  • @sylicone221 Speak for yourself. I am an Xer and don't do drugs. Could have given two shits about River Phoenix or any celebrity. Actually, want to know what is inside the heart and soul of Gen X. Read the book or see the film "Fight Club".

  • @davidjradich dont u remember when River Phoenix died in the viper room? his death showed me i only had to live to 23 hehehehheee! thats the impact he had on society....do drugs and od cuz of him.....

  • @sylicone221 Yeah, I remember, but I just don't give a shit, nor do I believe that event had a damned thing to do with anything or had much of an impact. Some spoiled celebrety killing himself with drugs means nothing. Now fighting in a war, where my side killed over 150,000 and we lost 79, yet having that war prove nothing (I speak of course about Desert Storm). Now that has an impact on a generation's psyche.

  • @sylicone221 Speaking of drugs, what ones are you on?

  • @NoPartyAffilliation I think Xers can be some pretty happening people if you can find them. I don't think things are changing because its the straw that finally broke camel's back (that's not a typo, 'puf! puf!'), I think things are changing because the way we think is so radically different, its like a square peg and a round hole, both are made of steel, so there's gonna be some blood here and there as the parts locate and fully connect in the work place. the peg Y is case hardenned btw...

  • These Gen X'ers are so fucking stupid. If this video is a representative of a generation I want them to fail.

  • @leapingfury go ahead and talk shit about me, go ahead and talk shit about my g-g-generation, we don't, don't give a fuck, and we won't ever give a fuck until you give a fuck about me and my generation .... - Limp bizkit .... ;-)

BTW the women is a Boomer not a Gen X. Also we don't care if we fail or not (this is the reason why boomers and Gen X don't get along)

  • @shy1829 Sorry for offending you. I just think the woman in this video is an idiot. I don't hate any generation but I often do dislike what a particular demographic stands for.

  • Watching this video I have to say Gen X is fucking retarded and deserves to burn in hell. I hope these people are not a representative of an entire generation.

  • you all play the victim, you can't control the time you were born.

    we are all fucked up.

  • "Die Gemeinschaft ist keine Gesellschaft" Freud said. But I couldn't quite get Jung... this guy split the mental spirit in Ueber-ich, ich, Alter ego, ueber ich... but Heisenberg died in 1976??? I don't get it...

  • Die Gemeinschaft ist keine Gesellschaft Freud said. But I couldn't quite get Jung... this guy split the mental spirit in Ueber-ich, ich, Alter ego....

  • this lady is still just trying to get paid

  • I'm pushing 40 and was working with a 24 year-old. I found him to be difficult to work with and he felt the same as I. There was a huge disconnect.

  • @davidjradich Many of my classmates who are now business managers or leaders in different professions have told me stories of Gen Yers who are difficult to work with, feel free to give their opinions, or lack basic mechanical skills. One of the commonalities they found of Gen Y is their reluctance to perform rigorous manual labor.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s Bunch of pussies if you ask me. Coddled from day 1!

  • @davidjradich The kid has left and productivity is back up.

  • I am a Gen Y and I think that most of the Y are really selfish, immature, superficial, greedy and like themselves way too much.

Wich is why I tend to get along better with Xer.

Of course there's some dumb ppl in all generation but I just find Gen-Y to be worst, VERY worst... maybe when they get older they'll get better, I certainly hope so.

  • all these thoughts are pretty un important, everyone on the internet just lumps groups together, thinking as the collective is a waste of time, I am so diffrent from what i apear like its not even funny, If i had to make a generalization id say men are getting weaker each generation and need to seriously man up, there is only 2 main groups of people, people that are awake and people that are not.

  • THIS LADY IS THE GEN Y OPPORTUNITY GRINCH. DON'T LET THIS STEREO TYPING HARVARD UNIVERSITY EMPLOYEE STEAL YOUR OPTIMISM.

  • what the fuck is this. Its another way for boomers to get rich by creating problems. Popular belief is lazy and retarded.

  • WITH YOUR PARENTS?!?!??!?!

  • Learn how to text you freaking dinosaurs!

  • "Generation Y is lazy, brats, spolied...Handed stuff from mommy and daddy".......Mommy and Daddy come from the Generation X....It's funny how y'all hate the generation you raised. It's all BAD PARENTING. Don't blame us, the media or any technology because YOU failed as a parent. I'd rather be a teen in the 2010 then a teen in the 1999 shooting up a HS because I was bullied...Yeah, Go 90's teens -_-

  • @PhreShPimpCeSS gen y are mostly young adults now

  • @sylicone221 gen y are still immature brats always will be

  • Gen Xers are the LARGEST U.S. generational population. They're born between the years 1961-1981. The total U.S. Gen X population is 93,000,000 people. See New York Times bestselling book titled "Generations" by experts Strauss and Howe (page 318).

H&S project the Millennials at 76,000,000 people in the U.S. (see page 336).

Baby Boomers are estimated at 79,000,000 people in the U.S. (see page 300).

The "Silent" generation is at 49,000,000 people in the U.S. (see page 280).

  • @26789mzx why so few silents left?

  • @26789mzx gen x is fucked up cuz of the death of river phoenix....his death showed us..do drugs...and od like him at 23........hehehehehee....river phoenix ruined gen x...they havent moved on! hahahhaaa....when ur teen idol dies, how the fuck can you even think about planning for the future?

  • @26789mzx

wherefrom have you got these figures? do you really refer to "Generations: The History of America's Future, 1584 to 2069" (by H&S, 1992[!!!]) ??? in the meantime, let's say 20 years, there have been some new discoveries made... food for thought...

  • @26789mzx

According to most sources, Gen X is the SMALLEST generation in terms of population compared to both Boomers and Gen Y-ers.

  • @velconstantcraving A recent National Science Foundation (gov) sponsored study says Gen Xers were born between the years 1961 to 1981. So a 20 birth span would support the premise that there are approx. 90 million Gen Xers in the U.S.. The report is due out this week — Oct. 25th 2011.

See ‘Xplaining Generation X – An NSF-Sponsored Webcast — New study reveals surprising insights about people born between 1961 and 1981

  • I dont give a fuck if they wanna call us generation Why or whatever

But Things Are going to get better for Us,Time is on our side

Lets stay away from old farts Tryin to Put us Down

Express your self , Do what you want ,Play or Listen to any music you want, fuck

what everyone says,Dont let the media control you, Break the standarts !

  • @nevasnitch GENERATION Y SUCKS..YOU ALL SUCK ......

  • @nevasnitch time is on your side yes but what happens to gen y when mummy and daddy are no longer there for you can gen y survive on there own dont think so

  • @dihle12 for most that isnt any time soon, you talking about when theyre retired or dead?

  • @nevasnitch ::googles capcom front line base khinsider , takes the first hit, downloads it and listens:: that felt good.

  • Wow this video hit it right on the spot. I'm a Y

  • tubestick00 - you probably right when it comes to generation Y from foreign countries, but statistically Gen Y american's haven't worked as hard manually as previous generations. Some of my classmates worked between 14 and 17 hours, 7 days a week, during the summer months lifting 60+ pounds in 103 degree weather in sandy loam filled with thorned plants.

Now you tell me what you did as a child or teenager during the summer and give me examples of Gen Y doing similar work today.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s how about working in fast food restaurants, and i got fired from all of them

  • @chroniclerofthe70s gen y couldnt do that sort of work they would die its to hard for them they are nothing but a drop kick generation

  • @dihle12 what a joke. your a fuckin dropkick. id kick your ass, i work harder than you, your a jealous ageing sack of shit. pissed coz you cant score young chicks anymore.

  • @tubestick00 your the joke little boy and drop kick you you say you would kick my ass yeah right you work hard bullshit work hard doing what sucking on mummies breast thats bout all why would i be jealous of young dumb and full of cum brain dead immature fuck wits like you i would never have a young female now days they are also brain dead fuckwits that are still on mummies breast why dont you do us a favour and go back to preschool where you belong come back when your tiny brain has developed

  • @dihle12 wow, quite a visious response there. im not a little boy, im a father of two, 25 years old, and whats with your attitude. in my experience, people only have a sinical, negative view of everthing like you do when theyve had alot of negative experiences. have you been burned ? rejected, or hurt in some way? i would say your quite a loser..... old chump.

  • Comment removed

  • @dihle12 your 32. you borderline gen y yourself

  • @dihle12 Art often imitates life. Check out scene right before the budweiser commercial in Close Encounters of the Third Kind; you'll see teenagers and kids working on their yards on a Saturday morning. This was a common sight back in the 70s. This is rare today; it's the GenXer's still doing the yard work. I'm a mid GenXer earned my first few dollars doing manual labor at 5 years old. It was okay cause I felt I gained some respect from the older kids.

  • @dihle12 agreed, gen y is lazy and expects things handed to them

  • perhaps america is fucked? in from new zealand. i walked to school all through my childhood, and during school holidays i worked with my father for some pocket money.

i think you just have a warped perception of what real young people actually are like.

your parents probably thought they did it much harder than you... living through the great depression and all. and they almost certainly did. lokk at the bigger picture here. nothings changed other than the usual changes.

  • Am I part of this "Gen Y" thing? I'm 18 years of age.

  • @gorion79 no. your what they are calling generation next.

  • @gorion79 i think we're just part of that weird overlap between Y&Z. some act as Ys and some act like Zs

  • wiseye61 There is nothing superior about Gen Y. Every technology used by Gen Y was invented in the minds of the World War II generation.

  • In no way is anyone born in 1980 a Gen Xer. I know many who are born in 1980 who have adopted political correctness of their parents exhibit the behaviours of Gen Yers.

Gen Xers have little or no political correctness.

  • Gen Y take on difficult tasks without fear and confidence. There Ready? i see them failing and constantly had to tutor them. They often lack expertese and experience.

There is nothing creative about adopting fads from the past. I had an entire class of Gen Y who begged for an open book test even though their lowest test score would be dropped.

Gen Y are recycled boomers; it shouldn't be suprising considering many are the children of boomers.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s gen x is children of silent generation

  • Gen Y are the EGO generation, the me, myself and I reloaded, they are hard to manage and dealing with. They are plastic and just want life easy and fast, they values are broken and yes, they can do whatever the want but sometimes the abuse.

  • @Tishwonder75

    cool story bro

  • @Tishwonder75 fuck gen y, theyre going to ruin society...they should NOT procreate heheheee

  • How come only wealthy white people identify with their generations? It's all a marketing tool , folks.

  • Generation debtmaker speaking about GenY immediacy... Funny... :)

  • Am I Gen Y, if I was born in 1996? And is my mother a baby boomer if she was born in 1960?

  • @Qdude10 yes you are in Gen Y. i think it ended in 2000, so anyone born after that is Gen Z

  • @Qdude10 I believe your a millenial. An interesting thing about millenials is many of them tend to like music and films from the 70s and 80s. If your one of them, congratulations. Your mother, technically could be considered a boomer. But 1960 is just a year difference from 1961 that she probably can relate very well to Generation X. It's very likely that most millenials are the children of Gen Xers.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s the older gen x.....

  • boomers and y's see eye to eye

  • @balianmachiavelli I see, so I see eye to eye with my grandma?

  • @eathenicus visually you can, emotionally... its between the two of you

  • i wonder if they've ever tried to interpret this the other way; because "generation Y " was taught to think that they could do everything, they could have been left alone to do them; my parents didn't interfere with my life as much as they say most parents do.

Plus, this is the BIGGEST GENERALIZATION of some 70 million people, just because they're born in the same period.

  • @blckprljin Yes, but a generalization supported by statistics.

  • gen y, gen fucked-up.

  • @FleshMob Gen Y are folks who were born in the mid 70s to 1995... The last of GEN Y is my age group, we're fresh HS graduates now.

  • @eathenicus right... so im gen y cos i was born in 93.... kl

  • @eathenicus Gen X is 64-79 give are take a year even those born in 1980 can be considered late xers, because the last of gen x graduated in the 90's. Gen Y was not born in the 70's because most of you came of age after 2000.

  • Sorry, people who ARE born between 1982 and 2000 are called "Millennials".

  • People who born between 1982-2000 are called "Millennials".

  • She obviously doesn't know what she is talking about...She calls us "Generation Y!" Ugh...Gotta be the worst term for us.

  • generation Y are clearly the superior in our species. Especially the ones born on 1992

    :P

  • @wiseye61 I'm laughing hysterically right now with your comment, because I was born in 1990.

  • Comment removed

  • @aegisforex they want the world handed to them

  • @aegisforex so true. you know, they almost have us convinced they're right. fuck these old bastards

  • @aegisforex why shouldnt baby boomers and genxers get bloated pensions they have worked for it more then anyone can say about gen y

  • @dihle12 College educated millennials have only been in the job market for about eight years. Perhaps you should allocate your time and effort into stringing together a coherent sentence before posting another inane rambling.

By the way, I didn't know convicts...err Australians were allowed to use computers. Shouldn't you be outside lapping Vegemite off your pet dingo's balls?

  • @aegisforex theyre SO stupid, like its ok for them to wear flip flops but not gen x? thats fucked

  • @sylicone221 I don't know any gen-yers who wear flip flops to work unless they're working at a waterpark, you f***ing buffoon.

  • @aegisforex Check out Gen Y Social Misfits? YT vid. A little disturbing.

  • god im watching this again after i saw it months ago.

this stuffy old woman has no idea. about as accurate as a kkk member talking about the way black people behave and think.

    we're impatient? bullshit.

  • Fuck these old farts! Take your job and shove it. I am sooooo gen Y. Fuck off

  • you make me wish i wasnt a gen y this is the reason we are viewed this way, they are just saying what they see. why should we expect them to praise us all the time?

  • Hi I'am God please keep me in the loop of Gen Y, It's cool, but so am I.

  • who the hell would go to a job interview with their parents. if anybody has actually done that that is just totally fucked

  • @tubestick00 gen y of course, they cant even conduct themselves properly.....IDIOTS

  • and for the record, baby boomers parents were horrified at their behaviour. long haired semi hippie free love 60's &70's kids. now they're equally misunderstanding of their own kids.

and y'ers will probably be the same with theirs

  • @tubestick00 It was the WWII parents who were horrified by their baby boomer kids born in mid 40s and throughout the 50s. These were the teenages and college students who made up the hippie culture of the late 60s and early 70s. The kids of 60s and 70s were Gen Xers who didn't have anything to do with the hippie culture. The children of the baby boomers are the Gen Yers of today.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s yeah... no kidding? you think i dont know this? you say "it was the wwII parents who were horrified by there baby boomer kids' behaviour", and that is exactly what i said there. i think your confused. your correcting me by but saying exactly what i said.

  • @tubestick00 okay, yes i thought you meant children of the 60s and 70s. I grew up in the 70s my parents were born in the early to mid 30s. I agree with you, seems Generation Y is a recycled version of their hippie boomer parents.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s whoa now... i never said that recycled version comment..? your putting words in my mouth. my point was merely that every generation is different to the one before it. and the older ones always complain about how they dont understand the younger ones, this has aways happened and is not some new phenomenon caused by a "useless, lazy, poorly raised, spoilt generation" like some boomers would have us believe.

  • @tubestick00 Only this time it's true for the majority of Generation Y.

In general, my generation often worked on weekends as children. In the summer, we worked manually to earn money to buy a new bicycle, used car, or clothing for school. Most of my generation also walked home from school; usually over a mile.

In 20 years, i've yet to see children or teenagers doing manual work on the weekend or summer break. My generation was raised similar to our parents and grandparents.

  • i dont accept that gen y is affected by events, thus making them impatient. thats ridiculous. during history theres always been horrific events taking place. and we are pretty patient. i mean its the baby boomers that have fucked the economy. you dont see 25 year olds on the news as the ceos and directors of big banks and corporations operating in insolvency. its always some 60year old greedy boomer. only we wont judge that entire generation by a few like they seem to. jealous old people

  • isn't saying jealous old people judging that entire generation? they aren't perfect and neither are we btw im gen y

  • no its not because im talking about these people who are trashing y'ers specifically. but nice try tou self hating y'er. you say your ashamed to be y. well im ashamed to be from the same generation as such a closed minded conforming little boomer pleaser. we are what we are. nothing to be ashamed of

  • @Skycryingrain gen y sucks heheheee, gen x hates them more than baby boomers hahahaa

  • @tubestick00 gen y sucks...and im no fan of baby boomers

  • god this interviewer is such a loser, he seems quite jealous and bitter of the new y comin and beatin him down.

    i'd fire him instantly!

  • generation x are the biggest lost pieces of trash ever!!!!

generation y here we come baby!!! you can't handle us, just kill yourselves off and save us the trouble to multi task doing it.

  • this is why im ashamed to be in gen y

  • @paragonx88 gen y sucks...you are so incompetent and stupid.....did you even finish high school

  • @paragonx88 gen y are the biggest losers lazy immature brats gen y multi task yeah right society would be better off if gen y kill themselves

  • @dihle12 gen y is great.

  • pfff when they will go all to retirement they will have just no choice than taking into account Gen Y's point of view ahahaha! Maybe we will be nice enough to pay the retirement !

  • at least show some respect to people who are older they have been around longer, think about how we'd want our kids n grandkids to treat us

  • @Occilocia you gen y people SUCK BALLS

  • Lol adapt 90% of the employers will write their asses up lol.

  • Thats cool so the washed up past retirement age babyboomer can take the gen yer's idea and pass it off as their's therby keep ing themselves in employ.

  • Too bad they are totally useless & pointlessly dull so at least they are born in the age of the Worst economic situation so that Harvard Boomer Wanker like this can mess with their lives and the bank will steal their healthcare! Oh, the cost of conformity and listening to wankers like this!!!!! lol.

  • 20 year old "shelivade91" is Gen Y but doesn't want to admit it.

  • nuke every gen Y asshole.

  • What a rosy picture from a woman who just wants to self promote

  • i dont understand. if the average age to have a kid is 25 (which is still a record high), how are the parents of gen y supposed to be baby boomers that are 40 years older than them?

  • Gen Y's parents are mostly late boomers, (born 1955-1964), late boomers were about 21 to 35 in mid 80's to early 90's when most of Gen Y was born. That's why.

  • @jerms246 average age is 25?? my parents had me at 29 and 30 and they are the silent generation.....where u get that? thats EARLY

  • Is this video a social experiment, or what?

  • I think Tammy is describing the human condition rather than a recent generational phenomenon. But what's with all the haters out there?

  • Maybe Tammy is describing YOUR human condition because you are Generation Y too.

  • Generation Ys are unique, creative and brilliant generation we don't settle for just anything our parents and bosses throw our way!!!!!!!!!!!!!! conservatism is not the best answer for the world we live in!! kevinues

  • Shutup you self righteous faggot, Gen Y wouldn't know unique if it fucked them up the ass 10 times and cummed out of their mouths. Everything about them screams conformist.

You're lookists, you think driving a hybrid minivan and race mixing with niggers gives you the right judge people based on their appearance. Gen Y are a communist generation, you all want to agree on the same ideals because your pussies. Go eat your estrogen filled soy burger and shut the fuck up.

  • is there an argument hidden in all that douchebaggery? or are you just doing it for sport?

  • I sound like a douchebag because I need to act like an asshole to get your attention and make optimistic Gen Y feel like shit.

Gen Y doesn't care about anything except themselves, they're uninterested until someone makes fun of them, that someone is me.

  • thats weird, because we are one of the most socially accepting generations to date. and i never knew that optimism was a bad thing...

  • Socially accepting? So if a 6 foot 5 white male in leather pants, a wife beater, and a Swastika across his fucking neck came to your school you would accept him? I'm not saying what I would do, I'm asking you.

Just because you accept gays and let dykes move into your neighborhoods and tell you how to live doesn't mean your accepting, it just means your politically correct.

And yes, optimism can be retarded. Watch the Disney Channel and you'll see what I mean.

  • nope, most of us draw the line if people beat up others or have the nazi symbol anywhere on them. but im talking about gay people, races, and ethnicities. and no, im not just trying to not offend people when i support gay rights. the disney channel isnt the real world, and im sure as hell not watching it

  • Exactly you're reverse discriminating and suck cock for gay people for social acceptance. Gen X'ers had their metalheads, grungers and skinheads. You have hybrid minivans Abercrombie & Fitch.

I just hope one day you go to prison so you have to play husband and wife with bubbles greasy lax stick and have to beg your "white brothers" for mercy.

And I DO watch the Disney Channel. Yes sir, I said it, straight up anti Semetic Disney, not the kind your thinking of though. Some of it isn't half bad.

  • so you support skinheads, want me to get raped, and watch the disney channel because you think its anti semitic. ya, im done arguing here, there really is no point.

  • and you told ME to not jump to conclusions!

  • @WILLFULOVER gen y are lazy immature brats that cant live with out mummy and daddy not creative or brilliant if i go into a shop i hate being served by gen y cause they are useless

  • @dihle12 they really are.....i dont think they would hire a gen x?

  • So GEN X has the boomers to blame for bringing these Gen Y lazy, wasting brats into the picture.

Great, I knew I hated the boomers for some reason. They want to die and leave Gen X to deal with the problems they birthed.
