You can't stay "ahead of the trend" when you have a customer base that is happy (and paying) for what they currently have. You change to much and you lose what got you the people you currently have.
I thihk you guys are takeing it the wrong way. They want to give you more when your in station and seperate from spae and ships. I would like to see a little more diersity on the station. Other then that they are working on the new ships and slowly adding to the game. They have a monster called Eve online and the busget they hae to work with can only support so many workers to hold the monster at bay.
/ Player base are hungry for perfection and only has a ssytem that gets it half right. Better then a lot of other companies out there. Everything is different then when they started the game. The game was never perfect and was made during a time when player base and issues that were never seen or herd of cause of the lack of visual discovery by players and ccp. So just wait for more updates.
I used to work for CCP. I would say the opinion of many of the lower and mid-tier developers is that CCP gets it right sometimes, but also gets it really wrong a lot of times as well. It's hard to say it's just the top management guys' fault, but they certainly deserve their share of criticism.
well...i left game 5 months ago..back for free 5 days, and left again. I was playing from 2006, but CQ and all this RTM stuff is not for me anymore. Anyway thx for few good gaming years CCP, when EvE was good game.
if you don't want vanity shit..don't buy it.. I don't get what the big deal is.. they aren't FORCING you to buy it.. holy shit.. stop whining and complaining and play the damn game.
@datinyone The problem isn't the vanity items and walking in stations, its that they pulled all of the rest of their development for about a year and told the players their need for a balance non-bugged game with finished content was irrelevant if they didn't unsub over it.
@datinyone that is the game, all their efforts now go into clothing and walking in circles. eve the spaceship game is gone, eve the deep space mall is here to stay. not for me, im off.
14:00 gives me a pretty clear idea of why the NeX store items are so expensive. CCP has for months been all about fashion. Now that is a fine thing for the WoD franchise's target audience is it much less so for EVE's audience. So while CCP has been all about "virtual fashion" and giving us "people dolls" to dress up. They seem to have lost the idea that we as players are focused on "Internet Spaceships" and the "Sandbox".
Look at 28 seconds into the clip where he says he is the CEO. Notice the blinks...That's the type of blink my girlfriend has after an orgasm. What a pathetic human being, this guy gives nerds a bad name.
@NarbaysSC2 wow you're being a douche bag about the way he blinks??..way to be a "Pathetic human being".. last I checked being a douche bag gave "nerd a bad name".
This post hits the bullseye. You've lost subscribers because you failed to listen in the past. From what I see coming and listening to players while in game,.... I'm not CCP is getting it yet.
Ultimately, virtual friends are just that,... the majority are meaningless relationships that are easily walked away from. That's why players unsubscribe and don't come back,... their virtual friendships didn't keep them there.
You need to put more effort into the gaming aspect.
this interview need to be done again now we are post Incarna and Crucible and see what he says is different.

Say yes to MT and GOLD SHIPS AND AMMO!!!!
It will be funny to see all of the unsubbed players still playing...and you guessed it. In a gold ship with gold ammo :)
Ildrynabyss 8 months ago
@Ildrynabyss
Except, they won't be playing at all.
So the only funny is those same players who have unsubbed and will remain so until CCP stops repeating history.
FYI you fucking retard, another company also ignored their playerbase and the game's sub count dropped drastically. And that game is ending this year.
Even the developers who worked on it said listen to your playerbase, it will the only one you get.
Dumb fuck.

@mecher3k Fuck you bitch.
CCP is doing just fine. They are not SWG and they are keeping the game the same. Read the Dev responses.

"They are not SWG"
That's right, it's hard for a company to be a game, derp derp.
"and they are keeping the game the same."
For now.
"Read the Dev responses."
There's also devs saying last July that "there will be no microtransactions coming to EVE"
Year later and just that is here.
