@grendal742007 This is a common misconception about wayland. Unity (well, compiz, the window manager it uses), kwin, etc., will *be* the wayland display server / compositor.

@ikemkrueger At this point, it isn't. As I said, it's very early in development.
Eventually, it should be good for reducing (cpu and memory) overhead, and smoother video in all applications you currently run under X. Without losing any network capability.
