my friend gave me her brothers old Ipod classic because I wanted one and he had an Itouch. I gave it a new ID but when I try to transfer songs it says that it cant do that because I don't have permission to do anything with my computer (or something), and then it shows the old ID, not my own. Can someone help me?

i have a really old ipod touch like the 4th generation or so, the one tht doesnt have color. It just freezes and all it shows is an apple logo or the charge symbol when i plug it in my computer! Help
