@weatherallc05 I know some sets from 1997 and 1998 they are some of my favorites, the were much more melodic that today's sets from him. I really miss that more melodic trance stuff. The sets from 1994-1996 are very rare to find these days I don't have any of these sets but I once had, they are not that great in my oppinion because trance in that days was not as mature as in 1999.

Every dj has a right to whatever format they wanna use. Whether it is cd's, vinyl or a laptop. With pvd he basically brings his whole production set on the stage. I guess he is showing how intimate he really is with his music.
all those dj's , now have more technology , more option ,cd'd , ableton, laptops and fuck know what elese..... but no one even can get close to level from 10 years ago !!!!!!!!!!

It was all about track selection back in these days, nowadays everybody think he can mix every track with any other because everything is synchronised. For me a good track selection before the set is essential for a good set.
@orchidproductions Well look at Richie Hawtins (Plastikman). He uses Traktor to keep everything beatsynchronized but uses all the time that gains him to do crazy shit to the music. It's all about finding your style. And sure, '99 trance was fucking great, but it's not like it's all crap now.
damn, this is great...in those time I was hooked with my tape recording radio on the analogue satellite receiver. And this set was beeing played all the year 1999 in my walkman. The pvd's oldest and one of the best sets I have ever listened. Now a tear in my eye appeared, when I saw thit video again :-)...btw, no HD version available? :-)
yes I have a mp3 from that set, it´s about 45 minutes long. Paul played 1 hour. I cutted out the interviews and commercials. The best thing is,, that it completes to the video, because it implies parts not shown on TV and vice versa.
