A lot of times the nations who had been conquered and cities burned down were turned into slaves. Slavery is not a racial issue since every race has been slaves and even to their own race. Slaves back in the day, were slaves out of their own will, people had to choose between dying of starvation or selling themselves, there were rules in place for slavery to prevent the abuse , so you can’t talk when you say that the Bible supported the black slave trade. ‘Obey your master’, this was just to show and reflect the character of Christ, not to oppress its people, and I guess the same rule applies to the work place in modern time.

This was a more modern invention, relatively -- Anno Domini is medieval Latin for "In the year of the Lord", BC means Before Christ -- Obviously an invention in English. English did not exist as a language at the time of Jesus. The Angles were a German tribe that invaded Britain with the fall of the Western Roman Empire. Thus believers in Jesus, not Jesus changed the Roman calendar. I didn't know the goal of Jesus was to sell bibles. I am arguing.

Im not an atheist either nor am I religious, but I do believe in God, and Jesus, the person name Jesus was just a human being, thats all, and even Jesus said it himself, not to worship him but to worship God...the bible was written in Hebrew and mistranslated in English, people misinterpret the bible wrong cause of the translators who mistranslated the bibel wrong...but anyway, this is some powerful stuff said.

A lot of times the nations who had been conquered and cities burned down were turned into slaves. Slavery is not a racial issue since every race has been slaves and even to their own race. A racial issue is one race thinking another race doesn't deserve the same rights. You mentioned race.

@robwilliams15 it doesn't matter how long ago it was because the affects of what they did back then were meant to be sustained until today. They killed non believers and pretty much forced the religion on the people until eventually their childrens children thought christianity was common. So basically they don't have to do that now, because for one, they can't. Not in america at least. And secondly because now they got the people instead of the church doing the dirty work.
