  • sounds don k reids doowop shop on W C B S -FM in new york.

  • White lead , Paul Himmelstein, with a black group handling the harmonies. Great combination here. Excellent group.

  • I heard them on a rare recording of them winning a contest at the apollo on the old doowop shop show on WCBSfm. Still sounds good!

  • Powerful Uptempo DooWop as it best!

  • My Uncle Paul. Yes, I love this

  • Thanks neenee3496! I stand corrected. I was confusing this with another group's breakup.

What a privilege to have an uncle in this group. It must be nice.

  • They also didn't continue recording because one of their parents didn't let them continue.

  • that is not why they stopped recording....the lead singer is my uncle and that is certainly not the reason

  • @neenee3496 I finally discovered what group it was I was confusing the Heartbreakers with, it was Budd Johnson and the Voices Five who couldn't continue because of their mom.

  • I can't believe this song is on here! Awesome. I love the ending as well, anything with a harmonoious ending is awesome to my ears!

  • Brilliant!! Great up-tempo Doo-wop...and just kids to? Wow!!

  • The Heartbreakers from the Bronx in 1957...Four black teens with a 12 year-old white Jewish kid, Paul Himmelstein as the lead singer.
