This is NOT a review...It's criticism. I recently purchased these speakers and they sound awesome. The higher I raise the volume the clearer the bass sounds I dunno what this quack is talking about. Also the satellite speakers are stable but then again why the heck would you hit them in the first place? This video FAILS!!!!
get the tritton ax pro dobly digital box and you can hook this up to optical. I get full 5.1 surround sound out of my ps3 with this set up on these speakers and it sounds great.

@ivanzl89 On the bottom right of the taskbar is the speaker icon. Right click it and choose "playback devices". A window will open and there you need to select the device that has a check mark. Now click "configure" on the bottom left of that window. Now select "5.1 Surround" and that is it. You can also click "Test" to make sure everything is working correctly.
@MrDarkcloudBeats reason is probably same as mine, just put audio/video to 3.5 cable, just type in google (1.5m Audio Video AV Cable, AV a/v cable 1 to 2) and first picture is the one that you need if dont have it buy it, its cheap, works for me!! :D
I'm a music producer and I use these speakers in my home studio. They work pretty well. I don't have any problems with knocking them over or using them effectively because of two things that this reviewer doesn't seem to understand: I don't use a mac, and I mounted them on the wall. These two things ensure I will have an excellent audio experience.
these people digital trends are stupid because this speaker system is a really good speaker system. brand new will sound fine at first but after you broken them in. subwoofer is much deeper more clear has better thumps satellite speakers are crisp and voice is much clear. i replace the subwoofer with a newer woofer that produces much more bass. can see this woofer in action at my channel
This is a poor review, hell its just an opinion because no first hand review was completed.
I have these and they are very good for the price. I got mine for $25.95 through Wal-Mart as a price match because a local store was blowing them out of their inventory. I bought the extended warranty for 3 more years just in case and go out the door for about $35 dollars.
You might need the Sale ad of the other store, but my Wal-Mart didnt ask me for it so it stayed in my pocket.
I have these speakers are perfect speakers for a computer, sounds awesome in video gaming aswell, 0:55 that is a load of crock i set mine just below half and i can adjust the bass in my Audio Manager and it does make a big difference. As for how loud they can go, i can turn it up 8/10ths on the speaker before it starts to distort, which at 8/10ths it pretty dam loud, i got complaints in my appartment building about the bass before i moved to my house.
ok go back to the kitchen mine has never distorted at high volume and i have mine at high volume all the time my basss is all the way up and its been tyhrashed the fuck outve and ive had it for 2 years and still sounds like brand new my speakers have never been nocked over and its perfect ot actually better then my old $1300 setup

They are not light, I have these, they are quite heavy. They sound superb, better than alot of the more expensive speaker sets. They look really good and practical for the job at hand. I think they are worthy of a 9/10 at least.

I got this system and the sounds is CRYSTAL CLEAR, in fact the sound gets even more clearer as i turn the volume up! It's got dual drivers in each satellite - so the surround sound reaches all parts of your enviroment... Only drawback is the fact that it doesnt have a main seperate volume & bass control with digital input...This has nothing to do with the sound quality...
they are actually really good, as long as you dont expect real surround with games etc, as they dont have a SPDIF or HDMi input, but what do you expect for 80$?

@1NinaMusic You need to configure your PC for 5.1 speaker setup. At the moment you are probably only configured for 2.1 so your two back speakers don't recieve any signals. Google it for guides on how to do this.

Here is my review on these (I have never heard them, nor have I owned them before)
If you are buying these JUST for the bass, you will probably be disappointed. A 5 inch woofer won't hit low bass, probably not below 45Hz.
If you are buying these because you want a "better than standard" sound system or just a cheap home theater setup, then these are for you.
I have heard lots of good reviews, this 5.1 tends to be a hot topic on a lot of home theater and advice forums. They are well priced.

I have heard nothing but good things about this 5.1 set, I would suggest looking in other places for reviews!
It's a 5 inch woofer, so the bass will probably reach 43Hz or so, probably not audible after that.

I got this system and the sounds is CRYSTAL CLEAR, in fact the sound gets even more clearer as i turn the volume up! It's got dual drivers in each satellite - so the surround sound reaches all parts of your enviroment... Only drawback is the fact that it doesnt have a main seperate volume & bass control with digital input...This has nothing to do with the sound quality...

@1NinaMusic You need to configure your PC for 5.1 speaker setup. At the moment you are probably only configured for 2.1 so your two back speakers don't recieve any signals. Google it for guides on how to do this.
