I got rid of Comcast and bought this Kworld QAM tuner. I love it! No subscription and free broadcast TV! You can get 1080p NBC, ABC, FOX, WDCA, and a bunch of others (depends on your local broadcast). I'm in the DC area and I get about 25 channels and about 5 or 6 (depends on the time/channel) are on 1080p or 720p. It's worth it!

Yes, this should work if you get the KWORLD SA290-Q LE Digital TVBox w/YPbPr 1080i Output - but only in US, not in Mexico since it only receives Digital TV signals
