@MalikDon777, yes I'm familiar with BDOL for Aramaic, as in prayers like sloota d'sapra. However, this is sung in modern assyrian where BDOL doesn't apply, so I believe it should be B'kianeh, which make sense because we're saying Holy in His nature, right?
Enaanaa, why do we sing "bakhianeh" and not "b'kianeh" in the first line of this song? Do we mean to say "in his mercy" (bakhianeh) or "in his nature" (b'kianeh)? Beautifully sung. Thank you and God Bless.
Hi Romeo, yes indeed but please send me your work after you put the voice I would love to see how it will come out. I'm sorry I responded late I had no access to my Youtube for a while. Thanks and God bless.
enaanaa, please be kind to us and post more and more of your prayers in assyrian, I would love to hear it , I love your voice God bless you. please post them soon, like (mahmneenan) please.
In Gods Eys we are all one? If this is the case why we say what country did you come from and what language you speak. what's Nationality and even what church do you go etc...! You tell me a muslim who is been killing us is the same in Gods Eyes? Don't think so bro!!!
I'm proud ASSYRIAN and do speak my mother and my nation ASSYRIAN language. Go and sin no more:-)
Aramean1 - Assyrians/Arameans speak the same language - whether its called Assyrian or Aramaic or Syriac doesn't mean anything - the very fact that you (an Aramean) and myself (an Assyrian) can both understanding the words to this video proves this.
Aramean, Assyrian, Chaldean, etc... who cares, they are only labels. We are all equal in Gods eyes, so stop squabling with eachother. Do you think God cares what language we speak, or what we call our language? No. Speaking the language of Christ doesn't make anyone a good Christian, following Gods word is the only way. So listen to his words about 'loving your neighbour'.. And stop this silly debate please. Beautifull work Enaanaa x
I think some just feel unaccepted because in the bible, it specifically states Assyria is blessed, and the Assyrians are the people of His hands. 'Egypt, my people, will merge with the Assyrians, the people of my hand, who will merge with the Israelites, my inheritance.' Granted, I didn't state it exactly like that written in the bible, but same wording/message. The Assyrians were among the first to accept Christianity and disperse it for the rest of us to abide by.
Prof. William J. Fulco: "Preserve the Aramaic language and traditions at all cost! DO not let the splendid Aramaic become endangered. It is wonderful language that links us back to Jesus and centuries of Christian history. To lose that connection would be a tragedy."
Very good and hope that you will learn better our Aramaic language. I didn't mean that you give our language more names, but there are some other people that are try to do that. We must do everything to preserve our endangered Aramaic language and culture.
Ahuno..the Eastern dialect of Aramaic is called Madenhoyo/Madenhaya. The Western-Aramaic is called Syriac(Suryoyo)/Turoyo. The Classical Aramaic is called Kthobonoyo. The most of our people know that Assyrian is dead language for long time ago. I don't understand why some people don't want to understand this. The Assyrian was a nail writing language and absolutely not same as the Aramaic language. Please STOP this nonsense..and don't give our beautifull Aramaic language other names.Shlome ikore
Assyrian is not a dead language. Assyrian is the Modern Day Aramaic. Don't start saying all this when you are Aramean. Our culture is Assyrian and our language is Assyrian. Thank you..
It kinda upsets me when you Arameans keep criticizing our culture and language.
Who have tell you this nonsense? Our Syriac (language) is a Western-dialect of Aramiac that has nothing to do with the nailwriting Akkadian of the Assyrians. Hebrew & Classical Arabic are closer to Syriac than the Akkadian of Assyria (extinct). I'm happy that the most Assyrians recognize our Aramaic language.
Aramaic was the language of Jesus Christ. But this language have more dialects. The original dialect of the language of Jesus was the Classical Aramaic (Kthobonoyo). This prayer is in Eastern-Aramaic (Madenhoyo). There are some people that call this language Assyrian, but that is not true, because this language is not spoken anymore for long time ago.
@Aramean1 This is the exact language used in the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church Of The East whose Patriarch is Mar Dinka IV. What ever you name it it is the languge of my ancestors who are ASSYRIAN! Matter of fact, all of Enaanaan videos on here are the language of the Holy Apostolic Catholic Assyrian Church Of The East . We are Assyrians....SECOND ONLY TO BEING A CHILD OF GOD, OF WHICH WE ARE ALL FIRST.
Turkey changed their alphabet from arabic to latin letters but turkish people still speak Türkçe. they didnt spoke arabic and they r not speaking latin!!!!!!
The Aramaic alphabet, a modified form of Phoenician => look at Wikipedia!!!!
Cardinal Mor Ammanuel III Delly, patriarch of the Chaldean Church of Iraq and the world: "We, the Chaldeans-Assyrians-Syriacs, are one people which is called the Aramean people".
This player is in Eastern Aramaic (madenhaya). Not is Assyrian, because that language don't exist anymore. The Assyrian language is death for long time ago.
the Assyrian language is not dead.. i am Assyrian, and i speak the Assyrian language.. i just replied to u in Assyrian :) So there u have one Assyrian who speaks the language, and hence it is not dead..
Do you have a CD we can buy? I'm really interested. I want a nice assyrian prayer cd with just vocals the way you sing it. You sing the words so clearly and beautifully. God bless :)
Thank you. Unfortunatly I don't have a Cd yet. I don't have the means of recording a full CD yet hopefully one day that dream will come true. God bless you
Beautifully sung! I don't suppose you have a recording of "Hal Libba Marya" lurking about? I've been looking for an authentic version and have yet to find one.
Beautiful! Maybe Syrians should start speaking Aramaic again then there will be peace. Like the Egyptians should speak Egyptian the Lebanese Phonecian, etc.
I'm afraid that won't work. There wasn't peace when everyone spoke one language, and there wasn't peace when everyone was given different languages. God will restore to all people a purified language so that they may call upon and serve Him with one consent (Zephaniah 3:9), but only everyone surrendering to His way (rather than everyone doing what is right in his own eyes, as it is now) will bring peace!

@parsopa For the most part, this is true. However, some tribes/villages continued to use the rule even with the Urmia/Swadaya dialect.
