  • Never heard Bread (only heard "about" Bread) BUT this is a very good rock'n'roll song: he was really into it at that time! I can say that!

  • I love this song, cool voice, the changes of the tempo, piano, slap bass, guitar, lyrics... rockin and a rollin boppin and a strollin...

  • Man, this tune really swings ! And whoever was playing those hot lead guitar licks really knew thier stuff !! I really liked the guitar work in this song !!

  • David Gates is a legend!

  • Many thanks for posting.

  • You may keep the Breadjunk. David was great with this legendary stuf, THIS IS GREAT!!!!

  • this isn't the same david gates as the lead singer of bread, is it? surely he'd be too young.

  • yes is it the same singer from his early rock'n'roll years this song is from 1958...

  • wow, that's weird. now that i really listen, it's his voice. it's just SO different from bread.

  • started singing rockabilly in mid fifties...hung out with Leon Russell too (Russel Bridges) and was part of the "TULSA" sound
