So you just clean out the eyes and around the eyes with the wipes you mentioned every night for like 2 or 3 weeks, and the tearstains just stopped? Like they never came back ever in her life?

@SoAdoreblyClueless I basically have some wet eye wipes. Almost every night I wipe down her eyes and clean out any build-up. It takes about 3 minutes and after doing this for a few weeks, all her tear stains were gone and didn't come back. If I stop doing it, they come back pretty quickly so you have to do it regularly.

Got mine for $200 if you know someone with a Maltese you might get lucky but yeah, they are usually $1000-$1500 which is too bad, they are a great little dog. It's impossible to hold one without lapsing into goo-goo baby talk and looking like an idiot but I don't care our little girl deserves all the cuddling she wants

She is really quiet. She only barks if someone knocks on the front door. Other than that, she is pretty quiet.

That's something I have wondered. Mine used to bark when she was younger but now -12 happy years after :] - she doesn't... might be few times in a month.... It's kinda odd 'coz she behave as a sweet puppy :D

That is not good. I wonder if he needs more exercise. We found out early on that Cali was much less hyper if we exercised her regularly.

We got her back in early 2009. We got her from prince and princesses store in Las Vegas. I highly recommend them.

my family is thinking about a getting a maltese. we are buying a maltese puppy but really don't want one with the long flowing hair they are known for. is there a way to get short haired malteses like Cali or a certain way to groom them? the home breeder sells long haired ones but i am not sure! please answer :)

We have to give cali a hair cut every 4 - 6 weeks. The way she is groomed is called a "puppy cut". If you look at some of the other videos, you will see her hair length varies from time to time, but we almost always keep it pretty short. If you don't keep it short, it can get tangled. :(

no don't go to pet shop, they get their dogs from puppy mills, read about it.

Try a reputable breeder or shelter as a last resource.

dont go to a pet store. If you can find one at a shelter then thats good, or maybe even home breeder or something. Pet stores just sell puppies from puppy mills.
