Indeed. The guide says to use your Hammer but I used the Biggoron sword.

Really I used the Biggoron sword through the whole game. After I became Adult Link I worked to get it before I went to the Forrest Temple. Then I always always used it instead of the Master Sword. The only time it was used was the FINAL BATTLE ~after getting it back I mean~ with Ganon. :p
