@NoSz4 I had 5 strains in the end to harvest, they finished from 6wks to 11 wks...they all started flowering at the same time.

I start with two 400w MH, then switch to one 400w MH and one 360w HPS, and in the third stage switch to one 360w HPS and one 400w HPS. There are two bulbs installed in the Aerolights at all times...and they are usually quite close to the plants...but no hotspots cuz of the rotation. Also I use a few UVB bulbs, they're 20w with a 50 cm UV penetration...so, they'll cover about two square meters.

I'm gonna build a setup like that, god damn. In a few years I guess. I use a stinkin 250 cfl. First grow but i'm gonna get a hps very soon. damn the CFL suck..

I have divulged the secret to two persons who have asked...after I seen they have built it...and I only give it after I see its built, so don't ask until you build it. lol

well, they were short...I don't weigh or measure, no point for me. some of the jack herer were probably as short as 18inches/@30cm and perhaps the super silver haze was as tall as 3ft. but they were LST'd...all plants had one of 3 'shortening' techniques used on them. LST, topping and super cropping...google those techniques.

oh, sorry to you all who commented on yellow leaves...I was using two 'red spectrum' HPS bulbs, 400w and 360w...so green and red looks yellow/orange, my hand looked a sickly color from the lights...plants loved it...but I lowered the lights a little too much...too much heat...but it was the middle of winter...lots of snow out side that window!!

vegged for about 2 months...total 3 1/2-4 months from seed to harvest...I did get alot!

I live where you can't buy...so have no comparison...all is a sativa...which I love and I only vaporize...it's a different high...sativas are bouncy highs...just as I prefer...I BOUNCED for several months, lol. and made a few $ too.

its more couch locky, the sooner u pull the more bouncy. but always pull respectively. experiment pulling some earlier than others to find your preference

I had lots of problems and they are small plants, still having a yellow leaf problem. yeah, I figure most of the indica/sativa mixes will be finished 7-10days, but 3-4wks more for the SSH (strong sativa). tomorrow is the end of wk 9. I chopped the 3 largest plants just after this vid. light yield, but I don't know the weight yet...anyway, it's less than expected.

Your plants are not small, perfect dimension.

Bigger plants cant support the bud and we grow for the buds.

The yellow leafs is always a wrong into the nutrition. You grow whit different stains so its difficult to give all plant the right nutrition. The nutrition ( NPK) is difference for each stain and also the age of the plant. I think better to grow one stain in one room. I dont know your nutrition line but if you like I can help you adjust the nutritions,

yellow leaves also can just show that the plant is ready for harvest. after flushing the leaves turn yellow.

some ppl use a microscope to see the trichromes. I just go by the pistil color, bud condition and flowering time, which differs somewhat for each strain.

Cool. I never have grown indoors, too much work, too easily discovered and too harsh smoke but this loos like a successful setup.

I grew White Widow, Alaskan Ice and Original Haze this year. Nice variety of finish times and hard for the rip off bastards to realise when the crop was finished. I'm down to the Original Haze left to harvest now. Next season apart from a repeat of the White Widow I have some Hash Passion seeds I'm planning on planting.

I guess outdoor is fine if you're a light smoker or grow enough for all year since you only get one crop a year. I can do 3 crops a year and others do lots more indoors.

Light smoker? I smoke about 2 kg a year. :) I used to grow in the bush, and grew about 30 lb a year average, these days I can supply myself from a corner of my vege patch. I just grow a series of different strains, so that they are finishing over about five months from first to last, and harvest under the noses of the ripoff mongrels. We have decrim for 2 plants and I have three sets of two plants, a short a medium and a long term variety. Apart from small side projects which I run for seed.

Yes, the grow season is long in Western Australia and the winter is mild enough to grow through if you break the hours of darkness with light. Ten minutes is enough, it resets the chemical levels which trigger flowering. Security is the biggest problem, and mine are very visible to many people, since I'm in an industrial area and even the carpark behind the back fence is over looking them. Stolen last year, but this year I have electronic security and my reputation is better known in the area.

Sorry a lot of comments from me but I'm interested in your set up and also interested in passing on some experience in the outdoor scene. I may have a shot at hydro one day and something along these lines would suit.

You mention dwarves in backyard. The biggest problem with my growing this year, is the size of the plants. I've pulled them over but they are still over seven feet tall. The White Widow was an awesome plant for backyard. Short and compact (perfect sea of green) and very early.

By the way, with the White Widow, the first year I grew I I have managed to get a finished crop in four months, with late planting, and then ran a second batch, which gave me two males so I had pollen to put back on the remains of the one White Widow I got, (The second one never made it - an accident). The late female is coming along nicely and will finish in good time also. Next year with planning I can get two good crops of the WW without anything special..

I have used lights to extend the growing season and both planted early and finished late, and I did this when growing guerilla style in the bush. I used solar cell, battery and timer (which I already had in place to run a small 12 volt pump to pump water from the hidden dams) and fluorescent lights. They only had to run for ten minutes in the middle of the night, to trick them into staying in leaf. I've used covers to shorten the daylight also, making early crop, but only in the backyard.
