This is very good golf instruction but I would add that if you have a longer shaft and loft say at 8.5 degrees(driver), sometimes it helps to have a stronger grip, ie, right and left hand with V's pointed more toward your right shoulder. If your grip is too weak you will have a tendeny to have an open club face at impact.
im surprised more people havent seen this video. great stuff. I see so many golfers hitting slices without any idea why. Appleby's approach is much more about golf psychology and the unconscious mind fixing the shot for you.
Funnily enough this is was my swing thought that fixed my slice before I watched this video. If you think "right" of target, the clubhead tends to close itself and peel off straight, provided your grip and the rest of your fundamentals are correct before the transition. Probably one of main reasons why amateurs have so much problem with the slice, because the fix for it is so counter-intuitive.
