@biukucanoe thanks! haha my budget was $0 :) The most I've ever spent on a video is $8, and most of it was for food after shooting the whole day.

UVA huh? Do you think you'll be seeking venues for you talents outside of the university campus itself? Then be sure to take the Boston/Charlottesville comparison into account, that could have a huge impact for you. (I mean, *Boston*.)

@mphil1974 Yeah, I have definitely thought about that. Charlottesville does have the VA Film Festival, but that could never compare with what Boston has to offer. On the other hand, Tufts does not offer an advertising major -- if I go to UVA, I would double major with film and advertising. I got into University of Michigan as well, which would be an ideal choice, but the $42,000+ tuition does not sound enticing. I still have until next month to make my decision though.

As for inspiration, I had this idea for a stop motion since the summer. It originally was just going to be an experiment with colors and crayons, no reference to me. Then the Tufts prompt came out and I tweaked it :) I'm still probably going to remake this to fit the original idea though.

wow, this is great. i saw this on world news as well. i've been kind of obsessed with watching all the tufts applications bc even though i'm not much older than you (just graduated college last may), i'm just so impressed with how many applicants put themselves out there. you guys are really brave, because i don't think i could've done this when i was applying to schools five years ago. p.s. all your class photos came out cute. lucky girl!
