You know what's funny is that in our Evangelism Christianity, we don't believe in baptizing our infants, until they're old enough to know what's right & wrong.
ENOUGH ARGUING! Focus on the funny stuff. For instance, Archie: " I wouldn't disgrace the name of baptism by talking about it in front of an athiest!" Mike *Walks in door*: "Hi everybody." Archie: "Listen you athiest, i want that kid baptized!" You gotta admit that's pretty funny.
I used to watch this show when it came on Nick at Night but then they took it off but i found it again and i totally forgot how funny it was. Gosh i miss this show
I have to admit, Archie is right about how annoying it is to ask for permission about everything! NOT what Archie was talking about, and voting for, just in general for life.
You found Mike's parents died before this, when they talk about the wedding flash back and his uncle. Mike's parents died when he was very young in an auto accident.

This was just pure Jewish leftist propaganda of a show anyhow! Race mixing, demonizes being a house wife (feminism) Pro-Homosexual, anything Archie was against they made look evil, and the Communist pinko scumbag Meathead was made to look right! Norman Lear was a Jew so what do you expect. His shows shaped the minds of people in this country, & shows like it!
I don't know what the actual statistics are, but I've read that approximately 400,000 children A YEAR a kidnapped in the U.S. and are never found. Rarely do they cover these topics in the news. Whoever is doing the kidnapping, it has to stop.
Archie never fails to continually share his abject stupidity with one and all--"the hair of the mo"---geez.... In reality, his butt would have been kicked each and every day. Long live Archie!
In this episode, I found out why you never see Mike's parents, they're DEAD. But I bet they would have wanted Joey baptized too, because Mike was baptized but said that he renounced his baptism.
Yeah, you never find out how they died. If they were alive, I'm sure they'd be on Archie's side to have Joey baptized and frankly, I think they'd be outraged at Mike for renouncing his own baptism.
@pytko3 This is the old Religious custom there, for bringing people around. all your ancient people threw rocks untill they got axes and spears and then guns to do gods work.
Just because they had their son baptized, does not mean that they would condone forcing baptism on anyone else's child including their own son's. They might have even supported Mikes decision to renounce his baptism is that is what he really wanted.
@BlameRepublicans Yeah, I know. Micheal's parents died in a car accident when he was very young and after that, he was raised by his uncle who now works as a florist and Archie said that a florist is no job for a man.
In my opinion, the notion that a florist is not a job for a man is a very ignorant notion. I am a man and I have a lot of appreciation for flowers and plants! But I guess that everyone has a right to voice his or her opinion. This is America!
The strangest irony of this episode, as great and funny as it is, is that a lot of people sided with Archie on this issue. Yet, they somehow seemed to forget what happens when it's over. Archie looks up to God and says, "I hope that took, Lord...because...they're gonna kill me when I get home."

Oh please! I am not a parent but even I know that it is unsafe to leave your child alone on the porch. It is almost like she left a signs to all kidnappers and pedopiles "BABY HERE!!! COME AND GET HIM!!!"
A child is more likely to be killed playing football or in an equestrian accident than to be abducted. Also consider this, it's the 70s and they're in fucking Queens. That's statistics. Don't be an idiot.
@TJWhitewolf don't know where you are basing your facts, but if you read up on it most children that are kidnapped are taken by family members-this is a reason why a stranger kidnapping a child makes the news, it is unusual. Most molested children are also molested by family members and not "the guy in the park."
You know what's funny is that in our Evangelism Christianity, we don't believe in baptizing our infants, until they're old enough to know what's right & wrong.

Archie had some great lines in this episode lol.
"You can pray so much to God and it stops being praying it becomes nagging"
"You got to use force , it's the Christian way"
"The hell with poor my head hurts!"
To Rev. Chong - "We want a Christian baptism, it can't have any dragons or fireworks or anything like that."

most kidnapped children are kidnapped by parents in divorce situations. Few are kidnapped by pedophiles.
Srd1126 2 years ago 11
@Srd1126 That's simply not true. Most children who are kidnapped are never heard from or seen again.

Throwing rocks is an age-old religious custom. Hence, 'You are Peter, the rock upon which I build my church.'
DiAnno13 3 years ago 2
@DiAnno13 Actually the "rock" is Jesus and he is the rock of the Church as well as the head.
The scripture you referenced, that has nothing to do with religious custom.
