I think of a geek as someone who obsessively creates things that take a lot of technical knowledge. If you built a computer out of basic chips and bread boards, or built a catapult because you thought it was cool. If you spent long hours learning DnD rules so you could break the system, or tried your best for days to solve an unsolvable math problem. Then I think you are a geek. Most people are boring, they just want to hang out and be with other people. They don't actually do anything.

There is about a 600%+ markup on the materials that they pay for and then put together (In a way that makes it difficult or impossible for anyone to modify) just to make money. But people (See: Trendy Idiots) spend the money because it's "More expensive, and therefore better." The Mac may be better than other computers, but as a person who has to deal with Mac related software issues all day, I can tell you they break down too easily.

@DragonAge2k Not sure why you think that. It's built on unix and most programming languages run flawlessly except for a few languages (mostly M$ .net) - Apart from that, it's great for programming. If you bootcamp and run Windows 7 then it's be best merge of hardware + software. Dell, hp and the rest have nothing on apple in terms of hardware and design.  Won't use it if it couldn't run windows though... :)
