I used the typewriter plugin from image lounge, keyframed where the letters are typed, and then dragged the keyframes to match the sound. This isn't a tutorial. This video, along with most of my videos, are used to show directors examples of ideas before creating a final product. If you google "after effects typewriter tutorial" you should get some very helpful links. Of all the ways to make a typewriter effect I think the image lounge plugin is the easiest.
