my first love was hurtful, but the one i'm with (my 2nd one) makes me forget my first. He is sooo amazing but sadly we are in a long distance relationship (states away). We are young but age does not hinder us from feeling the way that we do. Long distance tend to make you more emotionally attached to the person since there's communication and lots of it.
I'm in a long distance relationship too... Veeery long though. Different countries, with the huge Atlantic ocean between us. I spent a year studying in Italy and we've met there.

Also I always have to point out that if you manage the stress and unique trials that come up from a long distance relationship and survive them.... then you've made it the majority of the way toward a successful relationship! Because the key to long-distance is communication... something more relationships lack. So you actually have a leg UP on them.
Just make sure you have an absolute plan on how you two will eventually be in the same place.

Since we cannot physically show what we're feeling as much as we would like to in a long distance relationship, I think it forces us to build a stronger, often much more articulate communication with eachother as we try to tell the person we love and miss exactly how we feel. I think it can develop a unique form of interaction that will last, even when it is no longer a love divided by distance.

Love is just a word. If you take it to represent the feeling you get around a "loved" one, or merely the relationship with the person you are "in love" with doesn't strike me as relevant. Since "love" is ambiguous and subjective, to some sex MAY be part of love, and what it represents on an emotional level might be very important to love. Perhaps one might enjoy sex simply because it's an opportunity to experience catharsis with someone who is important to them, if that makes any sense

Love is the connection between to human beings, because it is natural for us to be dependent. Nobody can determine whether that love will be immediate or take time. I was in a 2 year long distance relationship with my first love. He lived in California, I live in Massachusetts. It makes me laugh when people say relationships need physical parts to it. Eventually it gets hard but you know what? I lasted 2 years with a boy I never even met. i loved a girl name rose a few years ago, and like you it was long distance and there were times i wasnt even able to talk or see her or anything, but that only made the moments we had stronger and more deep. I was only about 15 and she told me that she was considering marriage.. eventualy we broke up, few years passed, were talking more agian and i love her agian becuz she always seems to have that secret hold on me.. interesting to see how time can pass and dont feelings didnt turn bitter.

my first love was hurtful, but the one i'm with (my 2nd one) makes me forget my first. He is sooo amazing but sadly we are in a long distance relationship (states away). We are young but age does not hinder us from feeling the way that we do. Long distance tend to make you more emotionally attached to the person since there's communication and lots of it.

I'm in a long distance relationship too... Veeery long though. Different countries, with the huge Atlantic ocean between us. I spent a year studying in Italy and we've met there.
Now I'm back to my country. It's gonna be hard, but I know we'll see each other again cause he's my soul mate. We have plans together, the same hopes and fears... And we'll fight the world (almost literally) to stick together.

Also I always have to point out that if you manage the stress and unique trials that come up from a long distance relationship and survive them.... then you've made it the majority of the way toward a successful relationship! Because the key to long-distance is communication... something more relationships lack. So you actually have a leg UP on them.
Just make sure you have an absolute plan on how you two will eventually be in the same place.

Since we cannot physically show what we're feeling as much as we would like to in a long distance relationship, I think it forces us to build a stronger, often much more articulate communication with eachother as we try to tell the person we love and miss exactly how we feel. I think it can develop a unique form of interaction that will last, even when it is no longer a love divided by distance.
