  • 3:10 bitch wants it

  • Saw this movie for the first time about 25 years ago. It scared the crap out of me, with the gouged eyes scenes. I saw it again recently and it's a pretty goofy giallo. The eyeball effects aren't too realistic and the soundtrack seems out of place in a horror film. But it's 35 years old so I'll give it some slack.

  • i love the soundtrack in this movie

count how many giallo/other soundtracks use frere jacque? quite a lot i think!!!!

  • I'm not an avid giallo completist, but I've seen at least 20, and I don't recall hearing Frere Jacques in any of them other than this one. Surely it's been used in other film genres but I don't remember hearing it used. I just don't feel it's a very scare-inducing theme, no matter what way it's presented. As for the rest of the soundtrack (especially in the opening), it sounds like I walked into a department store.

  • i think the other giallo i remember -might- be perfume of the lady in black, but i'd have to doublecheck. definitely something i've seen recently

also disney's tv movie "child of glass" has a frere jacques title theme that is ace

i'm going to have to make a compilation vid i think of all these themes

  • Good luck on that, allofthetrash.

Just an observation.. that apron the brunette is wearing is the ugliest thing I have seen in my life. Retch!

  • Hey trash,

One kinda icky scene I did like from this film was the ending, with the doctor running into the room where his eyeless daughter (I think) was, and a loving closeup focused on a worm twisting inside the socket.. yummy!

Can you put up a clip of the ending?

  • i try to avoid posting spoilers / endings to movies

  • I understand. Though if it were limited to the last thirty seconds it might still not have been obvious.. maybe not; I don't entirely remember the exact ending. Thanks anyway though!

  • @crazyclimber80 In the film Pupper Master 1989 they used a similar style Frere Jacques music but it wasn't as effective as with this film.

  • @upforagoodtime I haven't seen Puppet Master in forever so I don't remember the soundtrack. I remember the movie not being as good as it should be.

  • uuuuuoooouu the Killing of the pig

I remenber it, it was a tradition in catalonia when i was a child, in my litlle village it was a day of parties and enjoiing with the family. but nowadays this tradition has lost, but in balearic islands it keeps.

  • ah that rendition of frere jacques

  • OH YES!!! the last few seconds!!!!!
