It is so true. I work in an animal shelter and every time we are happy that animals are adopted, a new nest of puppies or kittens are found on the street and brought in. I have at the moment 3 kittens of 15 days old, mother being poisoned and 2 of her kittens died. I have to bottle feed them every 3 hours, day and night, so my alarm clock is set at 3 am and 6 am after doing the last feed at 12 mn. I have now 5 cats, all found on the street as kittens, and one dog. PLease neuter your pets.

i agree that most shelters arnt good at all, but there are great shelters out there i volunteer at North Utah Valley animal shelter, it is sadly a human put-down clinic but by donating to them it allows them to be able to keep the animals until tey get a good home. They have very clean kennels for their animals and volunteers like me come in and walk the days everyday as well and grooming the cats and giving them the love they deserve

Though I support shelter animals, I intend to become a Scottish Terrier breeder when I grow up. But I will breed for show. I also intend to become a veterinarian.
They put the animals down so they don't have to suffer homeless, sick, starving on the streets. Theres not enough room in shelters to keep them all and if we did there would be an even lower adoption rate then there already is. Cats have lower adoption rates than dogs. Every year 2-3 million animals are PTS, it's the fault of people who don't S&N. Go work in a shelter before you discriminate. Watch the animals waste away homeless. Then watch them go peacefully and no longer have to suffer.

Sadly, there is a huge over population problem and only 1 out of every 10 dogs will make it out to find a family and therefore the other 9 will be put to sleep. :/ This means only 10 dogs out of 100 will find a home. This video was towards people who don't fix their pets and let them breed. With that 1 in 10 dogs finding a home from a shelter, only 1 in 10 puppies will be rehomed with a family who keeps them for life when they take them home out of a litter. Euth Techs don't enjoy their jobs.

Animal Shelter Should be changed to the true definition, ANIMAL SLAUGHTER HOUSE. Animal control employees and Euthanasia techs are the LOWEST FORM OF LIFE ON THE PLANET. Killing for pay, how sickening. They need to be held accountable for their daily murders. I can't see how any reasonable person could kill innocent loving animals. I think it is very sad. and we need to speak up to the ones who have no voice to talk . animals can't tell us what they feel, we must speak for them we must find a way to start real humane socitys who all ways have what they need when they need it, to have warm rooms in the winter and cool romms in the summer. they should never run out of food. they should never be killed no matter what the reason is. they should live like we would live in beautiful rooms filld with toys and the softest bedding.

wow, yeah it's sad that people have to abandon there pets just because of a few undesired traits. two of my dogs we have rescued. one, his mom was thrown into a busy intersection just because she mated with a chow. she was a breeding dog and the jerk threw her away. we saved a pit bull and the animal shelter wouldn't take her. just because she was a pit bull. we saved another one and we're keeping this one. SAVE THE ANIMALS!

I've got 4 cats - Sampson, Justice, Charcoal and Chicklets ALL ADOPTED all older and unwanted by others. They are wonderful members of our family and will continue to be for the rest of their days. PETS ARE NOT DISPOSABLE, they are forever friends.
It's sad that they are put down but if we tried to save them all there would be oh so more animals on the streets than there are now because animals who have been in there for months and even years would be taking up a cage. A shelter can only do so much when running off nothing more than donations.If people would spay and neuter and not have "just one litter" there wouldn't be so many animals being put down all the time.
Shelter pets are wonderful. I hate it when they put them to sleep,because they couldnt find a home. They dont let the dogs stay long enough in the shelter, if they did theres a chance they could have had a nice home.
