@nulisticONE I personally don't like liners very much. I have experienced tiny peeling scales with liners. They are just cosmetic and don't increase the scale adhesion to the tang. Bark River handle thickness differs piece by piece regardless that it has liners or not. It must be contoured after assembling. Thanks.
Wako, I think the balance of the 3V might be affected by the swedge on the blade. It lightens the blade and might have shifted balance point and made it slightly more handle heavy instead of Bravo 50/50. Just my opinion when watching your video.
@virtuovice I didn't think u will too. Most great knives are not balanced 50-50 too. And most bushcraft knives are also handle heavy. I hope u will have fun with this new knife :)
@virtuovice Wako, just recently I received my new Bravo 1 in CPM 3V with the same handles and a regular blade shape without the swedge. The knife is still handle heavy, so it must be due to the micarta, not the swedge grinds.
I am eagerly waiting for the video with your report on long term 3v steel testing, its edge holding and sharpening ability. Love your channel!
The more I watch your videos, the more I feel that the Japanese people are running into the same opressive government regulation present in Europe. Don't feel to bad, It's coming to the U.S as well.

@SlinkingTiger Selling an inferior product at premium prices is something to be ashamed of... it shows no respect for your customers. It's hardly surprising that the customers then show no respect to the vendor.
I can't believe they sent you that lousy sheath with that expensive knife. Maybe they sold the company to someone. I love the knife though. I love the color. Ir is the most perfect knife for skinning, yet. I can't wait to see your durability test. Thank you for sharing. I won't be buying any Bark River products until I see the new sheath an the durability test results. The edge sharpness was phenomenol.
Congrats with your new Bravo I got mine in 3v from DLT as well (field version, drop point and full height grind with lignum vitae handles). I will be a minority here But I actually like the new sheath better than the old version (btw mine has plastic pin cover on the inside) because it is less bulky and lighter.
Disappointing to see Sharpshooter cutting corners with its sheaths. I stopped liking the company and vowed to never buy a single thing from Sharpshooter after witnessing the owner, Reid, be extremely rude to people on Knifeforums many times over the past couple of years.
If the customs office sees the declaration is over $200 and they charge a tax on anything over $200, that is fine if it is their prerogative, but why do they physically need to open the package? Unless they just want to see your stuff?
haha.. the pin exposed.. I remember him saying once that EVERY sheath uses covered rivets inside because that seperates the Quality Sheathmaker like him from the Cheap (other) brands.. seems like they are trying to save money in areas people dont see.
@VengeanceIV My girl was arranging her pencils just in front of me. I made this video during the rest time in our English class at home. We are sorry.
Great looking knife, beautiful fit and finish. It seems the sheath has been made to a price which is sad when supplied with such a knife. Thanks for the video Wako.
@Romanlegionnaire77 I sold my previous one in the domestic auction where it made good money. But I was not able to forget its warm color in cold winter. Thanks.
@reeeci So to say the Field knife seems to have jimping on its spine. I personally don't like it. They sell regular rampless Bravo1 too. It has no jimping. If you don't find it, the stocking dealers provide the ramp removal service for around $15. It must be very beautifully done as if it was rampless from the first. Thanks.
The design Sheath is TERRIBLE for such an expensive knife. Bark River should be ashamed of that and so should their dealers for selling such crap! I have a $50 KABAR USMC knife with a better designed sheath! Reid Heikken, the owner of Sharpshooter systems who builds those sheaths should be ASHAMED of himself for making such a FLIMSY and WEAK loop design! Virtuovice was being VERY polite in his review. It SUCKS. IMHO Bark river needs to GET A NEW SHEATH MAKER!!!!!!!!
@handsomewood1 Former sheath coming with a wood handled Bravo1 was great as you see in this video. But the new sheath has very poor connection between the belt loop and the sheath body. Honestly speaking it seems easy to rotate or turn over. I am a bit nervous about it and ordered the good one for $56. Thanks.
@virtuovice I think their goal must be for that sheath to wear out fast and have you order the very expensive sheath. $56 for a mass produced sheath. There are some great sheath makers in US that charge that much for full handmade.
@virtuovice Where did you order the good sheath from? Your knife reviews continue to be excellent, Wako...thank you very much for continuing to show us the range of good non-custom fixed blades!
@mrmonkeyman50 From KnivesShipFree. But other stocking dealers like DLT Trading, Crystal Falls Trading, or The-Knife-Connection will have the same ones in 2 colors or EEP waterproof. Thanks.
Hey,The new Bravo 1 is a good looking knife but for that much money I would expect a much better sheath. The sheath looks to flimsy and the way it falls over is not good. The handle is really nice though and I think it would be a good hunting knife.I await your hunting test.
Do you like it with or without liners better?
Does the liners make it to thick for comfort in your opinion?
