  • throw a 12v cummins in big dirty and video it you will get 1 billion views + or -1, plus it will chooch like a sumbictch. yeahh anyone who would own a 6.0 would chooch a breedin antler..

  • I would be having myself a powerSTROKE if this happened to my truck lol

  • allways stay between 96 and 2011 fords never buy a 6.0l they suck serious dick 7.3l are alot better 87-2001 is the year when the 7.3l were discontinued

  • @TheRedneckCowboys Alright Mr. guy who thinks he knows shit. The 6.0 was not a piece of shit. Most of the ones that had problems were the ones that were chipped and had the piss beat out of them. If you put head studs, upgraded gaskets, an egr delete, and a upgraded oil cooler they are a hell of an engine. Also the 7.3 went until early 03....get your facts right!

  • @TheRedneckCowboys 7.3 Powerstroke was 95-03, 88-93 was the 7.3 IDI, 1994 was a junk Turbo IDI that was only produced 1 year. The 6.0L in 2003-mid 04 has the bulk of the problems, 05-07 6.0L trucks have less warranty claims than the 7.3 ever did, yes they like to chooch headgaskets, but bulletproof it once and they will run circles around any 7.3, Duramax or Cummins of era and go long ways. Boss has an 07 Lariat with 320km untouched. I work on diesels daily and the 6.0 is a great motor...

  • @TheRedneckCowboys lol you know nothing about ford diesels do you?

  • a little TPB's action i here

    awesome

  • Isn't there a petcock of some sort on the block so you don't have to dump coolant into the cylinders when you pull the heads off?

  • @grasscutter88 There is a drain plug on each head so yes that could have been avoided.

  • Damn Pug, you got some balls for attempting this job, eigh. Little bit of a job, head gaskets can be. Sheesh.

  • all in a days work of a ford certified diesel tech.......i dont take the cab off 6.0's only 6.4's

  • @elkangri209 Well we all can't be like those "Ford Diesel Techs"

  • Oh dear god. I was considering an 06' or 07' powerstroke. Forget it.

  • is it just me or does it look like pyg lost a weight?

  • That sucks pug that you did that big job putting the bigger turbo unit in and now rip her all apart again. I am looking foward to hearing the train horns though.

  • Chevy Colorado 5 cyl is the same sh*t

  • that water for the cooling buddy gee just looks that way

  • The 6.0 is a good motor but some aren't as good as others. Once you do the solution kit your good.

  • @8300JohnDeere what?? lol

  • @Silverado2010s Well some 6.0's are fine and some aren't. But the ones that aren't very good need the solution kit. Once you do the solution kit the truck will be fine.

  • sound like you go a cold pug.

  • Great vid Chris. dont forget the ratchet wrench on the running boards. lol. That is some Muther f*****g power train. Gives u a new perspective when driving it now.

    John, Guelph. Ont.

  • where's BAM? is he poodle pumpin?

  • was i the only one to have ta piss after 3:50? sorry, i'm a DDF, pologise......

  • @regjoe30,@ 12:02, balls deep now....

  • @regjoe30 i did at bout 1:30 lls

  • @1puglife Yeah those ARP head studs work out to be about $25 dollars a piece (american) Thats pretty damned expensive eh. And you gotta torque those bad boys down to TWO HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE FOOT POUNDS!!! HOLLY!! I gurantee you at 245 ft lbs the damned head gaskets aint gonna ever be a problem

  • Comment removed

  • Do you have to move the cab to put on head gasket? My god!

  • lol he also poured oil in the cylinder which is unecessary if you know what ur doin

evac the fluid with a sucker and blow them with the air blower and ur good

  • @The85GTMustang i thought you had to coat the walls with oil otherwise rust will form water or no water

  • @DrinkBeer00 nah it will be good if you just blow it with an air blower

  • lol pugs pretty good but you can tell he aint the best because he dosnt even have disconnect tools for the fuel lines

  • awesome & informative video pug.

  • wow all this for the head gasket holy

  • can u do a vid of them hornblasters install please? thanks

  • more little sons of bitches and mother fuckes lol

  • buy a cummins nextime

  • looks like a big job bro....wish i was there o help ya out but im there in spirit

  • Hooly there seems to be alot of goofs around the comment box eyy?

    Just saying just saying!

  • After watching your videos I'm happy to discover that I'm not the only one working on a Ford on an almost daily basis.

  • your a hero chris

  • frig buddy ur motor is just a goof put a 7.3 in

  • Great vid pug

  • To the 5 people that thumbs down this wicked vid, YOUR GOOFS and no i dont apologize!!!!

  • Pug what king of tires you have on that rig?

  • You sound nervous, Pug. You've got your Ford tech buddy, a shop manual, plenty of tools, and best of all from what I can tell Gingy and Pants are nowhere in sight. You'll have Big Dirty back up to maximum awesomeness in no time!

  • i cannot believe how much of a bitch this engine is. I usually like fords but what were they thinking?

  • Should put a lift on her while shes torn apart

  • I have seen way too many of those things apart like that for head gaskets.. Just be glad it's not a 6.4L...

  • i agre the new page sucks ass some one must ben smoken dope wen they made this

  • Smelly things are glow plugs haha n yes expensive

  • Aw buddy head gasket repairs make me nervous. I pologize pologize .

    Get er done ehhh

  • @teseract I'd just stay away from the 6.0 Diesel

  • @teseract this video shouldnt tell you anything because the 6.0 is a piece of shit and all ford owners know it

if you have a 7.3 turbo then it might be the best truck you have ever driven

  • @teseract It's not the truck, it's the crappy 6.0L "Powerjoke" Ford cheaply made. 7.3L is what you want.

  • @teseract Search duramax chevy problems and see how many videos you find. 6.0 liter is very easy to work on.

  • @teseract lol they're not all like this, the newer trucks are nice trucks but they suck ass to work on and the 6.0L is notorious for problems, but the old body style trucks with the 7.3L are some of the best trucks you could ever own.

  • Pug are you paying Logie and Bam to help you out?

  • This versus ball joint repairs? I'll take the Cummins.

  • @7477238 why so you have an engine that pukes oil out and have to pull the motor to fix it our local machanic has 4 dodges with the cummins in them and they all have the same problem puking oil out the rear main seal

  • id rather do ball joints any day.

  • she dinked big time eh bud, aw shit, son of a bitch!

  • PUG do a body lift while the body is off it will look sweet and you can get some bigger tires and make big dirty even more awesome!

  • @compaqeo body lifts cause way to much problems such as the steering gets in a bind and a bunch other stuff they are cheap but cause lots of problems

  • @jerryhowell9 Depends on vehicle i guess, Ive had 0 issues with my 84 ford ranger 2" BL its uses a steering box (not sure about big dirty's setup) and has no bind with the extension in the linkage.

  • @compaqeo oh well i thought you ment without a linkage you got a vid of your ranger id like to see what one looks like with a body lift

  • man oh man big dirty better pologize to you after all this!! you know have a stinky pinky pug!

  • You should have done a body lift on it while you had gotten into the whole mess. only cost 250$ bucks for it

  • @IceMistEclipse body lifts cause way to much problems such as the steering gets in a bind and a bunch other stuff they are cheap but cause lots of problems

  • Way she goes

  • your best friend during a tear down is going to be large ziplock bags, pull out all the bolts and label the bags.

and what the stink. you had to remove the entire cab to replace a headgasket? now i see why so many people just stick to using SBC's in just about any vehicle.

  • is he sick or somethin whyd he pass out whats with the voice

  • @TruckFavourites he passed out cause of the sight of his truck dildo. lol

  • @TruckFavourites Looks like he is. Looks like he's lost a ton of weight. Pologize if i'm accusin' wrong, pug.

  • man doin all this you should do an egr delete while your at it. I kno you just fixed that shit but get rid of it. thats one of the main problems with these damn things. check out powerstroke help aswell. that guy only deals with these things and knows how to make em last

  • Hey pug, where are you getting your heads machined? were they expensive? i need to get a 4cyl 2L head done and ive heard horror story's of machine shops in and around London any help would be awesome thanks!

  • hey while the cabs off swap out that powerstroke and get a real motor like a cummin's

  • buy a dodge and you'll only have to fix balljoints and dont have to mess with all the dinkness that pug showed

  • Pug, Nice to have some buddies at the Ford Dealership give ya a hand with this bro. don't worry man, it has been a know problem with the 6 ltr. sense they came out. But look at it this way, hopefully you have caught this problem in time that it hasn't really don't too much damage to the rest of the motor.

Good luck with the restoration of Big Dirty, Hims getting some lovins from ya, so its all good bro.

  • pug all you gotta do is get a wite beard now haha got the santa suit.

  • i would put a suspension lift in if any im not a big fan of body lifts and why would you want to lift it anyway then you need to get bigger tires witch fucks up your brakes its high enough as is i would just leave it

  • nice vid pug might as well put a 3inch body antler lift while ya got her off

  • did you really pass out?

  • you should change the brush less muffler bearing well you got the cab off

  • can't wait for part 2!

  • pug you look like you lost a ton of weight

  • @northerndipper yea it does, he does look a bit smaller than he used to be.

  • Pug . . . This is awesome! Pulling the body from the frame will give you the best opportunity to perform the “might as well” maintenance that would be rather daunting with it in place. Good Luck!

  • I hope you check the ball joints while your in there lol. I hope I never have to work on one of them, I think I'd puke. Way to much to take off. I hope it went back together for you ok.

  • pistons look great ! Steam Cleaned I would figure

  • 2000 view,,what do i win? polize

  • @mrbreeze732 A Ford with 6.0...lol

  • chevys suck.

  • i bet changing that turbo would be easy now

  • hey bud, just weld on some peices of angle iron and that would be a redneck body lift kit

  • Put some better insulation in the cab floor when u put it back together, also put some anti seize on those cab bolts cause ur going to need to do it again down the road. pologize !!

  • easier to pull the dog house off,and fix it that way?

  • @gayimgay106 i guess thats why ur name is gayimgay106

  • Those heads probably have more cracks than Grand Canyon...

  • oh no Big Dirty is Dinked :( *cry* but lol when you were lifting the cab i thought Dirty would look Badass Jacked up that high :P that make them dodge POS scared even more YEA CHOOCH IT

  • Holly shit bro that head gasket was like an inch thick.

  • sorry to hear about big dirty i hope he gets well soon. i know its hard when a family member ill. best wishes and may big dirty get well soon.

  • looks like my old f150 i tore apart for the tranny that was the funest day we had taking the cab off with the skidloader cause we also tipped the skidloader over with just the cab. have fun pug.

  • I would have scraped that turd! hell you to always be working on it. Get a Chevy.

  • time for a body lift bud!

  • BODY LIFT BODY LIFT . nows the time :-)

  • Pug, I know you did the EGR delete but bulletproofdiesel has an article claiming the stock oil cooler can be the cause of the 6.0 headgasket issues. Maybe you should replace the stock one while you've got the whole thing in pieces. (unless you already have) pologize

  • God that looks so hard!

  • @fredPods thats what she said.

  • Thats a huge hassle. Buy a chevy hd next time.lol.. But big dirty is a awesome truck.

  • Smart idea writing a check list. Could ya make a video on how well organized that keeps the repair? I always forget something when doing long repairs and haven't found a way to remember everything yet. Chooch it buddy..

  • @gayimgay106 now if chevy made everything else around there engine stay togeather we would be ok with that

  • this vid friggin rules

  • It would drive me crazy to work with a watch on.

  • Great vid Pug! It looks like your coolant was strait water! Did ya recently flush it? Or was it just water?

  • big job, what would ford charge for a job like that.

  • @quincyoil A LOT

  • @quincyoil I have seen prices online from $2500 to $4000 plus. All I know is thats something I wouldn't want to have happen

  • should get he heads ported as long as u have it apart

  • Ford = First On Recall Day

  • @gayimgay106 I agree! My father has two Chevy Silverado's one with with 657,000 miles, and the other with 281,000. Still running like brand new!

  • You are THE MAN,I couldn't do that to my truck I would fall over for sure bud. You take your time and clean everything up so you don't have to do this again. YEAH!!!

  • @gayimgay106 And if we own a ford, make sure its at least a 7.3 not a six point blow.

  • Pug, how much would you charge for a job like this???? a lot of pain in the ass to me.

  • RUTNEY, WE HAVE LIFTOFF!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "ive already passed out and bumped my head once" SONOVABITCH! id be on the ground cold. Ol big dirty is just dicked.

  • Way to go guys. Thats a major under taking, but ya got the right tools for the job.

  • id pass out too if that were my truck

  • holy fuck

  • those clutch fans are a pain in the ball bag without power tools

  • get a dodge then you don't have to takeoff the cab to work on it,,

  • @cluescrollvids Too bad the motor weighs as much as the cab anyway.

  • @cluescrollvids get a chevy, then you dont have to work on it

  • @hvacbuck I do drive a chevy, i`m just saying from reviews and local talk from my farm buddies, Dodges are easier to work on when this sort of stuff happens

  • @cluescrollvids HAHAHAHA a dodge yeah right...

  • @cluescrollvids The ball joints will fly out

  • @Chris07860 550k miles still running the same motor

  • @cluescrollvids

Ya but your always replacing ball joints bro sheesh!

  • @wolfpackaudio 550k miles still running the same motor.

  • @cluescrollvids a dodge would be worse if you wont a good truck get a Chevy ya gm all the way buddy

  • @lilbiGpena Yeah until you start having electrical issues, thats GM's biggest downfall.

  • @adiosk8r91 hey its better then what pug hast to do lol .. ya my dad has over 300kkk on his Chevy truck and the only thing he had to Chang was the trany he gone threw 2 of them ma-chickens lol
