I had a weird dream last night that I got onto this coaster while it was loading, because I had waited in line for a while. Then they started the coaster while I was only halfway in the car. No one seemed to care. Then I had to walk up the catwalks to survive.

I've got a really terrible fear of rollercoasters w/ loops. I'll be in Vegas in a week and have decided to ride this coaster while I'm there...is this a good choice for a first coaster with loops? I've read it's rough, which I don't mind that much, it really just the loop/big drops that scare me.

@xxbuffyroxmysoxx Big drops are the ones you should be scared of, but the Manhatten Express does NOT have big drops. Loops are nothing, it just makes pressure harder on you (it doesn't feel bad, don't worry) but loops/corkscrews are not scary. I find the Adventuredome roller coaster easier to start on, since the Manhattan Express's corkscrew-into-half loop is pretty scary. Meanwhile, the Adventuredome's corkscrews aren't that bad. Hope this helped!

I'm blown away at how crude and rough this ride seems. That's pretty bad if you can tell it's overly rough by watching the ride on film. The train just seems to slam hard when beginning the chain lift and also halfway through the second inversion, when it starts to curve down. Well, that's what they get for going with one of the shitty roller coaster developers like TOGO and not one of the good ones like B&M or Intamin.

I went on this ride about a year ago during spring break in 2009. This stands as one of my favorite rollercoasters ever and you can see a ton on the strip like the MGM Grand and the giant M&M picture. I think this ride was fun but for $14.99 per person per ride and $7.00 for rerides, I only went on once. But, I went on at 11:00 at night :D.

i went to las Vegas spring break and i went on this and it was fun... except for the few head bangers... but i actually was able to ride one of the new trains. Earlier they were testing it and someone asked them why they weren't loading it they said its because its a new train and they need to do a certain amount of test runs... that train was loading later that day and i was able to ride in it! WOO! lol!

i remember going on this during summer of '09. after my first ride, i had a major headache, but i did it again (all day ride pass :D). then after the second ride, i had an even worse headache. but stupidily, i went on it a third time. after that, i said to my dad "ok. im done. now hold me up as we walk."

btw, they really should take some time and refurb this old beast and make it a whole lot smoother...
