To further clarify, the reason many EPA stoves do not get that hot on top of the stove is because of their design. The Secondary Combustion takes place below the baffles, the firebox is designed to get very hot to burn the particulate that normally escapes up the chimney along with the heat. EPA Woodstove's are designed not to allow that heat up the chimney but convert it into useful BTU s to heat your home. Therefore the tops of most stoves will only see 400 plus degrees on high,
Yes, the Free Breeze Fan starts at about 350 degrees and runs up to about 600.
Few EPA stoves today will produce those kinds of temps on low to medium, some will not get hot enough on high. So they do not work well with EPA stoves. Even some cookstoves do not seem to get hot enough (at normal operating temps) to run the Free Breeze Fan.
I have personally found that the Free Breeze works far better on an ESSE Ironheart than a Kitchen Queen, because of the cast iron cooktop.
Nice! I like all of them, but in particular the stirling one. Does it need large amount of usefull heat to work? I'm asking just because you said that this engine fan works well with high temp stoves. Tkx
It did not work well as my stove does not run that hot to keep it turning. The KQ puts out lots of heat at a lower stove top temperature. So my advice with this fan is check the stove top temps first. If your running constantly at over 400 degrees, that the Free Breeze is a good choice. For the KQs the Eco Fan is a better choice. You can purchase 3 ECO's for the price of one Free Breeze. 3 ECO Fans will move about as much air as one Free Breeze.
Can i buy the old ecofan blade?

I tried it out on my Kitchen queen first.
