Political correctness aside, anyone who leaves a dog that big with a baby is a moron. Take some responsibility. Even if there is only a 1% chance that it would bite, theres still a chance. So irresponsible. Its an animal!
pretty idiotic letting ur rotweiler think he/she can growl at u for going near your own child, u don't need to exploit the fact it will protect the child because it will in a real situation were someone goes for your child (not that, thats likely to happen) it will! but ur just endangering urself when u should be saying "NO BAD DOG" when it growls when u go near ur own child.
"There was this... space! And there was a building or something with flames coming out of it, and there were creatures writhing around, and they were growling and snarling. And there were flames, and I heard a voice say "Zuul"! It was right here". Better get that dog back in the fridge man!
I own a Rottweiler and I have had dogs all my life, Sorry but you're asking for trouble by teasing your dog like that and the sad thing is your baby will be the one hurt. By all means, if you want to "play" with your dog like that then fine, but please don't risk your babies safety by putting him/her in the middle of it.
it´s not about the baby. it´s the way you move towards the dog. dogs notice unnatural movements like "slowly gettin near his throat" as seen in the video. if it had not been the owner doing it - the rottie would have attacked by 100%. anyways - the way you trained your dog is considered "unsocialized". some day he will attack you due to your own incompetence. when (I´m not even saying "if") it happens people will say "typical fighting dog with natural aggressions" as usual. dumb human beings
I'm sure it's a loving dog but it is giving warning signs that it might bite. It's a pretty big risk to have an infant that close to a dog that's getting upset like that. I would keep the baby a safe distance away at least until the child get's bigger.

@BreakNSmash YO MAN FUCK YOU PIT BULLS ARE FUCKING AWSOME. you're pathetic you dumb fucking twat. and the reason thy obey is somewhat based on fear. If a dog steps out of line the alpha puts them in their place.
From what i see the dog has been trained to just growl when people reach for baby. Dog never tried to attack anyone. just growl. person still was touching him and baby and nothing happened
lot of ppl are stupid, if a dog is growling at the owner when it's around the baby it means the dog is the king of the house, he will attack the owner thinking the baby as his own.
ok now, what about the dogs body language tells you it is playing? When dogs play they want to play, they want to keep going yeah? If the dog were really playing it would be alot more energetic. I wouldn't stick my face up to her like that when she's guarding the baby. I have Pits. or Staffies and one is a cross and she talks and talks and makes noises, if she was guarding a baby and was looking serious, I'd exercise discretion and probably not be sticking my face in hers, just for safety.

@IdarkphoenixI I'm so glad someone said something, haha. I'm reading through the comments and seeing a bunch of people saying "wow, control your dog" or "that dog will bite someone one day." They've clearly never owned a dog like this!
I have a GSD. They're extremely protective, and my dog in particular gets growly like this when it comes to the small dogs in the family (toy poodles and the like). She always wants to protect them, and they love her!
@leffehoegaarden When did I say the dog was playing? Please, point out the part of my post where I said, or even implied, that the dog was playing.
I didn't say that. I said they're very protective, and my implication was that a dog being protective is not something to be up in arms about. Part of being a good owner is making sure that despite your dog's territorial nature, you still have control - I didn't see him nip or try to bite the owner, so this situation's fine.
What the hells wrong with you ..rottie owners should never promote this behavior ...this shows that you are a bad owner....and iChat you had your head in your ass with this so called funny trick!,!!,

I have a 4 year old Rott /Gorden Setter mix (rescue dog) and he is naturally protective of me and my family. He has NEVER showed aggression toward me or my family. Doesn't like the mailman but hey... Being part Rott he does make a "purring" growl when being groomed or playing BUT NEVER a growl like that. He knows that I am the "alpha male" in the house and has never challenged that. I think you may be asking for trouble somewhere down the road... Hope I'm wrong....
this is not funny please protect your baby from this dog it is only a matter of time until the dog snaps at the kid or your wife and you will have to live with it for the rest of your life be smart
and you left out the part where the dog does attacks him with a superman punch like the family guy episode where peter and his fam moves into a hillbilly home and a racoon pops out the fridge and attacks him in light speed.
Had a doberman for 12 years, would never growl at us, had a Rottweiler for 3 1/2. mine will do the same thing if he wants to intimidate someone, its just how they are i believe, like they say about rotts, they are so smart that will ask themselves why should i do what he wants so they will try to scare you if they dont feel like listening, i like it as long as my dog listens when i mean it which he does.
Let me ask you a question. When this dog eventually bites you, or none intentionaly bites the child attempting to bite you, who does the fault land on? Will the dog be blamed and then put to sleep?
You see the dog isn't playing a game or having a good time. In the dogs mind that is it's baby and it's warning you not to mess with it. Now you make a game of it and think it's so cute. Well eventually someone will have to really pick that baby up and maybe that day the dog isn't gonna allow it.
@necronamicon You need to chill out. Clearly you've never owned a dog because actually in the dogs mind it's playing. My dog does this with everything and he has never bitten me. Shit, there doesn't even need to be something there but if I make it look as if I'm going to grab it he growls, shows his teeth and looks mean but never does anything else.
@WLYBEE no sir you are wrong. I currently have a 8 yr old pit. I have helped run a personal pitbull and dog rescure "with over 20 animals in my own home at once". I volunteer at the local Animal Protection Service. I know a dogs body laungage very well. This is not play, I assure you it is a warning. I doubt the dog would attack to kill but a bite is very imminent.
@necronamicon I am not wrong. I know many dogs that act in this exact same manner and not one has ever caused any injury, nor bitten or attacked anyone. As mentioned, my dog a staffordshire bull terrior does this a lot, especially with my sister when she was a baby but he never bit anyone because he knew that she wasn't going to be harmed. The dog in this video knows that to, and I don't for a minute believe you have any experience with animals if you can't tell that.
@WLYBEE yes you are. There is a difference between dog growls. Just because you own a dog and it plays and growls doesn't have anything to do with this video. ps I don't care what you believe
@necronamicon No that is completely wrong. Many dogs do this but only dogs that are poorly trained would ever bite of attack. Look at this video again, the man actually makes contact with the baby and can pick her up whenever he feels like it because the dog knows who is boss. The man's face is right in front of the dogs giving it ample opportunity to strike but it doesn't, because it knows that it's his master. If you had actually known anything about dogs you would know this. True story.
@WLYBEE you actually have half of this right. The dog knows it is not alpha, however the dog does have instincts and isn't a stupid animal. One last time, this dog is "Warning" the man is using that to make the dog growl more. This guy is pushing this dogs buttons. Now will this dog get sick of being pestered? Will this dog decide the warning needs to be more stern and actually bite? Who knows, but is it possible. Yes it is. Now if this dog does that, whos fault is it?
@necronamicon I know the dog isn't a stupid animal and the dog isn't being pestered, in fact it knows that the man is playing with it. If this dog actually thought the girl was threatened he would simply attack, it's that simple. As I've already send numerous times, there are many dogs that growl like, it is not warning the man but showing him he is playing. If the dog attacks you are correct, it is the owners fault, but not because he is pestering it, but because it hasn't been trained.
@WLYBEE ok now, what about the dogs body language tells you "play". When dogs play they want to play, and keep going yeah? If the dog were really playing it would be alot more energetic. This dog stays calm and assertive until when? The dude tries to touch the baby correct? Dogs in a pack "in regards to keeping order" act in the same manor. I don't mean to insult you but you don't know what you are talking about. You may love dogs as much as I do but you are wrong. This is not play.
perfectly normal, mine when was alive did the same thing, all I had to do was look her in the eyes and she would move aside, rotties will challenge you and be playful until the day they die you really need to own one to understand it, a lot of softcoks here who don't actually own a Rottweiler let alone a dog but they are experts, stupid keyboard warriors.
rotts dont like their hands around theire heads. itll growl adn growl but nothing will come up of it. once the baby is grabbed the dog will merely lick its lips and go on with its day.
Ignore the hate comments, 90% of these people will have never owned a rottweiler, I myself have lived with two for a long long time, my oldest rottie is 11 this year and he is the softest thing you could ever imagine however when it comes to protecting me he'll take your head clean off, rottweilers aren't as vicious as these pathetic people make them out to be.
@PvMPlague "...when it comes to protecting me he'll take your head clean off, rottweilers aren't as vicious as these pathetic people make them out to be."
lol...I would hate to see what you're idea of vicious is
That's just not right..Maybe he is not going to bite the owner but how about if friends or their relatives approach the baby and the Rott was there? What do you think should happen?
bullshit u guys. my rottweiler does the same thing when he is in front of my daughter. but as soon as i get up and get real with him and tell him to move or stop he cowards and moves. I had my rott trained for a yr. how do u think they get trained. by that person who is always with them. I had to wear the bite sleeve with mine. but he wont ever attack me. its getting them to learn how to do it. Hey loverscave. keep doin ur thang brah. thats a good dog and a great rottweiler.
@nerfproplayer I assume you don't have a dog because you apparently cannot read dog body language.. He isn't putting the baby in any danger. This wouldn't be the first dog that can growl on command.
@drwook i have a dog but he cant just makes it angry like that bcs he might scare the baby and ye they are friendly animals but strong too but he has to be carefull for not scaring that baby
somone does not have control over his dog! its very poor to see that the guy is not experienced with dogs otherwise he would directly stop his dog from doing so
this isnt the dog " protecting the child", youre dog needs some training, you need to make it clear that you are his pack leader because he thinks he is. He think he controls what you do, and hes growling because he wants to let you know he doesnt give you permission to touch him. in other words, hes taken over your family, and is dominant. btw, when hes growling like that, and you stroke his head, youre telling him that he is doing the right thing.
Butterfly, youre the kind of person that would take a dog to the pound cause, "I can't handle him/her" you ignorant f' ing moron. You really think this is the first time the dog has growled in front of the baby??? The Rot is performing it's most basic instinct to protect but OBVIOUSLY knows enough not to bite the hand that feeds it. You should thank god regularly for the ability to converse because it's people like you who make me question his existence
Rotties are VERY vocal dogs! This Rottie is NOT showing any aggression, she is telling you that you are annoying her though. My Rottie growls, woofs and snarels at me for many different things, mainly to get my attention if she wants something, which is usually to play! I will say that it seems as though you are taunting her and it doesn't matter what breed of dog you have, you are asking for trouble. Yet overall your Rottie doesn't appear to be aggressaive.
If the dog is showing aggression toward you, which is exactly how it appears, you are not in control of the dog. I think you're pranking us just to get people ranting about your alleged irresponsible behavior. I don't think it's very kind of you to incite people to anger over your video.
Not good. Your dog thinks she's the pack leader and the baby is hers. She'll defend the baby with her life anyway, she shouldn't EVER be aggressive towards you. And she's not playing, she's warning. The only other time a rot will growl is a way of complaining, but the owner should know the difference. My boy used to growl under his breath when getting his nails clipped at the vet - but never when I did it. It was not the same growl as when the mailman was outside. I called it his grumpy growl.
@442hoeky bullshit u guys. my rottweiler does the same thing when he is in front of my daughter. but as soon as i get up and get real with him and tell him to move or stop he cowards and moves.
Sorry but I think your wrong to encourage this from your dog. It will naturally protect your child and you sure do not ever want it to see you as a threat to the baby. Big mistake I think. ...This is my thoughts...pat
Yeah I agree because my dad use to praise my dog when she would bark at him or other people when us kids were around because he was trying to teach her that she needed to protect us, but then she became overly protective and now we have to undo a little bit of what was taught because she's a heard dog so sometimes she nips people's heels. So just be careful on what you support. The dog appears to love the baby and I'm sure protect her if that is ever necessary.
my uncles dog did this, but to a stranger. The guy was trying to get into his house and the dog heard the man trying to break in to the house so the dog ran down stairs and started jumping, growling, and barking at the door. All the rucus woke my uncle up. My uncle has a lab! so it doesnt have to be a rott, pitt, german shepherd or any other dogs that have the aggressive name to be protective.
Political correctness aside, anyone who leaves a dog that big with a baby is a moron. Take some responsibility. Even if there is only a 1% chance that it would bite, theres still a chance. So irresponsible. Its an animal!

MrJseidlich 3 weeks ago
Let me ask you a question. When this dog eventually bites you, or none intentionaly bites the child attempting to bite you, who does the fault land on? Will the dog be blamed and then put to sleep?
You see the dog isn't playing a game or having a good time. In the dogs mind that is it's baby and it's warning you not to mess with it. Now you make a game of it and think it's so cute. Well eventually someone will have to really pick that baby up and maybe that day the dog isn't gonna allow it.
necronamicon 4 weeks ago 26
@necronamicon You need to chill out. Clearly you've never owned a dog because actually in the dogs mind it's playing. My dog does this with everything and he has never bitten me. Shit, there doesn't even need to be something there but if I make it look as if I'm going to grab it he growls, shows his teeth and looks mean but never does anything else.
WLYBEE 1 week ago
@WLYBEE no sir you are wrong. I currently have a 8 yr old pit. I have helped run a personal pitbull and dog rescure "with over 20 animals in my own home at once". I volunteer at the local Animal Protection Service. I know a dogs body laungage very well. This is not play, I assure you it is a warning. I doubt the dog would attack to kill but a bite is very imminent.
necronamicon 1 week ago
@necronamicon I am not wrong. I know many dogs that act in this exact same manner and not one has ever caused any injury, nor bitten or attacked anyone. As mentioned, my dog a staffordshire bull terrior does this a lot, especially with my sister when she was a baby but he never bit anyone because he knew that she wasn't going to be harmed. The dog in this video knows that to, and I don't for a minute believe you have any experience with animals if you can't tell that.
WLYBEE 1 week ago
@WLYBEE yes you are. There is a difference between dog growls. Just because you own a dog and it plays and growls doesn't have anything to do with this video. ps I don't care what you believe
necronamicon 1 week ago
@necronamicon No that is completely wrong. Many dogs do this but only dogs that are poorly trained would ever bite of attack. Look at this video again, the man actually makes contact with the baby and can pick her up whenever he feels like it because the dog knows who is boss. The man's face is right in front of the dogs giving it ample opportunity to strike but it doesn't, because it knows that it's his master. If you had actually known anything about dogs you would know this. True story.
WLYBEE 1 week ago
@WLYBEE you actually have half of this right. The dog knows it is not alpha, however the dog does have instincts and isn't a stupid animal. One last time, this dog is "Warning" the man is using that to make the dog growl more. This guy is pushing this dogs buttons. Now will this dog get sick of being pestered? Will this dog decide the warning needs to be more stern and actually bite? Who knows, but is it possible. Yes it is. Now if this dog does that, whos fault is it?
necronamicon 1 week ago

Ignore the hate comments, 90% of these people will have never owned a rottweiler, I myself have lived with two for a long long time, my oldest rottie is 11 this year and he is the softest thing you could ever imagine however when it comes to protecting me he'll take your head clean off, rottweilers aren't as vicious as these pathetic people make them out to be.

this isnt the dog " protecting the child", youre dog needs some training, you need to make it clear that you are his pack leader because he thinks he is. He think he controls what you do, and hes growling because he wants to let you know he doesnt give you permission to touch him. in other words, hes taken over your family, and is dominant. btw, when hes growling like that, and you stroke his head, youre telling him that he is doing the right thing.

Skooterbird 1 month ago 12
