What made him sexy was his swagger, his bad-assness and his talent. Maybe that's why he is always portrayed by hot men :-)

I love that scene, to me since the first time I saw it decades ago, it remains the best fuck you ever performed on the big screen. A great movie, wonderful acting and yet so sad. We have multiple movies about the big music stars of that era. What will we leave our children with.. Britney Spears doesn't exactly make for a thrilling movie (unless Rob Zombie would direct it in which case, sign me up).

The whole origin of the phrase "rock 'n roll" was invented after Chuck Berry was first played on the radio...and it was the first time anyone ever heard that style of music on the radio ever. There was no Elvis and no JLL.

They didn't have a term for 'sped up Blues' back then, so a dj called it 'rock 'n roll'...and it all started with Chuck.

Dennis Quaid does a passable imitation of Jerry Lee's exuberence, but the screenplay has nowhere near enough depth or subtlety to capture the essence of a man who is much more complex.
