Actually, it's not. And the lyric is "Burning - like Catherine Wheels".

If you have ever taken Speed on top of other drugs, you know what that means. Especially when mixed with painkillers, skag, weed, alocohol , downers etc.

But yes, it can be about smoking methaphetamine too if you like. It's still valid.

What you haven't said is what it says about the hoplessness some people feel.

THAT is what the song is "about". The method of self-destruction is irrelevant.
