The Women's Food and Farming Union has submitted a report to an EU committee on product safety. Its president, Helen Bower, said: "We hope people see sense and they are banned.
The Maritime and Coastguard Agency says coastguards and lifeboats are sent out needlessly. In 2010 the agency recorded 1,500 flare incidents, of which 500 were believed to be false alarms caused by lanterns, while the CAA says they also pose danger to landing aircraft.
Crops are also at risk; last summer in Oxfordshire, a blaze from a lantern destroyed 2.5 hectares of barley. Litter is also a problem, said the NFU: "The people releasing lanterns wouldn't dream of dumping rubbish, but that's what is happening."
Civil Aviation Authority wants a ban on the sale of the sky lanterns, which are paper and wire hot air balloons fuelled by a naked flame. "People have no control where they land," said Nick von Westenholz, government affairs adviser for the NFU. Dorset and Somerset fire service said it had seen a sharp increase in lantern fires in the past year. Farmers say cows suffer stomach damage from eating the wire of fallen lanterns.
Ha! I'm not fooled at all! The "lanterns" look like lanterns, and the people "lighting" them look like humans, but I believe this is actual footage of aliens launching flying saucers that has been doctored up by the government (which is under the control of the Illuminati) to cover up the true nature of the invasion of Stratford. The "lanterns" fail to explain the hundreds of people abducted from their homes in Stratford that evening and the numerous crop circles and cattle mutilations.
There is information, that on Saturday, July 14th, it was very windy. Five unidentified orange lights came from the southeast, but the party address was four miles northwest of the pub - the complete opposite direction from which the five lights came. Is that right?
If something travels up, the direction it is seen 'arriving' alters relative to what direction you were viewing it from.
Please don't take your 'arguments' to these people now just 'cos I cited my sources, this is their wedding vid, not some government mis information, these people were there, you weren't, this is reality, not the X-Files.
Be as crazy as you like, but don't be rude to these people just 'cos your bubbles been burst.
No, I don't think it is because we were actually right downtown at the Thistle hotel that evening, which is across the street from the RSC and around the corner from the pub.
You can see the 'formation' toward the end of the video, too. (You can also hear someone joking about a ufo sighting- who knew it would explode like this??) :P
I'm currently getting abused on another vids comments for trying to tell people these sightings were sky lanterns, it's fascinating, all they have to do if they really want to know the truth is do what I did, type 'Straford upon Avon, Sky Lantern' into Youtube, and here you are.
Hell, you can even see the 'formation' they made in the sky before your last one 'flew in at breakneck speed and joined them' and it matches the other vid.
hehe I know! I feel bad, because I believe that it's possible that there is alien life out there... this just isn't one of those cases. People seem to genuinely believe that it's a government cover up- even with the video! What else can we do?? :P
I must say that this is brilliant, thank you oh thank you for embarassing the silly UFO nuts xx

Everything depends on how much complete info we have about what happened in that evening.

Oh I see, so your lanterns account for the other 20 or so reports from around the UK on the same day then too do they? Congratulations by the way! :)
esotericvibes 4 years ago
No, I think they only specifically account for the five 'ufo's' seen over Stratford-upon-Avon on July 14th around 10:30.
And thank you! :)
